Scott's Bar Counter
Tables look on to the elegant oyster and Champagne bar with the full à la carte menu being served throughout the day from 12 noon.
We actually sat at a well-positioned table and ordered Dover sole meunière which was filleted tableside, and accompanied by a la carte leaf spinach and roasted potatoes, all excellent and served beautifully. The desert, one Williams peach tart, and one sorbet, looked appetizing and tasted even better.
Always great to be in london and go to Scott’s for a dinner. My favorite dishes are dover sole and fish and chips . amazing atmosphere and beautiful interior!
When in London we love to visit Scott's, especially the bar counter, great service, ambience and superb food...
it's a great location to check out what everyone else is eating too.
Menu and staff both very good, but we were served by a material number of different wait staff, which meant we had to repeat ourselves on more than one occasion.
One waiter's English wasn't the best and expressed attitude when I suggested we had gone round in a circle when discussing a menu item - low point of the evening.
The overall level of attention to service and desire to please was very welcome and appreciated.
A very good 3-4 hours, even though reception initially stated they wanted the table vacated within two hours.
I do NOT appreciate being called within one hour of booking to "confirm" my reservation. Once booked I either show or give at least 24 hours notice of cancelling absent an event beyond my control.
Being asked to call to confirm is a high cost activity.
If you're lucky enough to snag a reservation than you're in luck...incredible food fantastic service great people watching
If you love the freshest seafood in a very chic relaxing restaurant then this is for you
Be prepared to spend a small fortune to eat here...but
You will not be disappointed
Having looked forward to an enjoyable experience it was disappointing when it did not live up to expectations. We arrived and were greeted warmly by very friendly greeting staff. However we had to wait over 5 minutes before we could order our pre lunch drinks.
We were seated down by very friendly people and our first course was fabulous and well presented. Our main course, John Dorey was a let down in that the fish was dry and looked as if it had been reheated, not something we expect from an establishment of your reputation.
I would be reluctant to repeat the experience in a hurry.
I would also recommend my friends to visit but with a warning to manage their expectations.
Very helpfully reception staff, great quality food.
The restaurant was amazzinnggg but My reservation wasn’t found
We will go there again and again. We enjoyed the food, service and the atmosphere.
The food was fantastic,Fresh sea food and tasty,I will definatly go back soon.
Excellent in all categories. Go to Scott’s every time I’m in London each year. Never disappoints. Quality has been sustained over 9 years
We visited this restaurant for our anniversary, the food and service was excellent, we would recommend this restaurant.
Attentive staff, good quality food, very noisy and not conducive to a quite night out. Bar service was excellent but bar seating is not ideal for dining in my opinion.
We had a fantastic meal! It was fun to sit at the bar and watch all of the action. This is a fantastic restaurant, in a great Mayfair location.
Sat at the bar, service was great. Bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable about wines and food. Made the night fun
Service was terrible
Great drinks & attention to detail
My dad visited
By far the best restaurant in town, the food was perfection...
This place was packed on a Tuesday night. About half business people, half people out for a meal. Make no mistake this is an expensive restaurant. We were staying at nearby hotel, and needed a break from fried fish and chips. Wanted healthy, straight forward fish. Service very attentive, noise challenged. Sat in banquette against wall so think that helped. Bar area hopping. Can reserve spots there. Had one of the best octopus dishes ever. Octopus carpaccio. So delicate and delicious. Basically they make a terrine of the legs, then slice paper thin pieces with some olive oil. Would go back just for that. The rest of the food very good. Large wine list with some nice french white burgundies. Desserts looked ridiculously large. Whole place reminded me of Estiatorio Milos in terms of food, and decor of an American steakhouse (Gibsons Chicago or similar) dark wood paneling, boys club vibe. Most men had jackets, no tie.
A tourist trip in a fancy part of town. Why do people go here?
Amazing dinner as always at Scott's. Very good service, champagne and food. I like so much this restaurant. I have been here several times and it was always perfect
Visiting London from the US and this place came highly recommended. It did not disappoint.
On vacation in London and went to Scott’s. Will definitely go back Food was great and service exceptional
As always excellent.
The fish was too oily, it was just average
Consistently enjoyable. Good service, high quality, stylish.
The service was excellent with a call to confirm the reservation on the day. The waitress found a table for us rather than eat at the bar with that notice and I was impressed. The food was delicious and the cocktail too. The service once we were there was excellent too. Full marks for the quality of the fish and for the cooking. I shall certainly recommend to family and friends!
Visited Scott's for my sister's birthday lunch.. The staff are always amazing, the food is consistent and we had a lovely time - highly recommend.
Always brilliant food and great for star spotting, no names mentioned ‘definitely maybe’ we’ll be going back!
Fancy restaurant with nice decor, but much older clientele than expected. Service was great, very friendly waiter but 2 out of the 4 dished we had were not that good.
We sat at the bar. Food was good but bartender/server wasn't the friendliest person. I would go back again but hope to have better service.
Definitely an upscale London experience. This is the place for seafood. We sat at the bar, which was entertaining, and shared the 22-ounce Dover Sole, which was perfectly prepared. We'll be back.
Everything was far too quick, despite being in the last sitting (I think - 8:30pm) we felt harassed, pushed, unwelcome and over our allotted time, no sooner had we finished one course than the next appeared on the table! Not perfect for a 40th Wedding Anniversary and a bill approaching £400 for two!
I spoke to the manager, who was very understanding and apologetic, and frankly he somehow prevented me from making my views felt much farther afield, if you see what I mean!
I'm not looking for any special treatment nor compensation, being a businessman in a consumer driven sector, I actually abhor that, but am paranoid about top quality service, especially when you pay for it! As it happens, I have been to your restaurant on many occasions before, mainly as a guest, when I have not experienced such circumstances, so let's either put it down to 'who you are' or alternatively some over zealous staff who are encouraged to keep the table turning over! Either way, best learn from it!

Very good food at reasonable Price ande very good service. The ambiance is excellent
The food was very good: fresh ingredients, and very well prepared dishes. The wine was of comparable quality - nothing negative to say there. The only improvement point would be the service - in a few instances, it took 5 mins to get waiters' attention. Nonetheless, I would recommend Scott's to my friends
Scotts is my favourite restaurant, as the experience from start to finish never fails to disappoint. The food and service is consistent and I never had a bad meal or night out there.Looking forward to returning very soon.
