    First and foremost, The staff was outstanding! They have free valet. The host was warm and welcoming. Our waitress was knowledgeable about all the dishes and was so kind and patient. Secondly, the food was outstanding! I would greatly recommend visiting this restaurant. The staff greeted us upon arrival and departure. I will be visiting again!

    Our dinner was excellent. Our server was attentive, but not overly enthusiastic. However, where we were seated was so noisy, I could barely hear the person seated across from me.

    We arrived and the hostess did not even give us a moment to close the door before asking us if we had a reservation. She was young , immature. She needed a little guidance in how to greet and treat people. We orders two steaks, appetizers, one side and shared a dessert . No alcohol. We paid $250.00 which included the tip. The appetizer bread was not warm. Our server was pleasant but a tad bit aloof. The hostss told us “we can give you this table but you must leave by 7pm”. We had a 5:45 reservation and were seated by 5:50. The steak was tasty. The owner/manager came around twice asking if everything was ok. It was ok. But we paid a lot for the food and expected better service. The younglings need to be better trained on how to treat customers. And the food costs more than it should.

    Food was amazingly bland. Risotto was tasteless and while the middle of the duck breast was awesome the ends were dry and the green lentils and brussel sprouts tasted unseasoned. Service was exceptional but cant return

    Overpriced and loud at the table where we were seated. “Signature dish”, Dover sole, was presented poorly, lacked flavor even when saturated with accompanied buttered sauce. Ridiculous price for a dish that was not memorable. No problem paying a premium for unique entree when it is worthy of the charge. There are so many other restaurant options that outshine Savona.

    We were entertaining our neighbors who have not been to Savona in over 25 years. They were absolutely blown away with the renovations that have taken place. They could not get over how beautiful the bar area looked, the main dining room, the patio and the addition of the porch. They felt as if they were in an entirely different restaurant. We all ordered the Lobster cocktail for our appetizer which was absolutely out of this world. The Scallops entree was quite frankly the best we’ve ever had. The veggies & the sauce that was served with the Scallops was a perfect complement. The Dover sole is definitely your signature dish because our neighbors could not get over how unique & tasty it was. We ended our fabulous dinner with the Caramel crunch brownie which was unbelievable delicious. The chef deserves a lot of praise for how tasty these dishes were & the way they were created & plated. We were very lucky and fortunate to have Gena as our server. She was so attentive, knowledgeable about every item on the menu and had an absolutely “awesome” sense of humor. She was even sparring with us all evening and made our dinner 10 times more enjoyable and memorable. THANK YOU Gena “everything” and representing Savona in the best way possible ! We intentionally planned our dinner on an evening when we could see Papi- we have known him for many years. As always, he gave us such a warm greeting and set the tone for the entire evening. Thanks again to everyone for making this such a wonderful evening for our neighbors and ourselves !!!

    Savona is a wonderful place: Blessedly quiet, great service, and very good food -- a real value, in fact. The fish was very fresh, and the artichokes were done just right. Italian food is "simple"... but not; my meaning is that doing it truly well is hard, but Savona does an excellent job. Also: great wine list, and very good desserts. Highly recommended: no hype, just an honest restaurant.

    The wait staff was very nice. The food was good. The noise level was extremely high. We were three people. Three tiny squares of bread were initially brought to the table, then 4 tiny squares, then more. Hated to have to ask again, but it seemed silly. Overall, it was a nice dinner.

    Had lunch Thursday. It was our wedding anniversary. The service and food were wonderful. It was quiet in the dining room downstairs. Only one other table and when they left it was like private dining. Easy parking and in and out. We had a great experience.

    Food this time was a mixed bag. The Fish was awesome, but the pork chop very dry. Drinks were excellent. Biggest issue was the poblano peppers with the pork chop - much hotter than usual and our guest had a severe reaction at the table. Should have been forewarned. We live in New Orleans half the year and are accustomed to spicy. Still live Savona, just will be more careful abought what we order

    Food was ok for the price, valet only which would not have been my first option. Also, the lighting was so bright it made the dining experience unpleasant. We asked the waiter to dim but he forgot.

    Nice place. A little bit overcrowded and noisy, because it was full, and everyone was talking. Food was very good. Service good. Price wise, don’t know what to say, for four of us, ~$300, with only couple of drinks. Nice experience overall.

    Savona helped make our Anniversary truly special. They brought champagne to the table to start. Our food and our waiter were outstanding. We will definitely be back!

    Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and decided to indulge. The staff could not have been better, the kitchen was excellent as always, but the real treat was waiting at the bar for our table with the other patrons. We could not pay for a thing, and everyone was enjoying each other's company. In fact, we were stopped by another lovely couple at the bar on the way out. Try the fig whiskey sour.

    Savona has been a local gem for years but last night was such a disappointment. We wanted a nice after movie dinner at a charming restaurant and instead were treated with loud music and noisy patrons and very slow service. We ordered a salad and pizza which took over a half hour to arrive at our table. The pizza was burnt, greasy, and salty. We have had great dinners and service other times, so we are hoping this was just a really off night for them. The waiter was very gracious and apologetic, but we fear it did not help our overall disappointment.
