Showroom is a Modern American Casual Restaurant by Chef Bryan Voltaggio. Voltaggio found inspiration in a former Frederick car dealership showroom and transformed it into an open, airy space, with a long counter fronting an open kitchen. Showroom serves Brunch from 8am until 3pm and Dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Adult beverages include boozy milkshakes as well as wine, beer and cocktails. Signature dishes include Fried Chicken with Buttermilk Biscuits, Meatloaf and Duck Fat Fried Potatoes.

Everyone enjoyed their food. However, the service was really off -- several things had to be requested multiple times. There seemed to be plenty of staff working and it was not busy so we could not tell what the cause of these issues were. The worst of it was that we were there for my daughter's birthday, which the server knew. Her dessert never arrived even though we asked for it three times. Finally, it was taken off the bill and a take out version was given to her, but the take out container was a drinking cup with a lid which had a hole in it so it wasn't really a suitable container.

I wanted to love this Voltaggio restaurant, but the service and salt made it a little bit difficult. We made a reservation, specifically asking for indoor bar area. We were led outside, and asked if we could please be sat inside. The host made it feel like a complete imposition so I apologized and mentioned I’d requested the bar inside. He took a minute to look and tell me I was incorrect, then said you can go sit at the bar. When we went to the dining room, only 2 tables were occupied. Not a great start!

We found our way to the bar, where someone greeted us promptly with menus and water, thankfully! We asked a couple questions, got thoughtful answers and ordered. The apps were amazing- chicken pot pie fritters and biscuits. Carb overload and glorious! We ordered sandwiches, which were a bit disappointing. Both the steak sandwich and Nashville chicken sandwich were very heavily over salted. The duck fat fries were delicious though! We had a milkshake for the road, taking most of our entrees home. The shake was delicious!

Overall a meal of highs and lows, but I’d try Showcase again and order more carefully.

First time there. The food was delicious and the service was great. It wasn't very busy when we got there at 1930. We will definitely go back.

Loved waiter Jordan! Super professional for being so young (?)
Not happy with the distance between tables outside. If we choose to sit outside due to COVID the tables should be spaced further apart. Food was amazing kudos to the chef! Loved the wings, scallops with creamed corn and shrimp with risotto! Surprised at the style of plates and glasses used for serving such great food. Plates seemed cafeteria style and maybe use flutes rather than banquet hall dessert glasses? The manager was super attentive to the level of service his staff was providing and coached them respectfully. Not five star review due to the outdoor seating experience.

I made an 8pm reservation. No where on the opentable app nor the restaurants website said the bar was closing at 8pm (8pm!!!). The kitchen was also closing shortly after we sat down. I would have gone somewhere else. You shouldn’t be accepting 8pm reservations if that’s the case. We were hovered over by the waiter (who was really nice) but still felt very rushed. Will likely not be back. My trip to and from the restaurant were both longer than the amount of time we spent in the restaurant…

I dined with my family. This our first visit to Frederick. The restaurant was hidden in plain sight with no signage from side where we entered the parking lot. Once we entered we were pleasantly surprised by the decor. They had our table ready for outdoor dining which I had not requested so we waited for them to add chairs to a table indoors. The way we were seated we had traffic running behind both sides of the table in a narrow passage. I asked for a different table and they moved us to one in front of the bathroom, the serving station and the entrance to outdoor dining. I considered leaving but instead took a deep breath awaited. A peppy young waitress with a trainee waitress greeted us and talked me out of my sour mood. All of the staff seemed young, energetic and pleasant.

The food was really good and well presented. We had cheddar biscuits and pimento cheese for appetizers. My children had Nashville chicken sandwiches which they said were not spicy but the mayonnaise that was served separately was very spicy. My parents had the 1/2 fried chicken which looked and tasted fantastic, especially with the hot honey sauce. I had the special, a lamb burger with a fried feta patty and fries. The special was served with an ale that was complex and tasted amazing. My whole family enjoyed the food immensely. I really appreciated the servers who made our visit enjoyable.

Our favorite from the Family Meal era was their fried chicken and meatloaf dinners. These dinners were flavorful and well seasoned.
The new Showroom ( still owned by Bryan ) was a true disappointment.
Our favorite dinners were tasteless. Just plain bland and greasy!
Save your money and buy Royal Farm chicken! It is the best! If Royal Farm made meatloaf it would be 1000% better.

