Secreto Southern Kitchen - Alpharetta
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Secreto and it was our first visit to the restaurant. What a wonderful surprise when the manager welcomed us with a glass of bubbly to start our celebration! We had great service and wonderful food! Loved loved loved the fried green tomatoes! We had the friend chicken and the pork chop and both were so good! Dessert was carrot cake to die for and a delicious raspberry creme brûlée. We left so happy to have a found a new favorite restaurant!
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here last night. The cocktails were expertly constructed, the food was great, atmosphere vibrant but not loud, and our waiter was very helpful. We will absolutely come back.
Great food and good service.
Great Date spot! Doug, the bartender, provides great service!
This is a great little place - great service and delicious food.
A fan of the chef. Good food and nice place and reasonably priced. Pork chop is my fav.
Every dish we ordered was out of stock -salads, entrees. We had to order alternates. Server apologized but no one came to our table to make any amends. Nothing from the manager who just seemed to walk around grunting. You’d think someone might offer a dessert or glass of wine on the house for all that. If it had been my first visit there I’d never return. As it is I’m unsure about returning to a place that does not value customer service. We were always pleasant to our server But the server was rude after we paid our check.
I am sorry that you had such a poor experience at our restaurant. I was the manager that night and feel terrible that I gave you that impression. I always try to talk to every table that comes in, so if I did not come and talk to you or seemed to be grunting at your table I am truly sorry. I would love to invite you all back so that me and my staff can try and earn your trust back that we do value customer service. If you do decide to come back, please reach out to me to set up the reservation.
Great small restaurant with a good selection of entrees that rotate my season.
Great service and food...kind of a dark place...Not the best place for kids but a nice vibe for adults...
Great service. Good food
Always awesome, food is excellent, great place for a special occasion!
Food quality and service was exceptioonal! This was our second time visiting and will definitely be back.
I have had dinner here several times and this the first time for lunch. We had a fantastic lunch, both ordered the salmon salad, excellent. We will be back again for lunch bringing more friends!!!
We had a late, light meal after spending the evening at Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Restaurant was not crowded and service was very good. I had the Crab Bisque and the Bibb Lettuce salad and my sister had the Black Bean Soup and Spinach Salad. The food was tasty and presented well. I enjoyed the added lemon in my salad. I’m looking forward to returning to taste their Diver Scallops and Crab Cakes.
Waiter inadvertently charged another tables bill to my card. As I realized what had happened and another employee came to me and rectified the situation before I could ask. That was a bit nerve wracking.
We were early for our reservation expecting to have a drink at the bar. The bar was full but the hostess was able to seat us early. We were greeted quickly by the waiter and assistant with a complimentary Champagne. It was a good experience for the next 2 hours. Had the crab cake, nice large chunks of crab meat in a remoulade sauce with greens, very nice. For mains, they happily accommodated my wife’s request for a different side.
Food and service were very good. Desert was enough for two. Really enjoyed the visit.
Very enjoyable. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Good quality meal and affordable.
Would be nice to create a few nooks , insert plants, or partitions to give the semblance of more privacy at least at a few tables.
Loved the FOOD the ATMOSPHERE and the PEOPLE! Even my 9-year-old raved about the food! Will def go again!
Had a great meal. Only complaint was that the salads were delivered by someone other than waiter and he literally dropped them on the table. Rather rude
This place was absolutely delicious, and fast staff. However Google cost rating at $$ is misleading. It is more a $$$. Two people was 124total. (Without tip tho)
We started with their shrimp appetizer, it was 12 bucks for 4 pieces of sweet n sour shrimp.
Then she had the redfish, said it was amazing. I had the porkchop (28$) it was one the best chops I've had in my life, mine came with 5 pieces of asparagus and mac n chz.
I had two beers 7 bucks each, she had 2 wines 14 bucks a glass.
All n all, I cant swing it as a first date spot, or regular eating. Though I'm sure 6 figure people can. This will be saved as a special dinner spot for me.. I would totally come back if I could afford to though!!
A perfect dining experience from start to finish!! Our server suggested a few menu items that were incredible and I asked for a creative gin drink and he knocked it out of the park!
Our server Sebastian was excellent and the food was amazing as always. I would highly recommend saving room for the warm carrot cake dessert.
Decided to take a risk and Celebrated our 25th anniversary here... so glad we did!! Will be back
We sat at the bar and our barge was very friendly and checked on us through the night, making sure everything was good.
Very good food with good presentation.
Good mother's day brunch.
Love Secreto. Delish pork belly/risotto and fried green tomato appetizers to start. The 3 of us had fried chicken, redfish, and salmon. All were very pleased with the presentation as well as the taste. Wine choices were also great. We’ll be back for sure!
This is absolutely one of my favorites. Been here many times and every time is great. Chef Boyd keeps producing a great experience with great food. The chicken is my favorite. Do yourself a favor- go to Secreto.
Amazing food and service!
Another nice-looking but mediocre place in the Alpharetta/ Roswell area. Went there on a Wednesday night. Not full but our waiter had too many tables so service suffered. I had shrimp and grits. Heavy and weird bottle-smoke flavor to them. It was a solid lump of grits. Too much going on...this dish should be simple. Mom had fried chicken and it was smothered in gravy. My husband had salmon and like it. Disappointing overall. Only three desserts to choose from and they were out of the only one my Mom wanted. Also a bit too loud in there. Needs more noise-reducing material.
Have dined at Secreto numerous times and it still remains one of my favorites. Was a bit disappointed in the service on this occasion, being that it was slow and in spite of the restaurant not being overly busy.
Waited at bar and finally had to flag down a bartender to get our drink orders. Waiter could have been more attentive and food took a very long time to arrive.
Our Drinks were spectacular. Our server super attentive and the food delicious. We will definitely be coming back here.
The food was excellent! Loved the friend chicken, and the fried green tomatoes! Poor service - took 20 minutes to get drink orders and another 15 to order. Not acceptable - but especially at lunch when time is tight.
The food was outstanding. Unfortunately the service was a bit lacking and our server constantly forgot to refresh our drinks. I would recommend this restaurant, very good value. Hope you get a good server.
Always a great dining experience!
This is a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path of many of Alpharetta's best restaurants, but it's worth the couple of minutes to get to it. The food was positively outstanding. It is definitely chef destination dining. My wife and I likened it to Bite, with its small but outstanding, chef-driven menu. The service staff was a bit slow to attend, but any concern there disappeared at first bite.
Fried chicken was as delicious as I remembered it to be. Service was very slow and could have been more gracious.
