Our group of four loved everything about Silver. A really good neighborhood restaurant, with friendly and helpful service, and excellent food. Highly recommend the apple beignets!

I. Have eaten here several times, and the food is consistently very good. The under 600 meals in particular are very well done

Silver Diner is a family friendly restaurant. We are frequent diners here. My 2-year old says it’s his favorite restaurant. There are kid friendly meals and healthy food. Plus the outdoor seating is key for nice weather.

We had a fantastic brunch this morning at Silver in Cathedral Commons. The egg white smoked salmon omelet and the veggie omelets were both perfectly cooked, the coffee was piping hot, and best of all our server, Allison, was fabulous. She was attentive, cheerful, and highly efficient. She made the experience wonderful.

We love the Silver Diner on Rockville Pike and go there often but had been disappointed with the Silver Bethesda when it first opened. We found the menu limiting and the prices out of kilter. We were reluctant to try Silver Cathedral Commons for that reason. We are so glad we did because it was excellent in every regard. We loved Allison and from the looks of the happy customers all the staff is great.

We're regulars, and had another good meal and evening at Silver this week. Our server was just the right amount of friendly and attentive, and after learning how enthusiastic one of us is about both the burgers and the milkshakes gave us the flyer to remind us of the Monday special on both. We may become Monday regulars!

Sat outside on the patio. Comfortable seating, great wait staff - very attentive and offered some excellent recommenations. We each had an entree salad with ahi tuna and salmon. Perfectly seared - plentiful enough to take home for another meal!! Avocado toast options delicious. Would definitely go back.

My omelette was flavorful and perfectly cooked. but not so lucky with my husband’s yogurt and fruit parfait. He was quite surprised given the abundance of fresh fruit in July they used frozen blueberries! Squishy and chewy. Their reasoning was because that is what they use in their blueberry pancakes, which is fine for pancakes, but not to serve as fresh fruit!
Why not either leave them out of the parfait or get fresh ones for the fresh fruit offerings only? No excuse for serving frozen fruit in July or any time for that matter!

It was a nice place to bring and elderly neighbor with some mobility and hearing issues. The wait staff was very attentive to her. She could get her “usual “ breakfast treat and was quite pleased.

Excellent food and quality service. Limited draft beer selection but great on wine and cocktails. Excellent healthful choices.

We enjoyed very much our first visit to Silver. I especially appreciated that their menu has a section of entrees that are less than 600 calories. I ordered the salmon from that section, and it was excellent. My husband had the scallops, which were great. We shared a salad that the waiter recommended, and it was plenty large to share. All in all, a great success, and we plan to return.

Nearly perfect experience. My friend and I were seated almost immediately, in a comfortable booth by a window. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Everything on the menu was so tempting it was difficult to decide what to get. We both LOVED our meals. I had the poke bowl and my friend had the salmon quinoa salad. Yum! Really couldn't have been better. And it's close enough for me to walk there! What more could you ask?

Silver was very accommodating when we added three more to our party (total 8) for our Sunday morning breakfast. Coffee was quickly brought to our table along with freshly squeezed oj. The menu satisfied everyone and was perfect before a day of sightseeing with out of town guests - our group had eggs, bacon or turkey sausage, blueberry pancakes, caramel french toast, yogurt parfait and fruit .

We really like Silver. All 6 of us think that they have a great burger - and we all ordered it! I also tried their mac-n-cheese, which was good. Several people in our group order the oreo milkshake (virgin) every time we go there, and they love it. It's a nice restaurant to have in the neighborhood.

I love this place and usually have wonderful service, but this morning during brunch, our waitress spent most of her time on her phone near the register, and talking with coworkers. We had to flag down another employee to help us with simple items. Again, I’m usually a raving fan!

Had a very enjoyable leisurely lunch with a girlfriend. We let the server know we would be taking our time with our meal and he was very respectful and pleasant. The food was delicious - especially the salmon sliders. Never disappointed at Silver.

All the ingredients are sourced from very high quality suppliers and the taste comes out when you eat your dish. The price a little higher than your traditional breakfast/diner location, but the quality and taste of the food as well as the service is more than worth it.

I’m new to the area and this is my Go To place already! Great service, friendly staff and yummy food! The icing on the top...they open the door for all guests, never let your drinks run low, wait staff remember you—Finally! A place that gets it ALL right!

The food was delicious and our waiter, Sean, was excellent. However, we sat outside and another patron was there with a dog who barked incessantly. The occasional bark was tolerable, but it eventually became ridiculous. And, she would move to a bench directly in front of the restaurant with the barking dog. It was a large party and they stayed after they had all finished eating with the dog disturbing other patrons. We’ll always come back because we love the restaurant which is in walking distance.

Service was great and food was decent. My husband loved what he had. Me -- not so much, mainly because my entree was a little too salty. This is a complaint I've had about almost everything I've eaten there -- too heavy handed with the salt.

We've been to Silver several times lately and have run into the same problem--timing of courses. The entrée is served before we're even half done with appetizers. Or one person's entrée or dessert is served, and the other one's arrived much later. Food itself is very good and staff are generally professional.

Service was horrific. The dish recommended by the server-the fried pickle fried chicken sandwich was horrific and could not be eaten. The cole slaw was devoid of seasoning and the chicken - well let’s just say stay away! I think the restaurant only does breakfast well. NOTHING MORE! The young waiter has not been sufficiently trained and should not be allowed to serve again until proper training has taken place. Don’t let your customers request ketchup twice and you still forget to respond and on top of that go to the bathroom come out and ask if anything more is needed and still forget to bring the ketchup.
How do you mess up a Bloody Mary? The drink was so thick you would have thought you were eating tomato purée.

We sat outside on the patio. Dog friendly, can be a little noisy with the traffic, but since we were there early it was ok.

Hostess was bad! Reserved a booth. Walked me passed a booth with a great view to a booth in a dark corner. To make matters worst, the place was half full.

A great place to take my two teenage daughters for a nice but casual night out for an early dinner. The menu worked well for all of us, and the place was happening enough for the girls to not feel like it's an "old person" place. I would definitely opt for Silver again!

It’s a small menu, but the food is good and locally sourced. Some dishes are a bit pricy for what you get. For example, their hanger steak is a $1 more than a hanger steak in a French restaurant on Bethesda Row ($26 vs. $25)! So be aware. Otherwise, good food and ambiance, although parking can be a challenge at the D.C. location.

Went for Mother’s Day. Even with being very busy the service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Had the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The chicken was addicting. I can’t wait to go back to try some of the other menu items that people around us were eating, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to pass up the chicken.
