   Authentic Sicilian food and a very nice little restaurant. Bit of a tight squeeze when seated as a four and the service was stretched. But neither dampened the experience. Excellent quality food, as stated very authentic to Sicily (a native Sicilian being amongst the party), would more than happily go again.

   First visit early on Mothers Day. The breakfast choices were good, and my pancakes with ice cream a treat. Waitress service was friendly and efficient. But the temperature inside the cafe was cold, I needed my coat. Perhaps when busy and full the inside temperature would be acceptable. I will come back in summer to give it another go.

   Disappointing afternoon tea and not as advertised on social media. Quite a few items missing from online photos, videos and descriptions, and swapped with alternatives. The hot items were served luke warm. Tried to charge extra for drinks that are meant to be included. Had to keep asking for things like plates (which came wet from the dishwasher/sink - wiping them with napkin) and milk. Had to pay for the experience in advance, in full, not just a deposit and tries to add 20% tip automatically before hand - not even had the food or service yet. Not the experience we had expected from social media.

   Poor service, could not hear the waitress even though she kept leaning into us and had an 'odd' manner. We didn't get a good vibe for the place. Only ordered a starter which was advertised as hot but when served, within 5mins of ordering, was luke warm and tasteless. the wine was also unpleasant. Very disappointing experience and will not be back.

   Sicilian NQResponded on March 12, 2023You had a arancino Mount Etna to share. What's your problem in getting the arancino 5minutes after ordering? To prepare arancini you need at least 6 hours so we prep in advance and deep fry at the moment and it takes few minutes to cook. Temperature was correct. In Sicily we do not eat boiling food, first of all it is really unhealthy second you cannot taste the ingredients when it is too hot. Wine are imported from famous Sicilian brands appreciated globally. Music was loud you are right.

   I used to love this place and would recommend it to everyone. However this time it was very disappointing and I don’t understand what’s happened. There used to be delicious fresh pasta, but what we got this time was akin to bland microwaved cafeteria food. Even the drinks weren’t as good as they used to be. I wouldn’t recommend this place any more and I’m very sad to have lost one of my favourite places to eat in Manchester.

    Service and wine was fantastic however, the pistachio cake we ordered was cold/frozen. I had the portobello pasta and my friends had the clam gnocchi which were both slightly under seasoned. We also ordered the salmon arancini which didn’t have any salmon? I’m not sure if we were given the wrong order?

    Sicilian NQResponded on March 2, 2023Hello Nadia..sure the pistachio cake is cold..it comes from the fridge. 7 layers of pistachio cream do you think can stay outside the fridge without melting?? Sicily is a very hot island (in summer it's normal to have 40 degree) and traditionally most of our desserts are cold as well our food is often served warm and not hot (or boiling like here) to not loose the right tasty.

    Staff were very helpful and made the experience better than it would have otherwise been. Can't fault the staff at all. Food standards were really poor and it was disappointing to pay a high price for what tasted like a reheated Tesco pasta microwave meal

    Flavourless tomato pasta with a load of halved olives thrown in. Drinks arrived after starters were already finished and service was unfriendly. Packed in so tightly we had to sit sideways on our seats to fit.

    Beautiful restaurant tucked away in the northern quarter. Food was great, service was fantastic food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering and was great value for money would definitely recommend.

    Really like to see small businesses succeed, so I don't like writing negative reviews. On the positive side it was good to see the place very busy, so they are definitely doing something right! However, what I don't understand is why they have a reservation service if they are going to completely disregard it. We booked for 8pm and en route called to explain we would be a few minutes late, to which the girl said "no problem." Upon arrival at 20.05, we'll within the 10 minute grace period as in their terms, we were informed that they had given our table away. After having the table booked well in advance, travel by taxi costing £30, being informed our table would be saved to then arrive for my daughters 20th birthday, I find it completely unacceptable. In addition, the staff, although busy, offered no form of apology or even attention when we were ushered to 3 seats at the bar for a party of 4. Complete discrace. My recommendation is, visit but do not make a reservation as it will in all probability lead to frustration and disappointment.

