Great food, service and ambience with fantastic views of the cricket ground
Amazing venue! Amazing food! Amazing staff! Would recommend to anyone! Ps make sure you get the Textures of chocolate!
Fantastic service. Ask the staff to pair wine with your food. Excellent suggestions and very attentive. Oxtail and blue cheese tortellini with paired with the English Pinot Noir from Dover was sensational.
Really nice restaurant, fantastic views with very attentive staff. Food wasn’t horrible but wasn’t the assault on my tastebuds I was hoping for.
First visit, staff very friendly but professional , gave explanation without prompting for delay in food delivery for main course - much appreciated.
Food was delicious , we will definately be returning . Thank you all !
Trent Bridge has been on my husband's bucket list for years. Having a meal there was next best thing to a cricket match. We are fine dining novices so nothing to compare with however really enjoyed it for our first experience. We enjoyed all of our food though the starters were very small portions.
Our only complaint would be the rhubarb parfait was completely solid and inedible. We informed waitress when she collected my unfinished plate and she said she would inform the chef. She then proceeded to discuss it with colleagues in full view of ourselves over by the bar. We felt embarrassed by this and think this should have been done more privately. The head waiter, I presume, then did come and apologize and provided complementary tea, coffee and chocolates.
We enjoyed being able to view the cricket field and the restaurant setting is lovely.
Stunning views over Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.
Service and food was amazing....highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic !
The service was amazing , the food out of this world .
Oh and the views !!
I’ve been wanting to try SIX for a while and I was not disappointed.
We’ll done to all of the team - you’ve got this spot on .
First time I’d been here and really enjoyed the experience. The food was wonderful and the setting very unique making for a well spent and enjoyable evening out. Would recommend completely.
Great setting but let down by service and attention to the little things. Possibly being picky but no water glasses on the table, no bread on arrival, a forgotten round of drinks. Things I would have no issue with in a local pub or restaurant but when you’re pitching for high end dining these things need to be on point. Food was good but not exceptional
Really enjoyed our first visit…
Service was spot on
Staff knowledgeable and friendly
The food was beautiful
And the views!!!
See you again soon Six
Great place to eat, fabulous view!
A outstanding setting, with excellent service, a experience that will be remembered for years.
Excellent setting. Staff are spot on with everything. Really good food - very tasty and just that little bit different that makes it great. It is the perfect place if you want to feel special.
Amazing! Excellent food, interesting wine list with many English wines. Lovely ambiance and views
The meal was lovely and we really enjoyed the setting. The restaurant was accommodating for our large party and we appreciated them making an effort for our birthday celebration.
Great venue, food was absolutely superb, whiskey sours went down a treat as well! Really liked the floor to ceiling glass which gave great views across Nottingham and how the restaurant was split into 3 sections worked well, tables were well spaced which gave enough privacy while dining but you still felt part of the atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.
portions for the cheese and biscuits are very small .
Booked Six for special family occasion. Had a wonderful evening. The food was superb, the service informative but friendly and relaxed. The facilities are all first class and the location is a bonus! Would recommend highly.
The Sunday lunch is an acceptable experience. Although roast potatoes were quite hard. The waiting staff were charming and helpful.
It is an interesting restaurant although I wouldn’t go regularly.
Some of the vegan options were a little cordon bleu in portion size for a Sunday lunch but the quality was exceptional, especially the dessert option, thank you.
Best sourdough I have ever tasted.
Fun cocktail options for aperos and a fabulous bottle of Cahors Malbec made a real occasion of it.
Great place to go for a special occasion. Food was amazing.
We had an excellent meal and thoroughly enjoyed our fist visit to The Sixes.
Such wonderful food and excellent service. Fabulous views of all around Nottingham on a lovely sunny evening.
Altogether as very pleasant experience, service, food quality and ambience all excellent. My only reservation is the very small portions which question value for money.
We had a fantastic meal. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.
Very helpful staff. Food good but could be better. Six offers great potential but something isn’t quite right. I can’t quite put my finger on it. In order to compete with the best in Nottingham then the food and choice needs to be a bit better. I wish them all the best and hope they succeed.
