Choice of Seafood (Add Lobster $15pp), Meat, or Vegetable
Flan de la Casa
Roasted Suckling Pig, Navarro potatoes, Au-Jus
The outside seating is very nice but the service was slow and spotty. They were understaffed. The food was good with the exception of my hamburger which I ordered medium rare but came back medium well. The wine was poured at the table and was under a regular pour. It was disappointing since we have enjoyed other meals there.
Delicious food. Attentive service. A must visit - looking forward to coming back and trying out the paella!
Yet another nice meal at SER.
Excellent all around - so happy it was our choice for a birthday celebration!
As a first timer and non- DC resident this was a nice place to eat with very pleasant and helpful wait staff. We enjoyed our meals. The menu is a bit different which provides options and I appreciate. I would visit again
I ordered seafood pallea, duck with mushroom rice and brussels sprouts. I was there with my boyfriend and my friend. The food was plenty for three of us. We all agreed that the best meal is the brussels sprouts We found the seafood pallea was too oily and the calamary was tough. The duck meat was tender but it didn't have a taste. The mushroom rice was good.
Our first trip to SER was for lunch. We enjoyed it and would go again. Our exposure to the menu, however, was very limited...three dishes only (gambas y semola, tortilla espanola sandwich, and berejenas fritas). Nonetheless, everyone of us throught they were very good. We sampled the Bertola amontillado sherry. It was good, but it struck us as overpriced.
Food wad great! Waiter kept us waiting to order. When reservations were made via website we marked the prompt that is was a birthday dinner and restaurant didn't make it special in any way. But maybe that was on us.
Very good Spanish cuisine. Great cold cuts (especially the pata negra) and deserts. I recommend!
Outstanding service and amazing food as always.
Another good experience at SER. Unique food options and nice coveted outdoor seating.
I had the 3 course lunch with the catch of the day, salmon, which was cooked perfectly! I chose gazpacho for the soup and the home made flan for dessert! Yummy! I’ll be back!
Tip: Park in the underground parking lot and they will validate your ticket!!
Great services. Food is great but in the salty side.
Nice ambient and Spanish food! Service was great!
Great food and service! We really enjoyed and had a great time. We’ll come back soon :-)
Excellent service and food, as usual
SER is a very good local restaurant with delicious food
SER is always our “go to” place for special occasions. Great food. Great service. Great environment. A true gem!
Wonderful as always. So glad I asked about the table number for our favorite table!!!!
Think a top notch Jose Andres restaurant without the high prices. Really delicious Spanish food with gracious service.
Amazing atmosphere, lovely Patio, food was outstanding and our server Ana was very sweet.
Best service in DMV, we will be back.
Anniversary dinner. Charming server and excellent food
Waiter - Christian was awesome. His recommendations, professionalism and humor were the perfect mix for a definitely remarkable first experience. Will definitely go back
Great dinner and excellent service!
Everything was fabulous! Every dish we ordered was great and we loved the sparkling sangria....will definitely be back!
We got a tasting option they have for $55. It was delicious and more than enough food. We got to try 9 different dishes. Everything delicious. The people were attentive and nice. The place is clean and wasn’t crowded. Anyone second guessing should just go.
Our group was celebrating a graduation and finally meeting each other in person! Service was very attentive but not pushy. They even brought out a glass of cava for my friend who graduated.
Would come here again! It’s definitely worth a try.
Best tapas in the DC area. Just go, you won't regret it.
We have gone to SER over a dozen times and have never had a bad experience there, unless you count the prepandemic times when the inside could get very loud at happy hour on a Friday evening. This Friday we sat outside in their tent-covered outside area. Traffic was the loudest noise, but it really wasn’t loud at all. The service was prompt and professional and our four tapas plates were well spaced. The complementary bread came out hot and fresh, and the olive bread was amazing. Our tapas were pan catalana, always a hit, corizitos with amazing mashed potatoes, the gambas, and the croquetas. Everything was delicious. Ask for the gambas first so you can dip your bread in the hot and slightly spicy garlic oil!
Wait staff very attentive. Good drinks. Food pretty good.
fake spanish food
We had such a lovely patio dinner. Stacy was our waitress and she was attentive without being pushy - she gave us great recommendations and was just friendly and great!
One of the better dining experiences I’ve had in the DC area. Wonderful!
REALLY enjoyed our evening at SER. We got there at 530 so that we could take advantage of the Happy Hour prices and we were not disappointed! Our server was so attentive and helpful and made sure our glasses were full. The food is amazing! We split 4 apps which was perfect for two people. Highly recommend!
Great lunch, food and service was outstanding.
The food was very good. The service less so. No apology was offered that we had to wait awhile after our reservation time to get seated. Our waitress was not particularly attentive. E.g., although bread was promised more than once, it never arrived. No one checked at any time to see if we needed more water (we did). At the end, we were not asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, she just brought us the check. Maybe they were understaffed for a busy Saturday evening.
Good=two appetizers were wonderful.
Bad= we made a reservation for 6 old friends uniting after more than a year of Covid. reservation made about a week in advance and confirmed multiple times after prompts by SER. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told NO reservation and no table, but three small tables were hurriedly moved right up to the curb on Glebe Road, a very unsatisfactory solution. After insisting a short time, a second, better table was prepared by adding a small table to two existing tables. This was minimally satisfactory.
BAD = the ambient noise was really loud and one end of our table could not hear the other end.
BAD=we waited well over an hour between appetizers and main course. unbelievable for a restaurant that features its service to be excellent on the website.
BAD=one main course, Squid, was served cold and rubbery.
BAD = MANAGEMENT, as SER was clearly over booked, packed and there were insufficient wait staff (we had to work to get our waiter--not his fault.) The place seemed just overwhelmed.
SUMMARY -- SER was highly recommended by three of our group, but will not stay on OUR list of good restaurants after a truly bad experience.
Another great dining experience at SER. The staff is awesome! The food was good. We are outside on their patio - nice atmosphere.
We've always enjoyed the food at SER but service has been hit or miss. On this particular occasion we went for dinner on a Saturday night and it was a 3 hr dinner. The other tables around us turned over once or twice so I'm not sure if it was our server in particular. At times it just seemed like he forgot about going to the kitchen to check on / put in / pick up our orders.
Excellent experience. Live music was great! Friendly service.