Food and service was great. Interesting take
On some classic dishes. Duck fat fries and greens were delicious. Crab cake sandwich had different flare with coleslaw added, I preferred it without. Entrees came with pickle which was delicious

I understand the fact that most restaurants are understaffed these days, however, they should simply set the number of tables that they are able to handle. We sat outside and honestly felt "forgotten". We had multiple waiters that seemed confused about who was handling our table, and it took over 1 hour for us to receive our food. Just overall disappointing...

I always wanted to try a restaurant by Bryan after seeing him on top chef multiple times bu there are definitely alot better options in downtown Frederick that are reasonably priced and offer better service. We sat at the bar assuming the service would be better but the server rarely asked if we needed anything and I had to stop him multiple times to get something whether a plate for the appetizers to share or another drink for my kids. The burger I had was overcooked, the steak was under cooked as well drowning in sauce, and the wings were just dry. In a nut shell I won't be eating there again given the inflated prices and just so-so food.

Great food. Amazing meatloaf and mash potatoes. The biggest chicken salad sandwich ever. Great coffee, great drinks, nice attentive staff. Will visit again, soon.

One thing that I noticed was that the servers never seemed to smile as they were walking around so they all looked really mean unless then came up to you directly, I also felt like a lot of them were giving very dirty looks.

We really wanted to like this place but if we had to describe it in one word it would, “meh”. Service was good but the food was just blah. Meatloaf was watery, fried chicken was flavorless, and the biscuits were doughy yet dry. Needless to say we were disappointed with the overall experience and expected more.

The food was wonderful. However, they might have been understaffed. One order came out incorrect, twice. Second time she just ate it as she was hungry. Took so long to get the correction, and kept getting bypassed by the waiter. The Busboy was a big help luckily. Had to send the check back since that was incorrect as well (way too low). First time the service has been this bad.

One of the most disappointing meal experiences I’ve had in a long time. The only positive aspect was the food, but that was overshadowed by the rest of the experience. Server was very poor. Told us they were out of white wine and some cocktail mixers— then we saw the bartender serving others white wine. Ordered fries for the table, only to have them come out a while after the rest of the food. Operations in terms of flow of food was very poor. Appetizers and soup salad were delivered at the same time as the mains so we just had a dump of tons of food at our table. Beer was warm and flat. Server got the bill wrong and then told us he’d “see what he can do” to fix it. How about take it off the bill given it was your mistake, buddy? Given the affiliation of Showroom to Bryan Voltaggio, we were so looking forward to this meal and it was just an awful experience.

Fried chicken not up to standard. Cooked too long so that meat was dry, skin was dry and hard.
Halibut was very good and cooked to perfection.
Affagato presentation not up to par and overpriced.

Great food and service! Value for money was fantastic as the prices are very reasonable. We ordered the cheddar chive biscuits for the table which were really good. The strawberry jam was a nice touch! For our meals, we ordered the waffle and the biscuits and gravy. Both were tasty and plentiful. The banana compote on the waffle was delicious. Would definitely recommend and return!

This experience was a complete fail. The hostess was polite and seated us promptly. That was the highlight of the meal. Our server did not appear for 10 minutes. If he did not write something down he forgot about it. We asked several times about GF preparation and never got a response until the food was served. We ordered several apps and salads. The deviled eggs were very nice - the best part of the meal if you don't mind paying $10 for two eggs. The beet salad decent with fresh arugula. The shrimp was overcooked, bland and spongy. The wings were not as described, just dunked in standard buffalo sauce and served. The accompanying celery had wilted under the heat lamp and was inedible. Our waiter interrupted us multiple times to clear app plates before we finished. He did not offer for us to first taste the wine and did not serve the female diners in our group before the men. The halibut main course was way over-cooked and bland. We had to ask for lemon to season it three times before they brought some out. The scallops were average and the "croutons" were soggy. We skipped dessert. 4 appetizers, 1 salad and 3 main courses with their least expensive bottle of wine. The check was $190 plus tip and the service just plain terrible. If we had not been meeting friends we would have left.

Good food. A little pricey, but that's what to expect for good quality fresh ingredients. I wish the politics of the Voltagio brothers wasn't in the back of my mind when I eat there. I hate to think I am contributing to people that didn't pay their bills. But they were the only ones open for brunch when I was available.

Showroom is a great place with great food and staff. I’m still not sure about the owner— the scuttlebutt is that he engaged in some questionable practices when he shut down Family Meal and opened Showroom. It has basically the same menu- which is nice because I really like the food.