Superb ambiance fantastic service and food of delicate wonderful creations
Turned Sunday lunch into an unforgettable experience
Wonderful venue, food was amazing, so was the wine. Lovely waitress, providing good service, other staff also attentive.
We did have a problem finding the entrance, it would be useful to share this information on the booking confirmation
Such a lovely Sunday lunch, the food was amazing . The service was incredible too! A lunch to remember
Excellent food. First time we have been and we aren’t disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and top quality food.
Outstanding food; carefully crafted and beautiful as well as delicious. Friendly service and a lovely setting. Top marks Six!
Utter shambles start to finish. I have written to Six offering them a right to reply and explain how things went to horribly wrong, no response after a week so I am sharing the experience for others.
Having been met at the gate by a friendly guard he radioed ahead to announce our arrival. When we arrived at the restaurant we were shown to our table that wasn't yet set. As we sat down the table wad made around us, cutlery, plates, napkins. Wasn't sure if this was a 'thing' or not, but having a look around there were other tables already set before guests were seated. Not a good start.
I made some enquiries to the largely disinterested waitress as to the menu, ie what comes with the beef, do I need sides and what are the sides etc. She didn't know as 'they keep changing things'.
Ordered some wine after about 10 minutes the 'wine waiter' ultimately arrived to inform us they had 'run out' and offered an alternative. It wan't chilled so I asked for it to be put on ice, and then . Not sure what the usual practice is with wine and keeping guests' glasses charged, but I am fairly certain it shouldn't be the responsibility of the guest to keep asking for a refill.
Starters were good and delivered well be another waiter. Mains arrived and were delivered by another waitress who attempted to describe the dish, obviously felt stupid doing so and ended up mumbling through as she walked away from the table. I had beef and it was just warm enough to eat, nicely cooked, but warm.
By this time I has voiced some concerns to a member of staff and Aimee came over. Aimee was apologetic about the table not being set, she told us she has been brought in from Alchemilla to sort out the staff/service related issues, I nearly fell of my chair.
We latterly had a visit from Kieran, who was understanding but not overly apologetic, but he kindly offered to not charge for the wine or desert course. We had cheese and biscuits, seriously 3 small slivers of cheese for £12, AVOID.
Amazing food, welcoming staff (including Mark, excellent steward in the car park). Overall a brilliant evening with stupendous views over Nottingham and our beloved Trent Bridge.
Wow - what a treat. From the get go we felt welcomed and relaxed as we dinned with our son's of 8 & 10. Service from Annie was warm, friendly and knowledgable - everything we asked her she knew without having to even think. The food was excellent, really lovely cooking with obvious Michelin aspirations that I'm sure won't be too far away. Stand out dish was the monkfish with squid and curry/champagne sauce! Desserts were beautiful and the cooking on the whole was seasonal and delicious. At the end, Kieran went out of his way to make our young boys feel special, asking them to make a cocktail at our table with him! Needless to say they were thrilled and loved such a great and kind experience. It's difficult to say anything other than wow. I wish more restaurants were like this. Everything right and balanced and the service, often lacking in some way or another, was utterly sublime. Thank you so much - our boys, my wife and I had an amazing time. Bottle of wine, three courses for 4 people and cheese for £300 is great value for cooking and service at such a level. Well done Six. We shall shout about you to everyone we know! xx
Very nice venue and good food
The service was excellent
Bit on the pricey side but the views are worth it
Great service from Jess
Overall a very enjoyable experience
Had an amazing meal as always but
Great setting, we booked as an anniversary treat as we love Trent Bridge and this was our first visit to SIX. The food quality is very good, but given the prices perhaps not as outstanding as we’d hoped. The waiting staff were all really friendly, but seemed inexperienced and that led to a number of issues; had to order wine three times before it arrived, which it eventually did after we’d had our starter course, initially they had brought the wrong wine (actually ordered by another table), then our mains were delivered to another table, which meant that we had to wait for ours to be redone. To be fair, to make up we were offered complimentary petit fours and coffee, which we accepted, but that came before we’d ordered dessert, after dessert would have been preferable (normal). In a fine dining restaurant, when your paying high prices you expect everything to be exceptional quality, unfortunately the lack of attention to detail at SIX, detracted from the experience and left us feeling that we’d not really had the special experience we’d hoped for. Sadly, reluctant to return.
