The service was outside!! Nothing was to much trouble and the food was fab !! 👍
in London for a couple of days so thought we would try somewhere new for afternoon tea. So glad we tried Scoff and Banter, from the moment we arrived we were treated so well. Food was out of this world, service was excellent. A thoroughly lovely experience.
service was second to none
deserts a little disappointing. Custard smelled amd tasted of egg and sticky toffee pudding was very hard. Plain scones a bit pappy.
Tea went cold very quickly
Cocktails were amazing
Overall though was a nice afternoon
No interested in leaving more informanton
Such a lovely place to enjoy a bit of luxury. We enjoyed afternoon tea which is alows you to choose items from hot and cold menus and great selection of teas and coffees. Of course you can have wines too if you fancy it. Our 2nd visit here and definitely won't be the last.
The service was impeccable. We had Csaba serving us and he went out of his way to make sure it was an enjoyable and when one of the dishes wasnt up to our liking, he immediately changed it and asked us what we would like. Definitely I would come again!
Fantastic food and service. Celebrated my mum's 80th could not have asked for better service.
Amazing food, good selection of options, friendly staff, comfortable seats.
Room was quite warm - I like this but might not suit everyone.
Sitting was for 1.5 hrs but we weren't rushed as restaurant wasn't full and large group arrived that meant staff were busy.
Entrance to restaurant through Radisson hotel lobby, entrance to hotel on street between Debenhams & Disney Store.
Great staff, great food, alot of effort, busy but not rushed best afternoon tea
Cannot fault Scoff & Banter. Four of us had a wonderful visit. Warm welcome from Csaba who talked us through the exciting menu. Such a delight being able to choose two hot dishes as well. Everything was delicious. So well looked after. We shall return!
I would thoroughly recommend. Enjoyed a girly weekday lunch with a friend. The staff were polite and very affable. Loved the variety and choices available, I dare anyone to eat it all!
Everything was perfect, the staff was excellent, and the quality of the food amazing.
The tea rooms are just off Oxford Street, making it an ideal location for a Christmas shopping break. The tea room itself was pleasant with quality linen and crockery. We enjoyed the hot course option; it made for a slightly different sort of afternoon tea. The food was delicious, however we found the vegetarian options very limited - my daughter had egg florentine, followed by egg sandwiches and croquet madame without the ham (another egg), the only other vegetarian option being a cucumber sandwich. It's not that hard to add a little variety for veggies, but when asked for an alternative option they couldn't provide it. So overall, good food, if a little expensive, but not recommended for vegetarians.
Bread was stale
Scones were dry
Not enough cream
Waiters were slow
Would not re-visit
The only nice part was the beef starter
food was very nice
the room can be decorated a little bit more cozy.
Myself and my companion were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Service was very friendly but not overbearing. We both enjoyed the food and drinks. I would definitely recommend Scoffs and Banter to others,my afternoon was also very easy to book which I found very helpful . I would definitely go again .
Excellent afternoon tea. Cosy room. Great service. Perfect :)
Nathalie - our waitress - gave us excellent service.
Had a great time celebrating my sister's birthday. We were a party of eight and the food was fabulous. We were looked after by Edit and nothing was too much trouble. Can recommend the arancini and the Seville orange scones were to die for. Would visit again as good value for money
We had the best time. Relaxing, gorgeous food and definitely a great alternative way to enjoy an afternoon tea. We all loved how you could create a bespoke meal, and it was all faultless.
Staff were so lovely and attentive spoiling us with prosecco and extra cake as it was my partners birthday. 2nd visit here and didn’t disappoint would highly recommend
A really lovely afternoon tea, great food with a few extras to make it just a little different and special. The staff were very good if a little busy. Would happily recommend.
Excellent service, wonderful ambiance and incredibly delicious food. While all of the food was scrumptious, I particularly loved the mushroom arancini and the dark chocolate mousse. It was a wonderful afternoon tea experience that I would try again.
The tea and food was excellent, but even more, the service was simply outstanding. Our waiter, a young man named Csabo, treated us as if we were royalty, and with great friendliness and humor. He was also very skilled about walking us through all the options available to us on the afternoon tea menu--and very patient in doing so, despite the fact that he had a busy tea room to serve all by himself. The man is a hero: and the quality of the afternoon tea package is great value for money
Thank you for great service, a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food! We felt looked after and had a lovely afternoon. Staff were attentive but not too much so that we had lots of time to enjoy the food and chat. Thank you - we’ll be back!
Amazing service and great food. Always a pleasure and I will keep coming back:-)
The food was good- the tarts were not freshly made. The crusts were soft so obviously had been made the day before. The wait staff was attentive.
Wonderful staff. Very welcoming experience. Food was delicious.
Fabulous afternoon tea, great service and location was easy to find.
Sorely disappointed by my second visit to this tea room. Reduced afternoon tea menu with an alcohic drink included in the price but no alternative available for those not drinking or underage. And no offer of a discount. And no indicidation on website when their "Winter"menus kicked in.
Sandwiches still cold from the fridge and same with choux bun.
Given the full afternoon tea is normally £36, £32 for half the menu in choices didn't feel like good value.
Sorry Scoff and Banter. Last time I visited it was amazing and that's why I came back to celebrate my kids birthday and 1st afternoon tea. We left sorely disappointed.
Anything is ok
Been there couple of times. It was better a year ago. Still, I‘d recommend to go there once but wouldn’t recommend to go there for a second time.
My friend and I celebrated our joint birthdays with Afternoon Tea at Scoff & Banter in Oxford Strett last Saturday. What a wonderful afternoon! Everything was fabulous - the food, the ambience and the outstanding service extended to us by Roberto and Natalie who treated us like princesses. This was not our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last! Thank you to Roberto, Natalie and all the team who made our birthday celebrations so special. See you soon!
Lovely tea room tucked away behind Debenhams. I nearly missed it because it was not well signed but it’s on the first floor of the Radisson Hotel. Really comfortable seating and friendly but not overbearing service. The tea was nice and plentiful - including a hot starter - so make sure you are hungry! The scones and cakes were OK but not the best I’ve ever had. The ambience made up for it however.
Definitely the best afternoon we had while in London. The caliber and quality of the food served was amazing making it worth the price. Tea was excellent. We had afternoon tea at other places for a similar price and all it was was basic dinner sandwiches, scones and dessert. Scoff and Banter was next level!
My partner and I had a wonderful experience when we took his parents out for afternoon tea .
His dad is not a lover of sweet things so had never been to afternoon tea before and it was tricky trying to find one he'd enjoy - this one he loved! He finished his desserts before any of us had even started ours which is a first.
We loved that there was a hot starter and you got to choose what you wanted to make up your afternoon tea along with the choice to have coffee instead of tea. Service was great and the value for money is fantastic, we couldn't believe how much food we had. Can't wait to come back again and we've already have several friends interested in coming along too.
Absolutely lovely afternoon tea with warm starters, excellent teas and a great service.
I visited with a friend from New York who wanted to experience a real English Afternoon Tea, and she was not disappointed! We had such a fab time, Lisa was fantastic and we had a really relaxed afternoon. The food was delicious and we appreciated the prosecco too!
Thank you Edit!
Lovely site with great staff and great service. Good selection of teas, and a varied menu. We didn’t care for one of our items; our server quickly substituted another item. A relaxing and enjoyable afternoon stop!
