DIRECTIONS: From the main Pike Place Market sign (where they throw the fish), take the stairs down, or from western Ave (across from Kasala Furniture) take the stairs up. Elevator access available as well.

PARKING: street parking on westeren or Pike or 1st ave, or one of the main pike place market public parking garages

Wonderful service, beautiful presentation, lovely setting. I ate here with family and they loved it. If you're very familiar with Moroccan cuisine I would rate it good, not great. The bastilla was little greasy and had more of an egg and chicken texture to the filling and not as much of that nice almond and minced chicken texture I've had elsewhere. The mint tea was just a Stash mint teabag in a mug - not the strong, sweet mint tea with beautiful tea service I associate with Moroccan meals. The chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olive was excellent, as was the veggie couscous with nice stewed apricots. The online menu says they offer Halwa and Olive Oil cake for dessert, but at the restaurant menu they only offered gelato or creme brûlée, which was disappointing as Moroccan sweets are something to look forward to. So overall, it was enjoyable and I'd go again. I'd just temper your expectations if you're excited for full-on Moroccan.

We had a party of 6. We started with a round of cocktails and then ordered one of every appetizer and entree along with a few bottles of wine to pair with various dishes. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were there for 2.5 hours and never felt rushed. We were thrilled to discover that they have a couple of sommeliers (both made excellent recommendations) and we plan to arrive early next time so that we can enjoy the bar. I hope that they invest in some heaters for the patio so that we can sit out there next time. We found it a bit too cool out there though we probably would have been fine if we'd kept our coats on.

Seattle had always needed more options like Shama. Glad to finally have a Moroccan place with great wines. Perfect for a romantic night out or a celebratory night with friends. Great ambiance as well.

This is a delightful restaurant serving Tajins in the middle of Pike Place market. The dining room is pleasant and bright (at least in the Seattle Spring and summer). They even have a little greenhouse that one can dine in. The food is at the fancy end of Moroccan. The place is well-run, especially given that it is relatively new.

A great new addition to the Seattle food scene. As someone who grew up in Paris, I never miss a chance to have good Moroccan food when given the chance and Shama did not disappoint. Looking forward to going back with a bigger group for the mechoui.

The sommelier (and owner) was so informative, welcome and helpful. There was so much thoughtfulness behind his information about the menu etc. we had the lamb shank and it was deeeelicious