We have all electrical, drinks/food are sent automatically to kitchen and to bar trough internet and we had internet unstable. We couldn't even access to our booking system for most of the time and updated it. My staff did a mistake and sat somebody else on your table. Really sorry we care a lot of bookings and we try to sit people on time. I'd like to offer my sincere apology for what happened

    Staff were rude apart from the bar lady. Food menu was a lot shorter than it was online - wouldn’t have booked otherwise. Sat us up by the bar - not ideal at all

    Sicilian NQResponded on February 9, 2023We change our menu very often, I can say every 2/3 days maximum according to the availability of the ingredients that comes from Sicily or Italy so we cannot guarantee you will have the menu on the website. This is only an indication of the kind of food we got. This is not the menu of the day. About sitting at the bar it's in clear everywhere in busy nights, couple needs to be sit at bar table. Those tables are exactly the same than the other one, same stools without backrest, space is reduced

    The food is amazing here but the service leaves a lot to be desired. This is my second time here and both times entire courses have been forgotten until the team are told it’s missing!

    Warm greeting as we arrived and seated promptly. We both had the Full Italian Breakfast and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was special day and we had a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate. We chose the mid price bottle and it honestly could not have been more to our taste a very good bottle. Would have tried a dessert had we not been full from the generous breakfast. Seating is a little tight, space wise, but its just cozy. Really good atmosphere quiet good natured buzz about the place. I recommend booking, especially weekends for brunch, as it fills up quickly.

    What a lovely little place. We went in for cocktails and desserts. Firstly the staff were lovely, second the cocktails were fab and the desserts super tasty. The best thing was watching all the delicious food go out and wondering what we would have next time we go! Lovely little place with a great atmosphere and authentic food

    Amazing visit to this restaurant, this was our first trip and I would recommend it to anyone. Fabulous food, amazing service and wonderful ambiance. Always good when there are a table of Italians sat behind us. This is the best genuine Italian food we have found outside of Italy and we will definitely be back.

    This experience was very bad since on January 1 I went with my family to the restaurant, for which at first they accepted the first dishes, for which 5 minutes passed and then there were no things, regarding the wines they were very bad, the menu is very limited due to lack of products, as well as the taste of the food, very bad, I do not recommend and I would not go

You and your family ate everything on the plates. We run out of some dishes, this is true and normal for a small restaurant after a very busy new eve night. The girl who served you, did a mistake and gave you the full menu instead of the reduced one, you got mad and from there you started saying everything was bad but the plate very empty

    Me & my daughter was so looking forward to going to a good Italian restaurant for new years as we had travelled a long way to celebrate the New Year. On arrival staff were friendly and nice altho a couple of them looked very tired which dulled the moment for us. Therefore, we got our drinks and yes we were happy until we tried to order food. The choices we made was then later told they had run out. It was then a case of settle for what they had left in the cupboard!! The table next to us was served frozen food that had not been thawed or cooked!! The excitement of travelling soo far just diminished rapidly. The staff did apologise and discounted what we ate but the fact it was the last day of the year this will be a meal not remembered.

It was the new eve night you come very late and we run out of something. This can be only a good sign because it means food it is fresh and if we run out we run out. That''s our policy and we go with the rest of the dishes. You had still plenty of choice. We are not a multinational company with 30 dishes in the menu or a big restaurant.

    Food was fantastic, service was okay- a little slow but considering the day it was understandable, the room was very warm to the point the window was condensating, and the layout was poor as we were sat at the bar eating our meal as they were over booked. Overall w good experience

On the new eve night people was able to choice if they wanted to sit at the Bar and you booked for Bar. Our place is very small and got only bar stools so anything really change from table to bar table, is very similar. We have only 5 tables for 4 to 5 people, 1 table for more than 5, 1 table for 3. We 6 BarTable for party of 2.

    Unbelievable food, great service. We had Italian afternoon tea, and the amount of food you got for the price was ridiculously good value. We took about half away in takeaway bags.

    Not really impressed. Portobello mushroom pasta was not great at all, the arancini wasn’t terrible. The rest was average. Nothing to write home tbh.

    I’ve been to Sicilian a few times now, and the food is always delicious. Usually the service is great too however this time it wasn’t. The waitresses seemed fairly new and the one that served us was chewing gum with her mouth open the entire time, at one point kissed her teeth, and was just rude. Really let the experience down and they’ve bumped the prices up since the last time I went.

    Sicilian NQResponded on January 11, 2023I'm glad you loved the food:-) We had some temporary new staff during December :-( Prices are higher because everything went up from ingredients, electricity/gas, staff wages, etc. We import a lot directly from Sicily and this is expensive now so we have been obligated to put the prices higher as every other business in the uk a part from the ones they want to go bankrupt in a couple of months. Over Christmas who is not doing expensive fixed menu needs to put a bit higher to offer a la carte
