It's always a pleasure to visit Serenade. The tables were spaced well and partitioned. we felt very safe and comfortable. The food and service were exceptional as expected.

Our first restaurant visit in over a year. Excellent overall, marred only by a woman at a nearby table who apparently does not understand she needs to modulate her voice in a restaurant. We did not enjoy dining “with her.”

Food and service were excellent. We went later in the day so there weren’t really any other diners in our area so it felt a little too quiet, but that can’t really be helped under the current circumstances.

As usual, excellent food and fantastic service. Not cheap but worth it when you feel like splurging.

Pleasant atmosphere reminiscent of New England. Food is above average and thoughtfully presented. Wait staff are particularly attentive.

I have eaten at all of the fine restaurants in Northern Jersey so I don’t know how I missed Serenade.
I can’t adequately express how much we enjoyed the food other than to say it is now in first place on my list in the area and VERY close to the top compared to any restaurant I have eaten at, anywhere.
Having worked in a number of fine kitchens professionally, I am truly impressed at the quality and flavor of the food. And a full dinner for two with drinks was less than the typical $200 checks I have seen lately for food and service that were not even half as good.
Jose, our waiter was a pleasing and attentive gentleman. The space was quiet and refined.
The food came promptly and after the tortellini and best tuna tartare I have ever had, we moved to the lemon sole with lobster risotto and Asian short ribs with sticky rice. We finished it off with an apple cobbler with ice cream and we could not have been more pleased with the selections.
My hat is off to a wonderful experience that scored big time for my wife’s 70th! We will be back soon.

We went for a double birthday celebration, got seating upstairs in a nice quiet corner. Service was great, food was fantastic. First time eating here, and it didn't disappoint.

Serenade was a recommendation to us and we are very happy for the recommendation.

The service was fantastic. We were treated as though we were regular patrons. Very friendly and very accommodating yet not intrusive. The wine list is great. We had a Pinot Noir that was as smooth as can be. We shared an octopus appetizer that was amazingly well prepared and served in a boat like dish. We had the lemon sole and the chicken milanese. And dessert was a chocolate tort with vanilla ice cream - not a morsel was left on the plate!

Will we go again? Absolutely and not soon enough.

If you are looking to impress guests, bring them Serenade - they won't stop talking about the dining experience.

What a lovely place to get out of the house and feel totally safe, even during a pandemic. We had our own little section in the bar area with a big sunny window, complete with blind control all to our selves. Food was great. Can't possibly go without getting their wedge salad! Our favorite restaurant in Chatham!

Absolutely amazing experience— first time dining out since COVID. The restaurant has taken every precaution with far spaced tables, glass dividers, and all staff in masks. Food is INCREDIBLE. Every single course was great. Highly recommend the short rib tortellini, lemon sole, and chicken Milanese. Desserts were great too—don’t skip!

Excellent service and atmosphere. The food didn’t live upto the quality of service and ambiance. We were expecting French influenced crusine but it presentation and taste more geared towards american style (quantity per quality).

First time there, a little rushed

Literally everything we ate was so disappointing. Even the stale $6 basket of bread. Steak ordered medium rare and came out well done. Most disappointing dinner in a long time. Would never come back again.

This was our first time in a restaurant indoors in at least a year, and yes Covid was bound to have an impact. Prices for entrees and appetizers were a good $3-5/ higher than the last time we visited Serenade, and I get it. With reduced capacity, prices have to rise. But what put me over the edge was the bread. Not only did they charge $6 for rolls and focaccia, but it was COLD!!

If u are going to charge for bread, make it special and make sure it is warm.

Regular American Diner has much more tastier food than this “upscale” restaurant. Overrated and overpriced place. Total disappointment.

Serenade never disappoints! Their COVID protections are excellent and yet there is still a warmth and intimacy to dining there. And the food is perfect - generous portions and creative flavors. Our favorite restaurant in the area and where we return often.

Although it isn't cheap, the food is delicious and the service is top notch. They did an excellent job spacing tables and following covid restrictions to make diners feel at ease.

The food was impeccable, as well as the service. The room we were in was very modern and too bright.

Wonderful dessert was fantastic found out later on they have their own pastry chef. I havent been to any resturaunt around here where the dessert is that good!! A must go for dessert lovers

We took our daughter to celebrate her 25th birthday.

Love coming here as the atmosphere and food are always special. This time I have to reduce my review to 4 stars because my food was a tad cold and the portion seemed a bit small for the price this time.

Excellent!!!!!Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was a most pleasant dining experience all around. We can’t wait to return as there are so many great menu items to choose from... You have to come back And we will. Great Staff. Very safe also for indoor dining. So no reason to stay home.
