Diners can enjoy a delicious semi buffet during Lunch from Monday to Friday and Dinner from Sunday to Thursday. A full buffet spread will be Available for Saturday and Sunday lunch and Friday and Saturday dinner.
Food is simple but the ambiance is excellent for a quiet night.
When asked for wine recommendations, the manager sold us a wine on a discount without letting us taste, it was sour and stale and we had to work with what we had, we asked for the Kale Salad and they initially said they have it but then came back saying we are out of it, there were only few guests apart from us and still things were not available!!. The kids meals were ok. The ambience is good and views are great as well, would suggest add more food options.
Great place to dine with wonderful view! Affordable and friendly staff
We had the semi buffet, with choices for salads and soup and desserts, its value for money and less waste so that was good. The mains were good, no issues there. I have one small thing that spoilt the salad for me, the prawns weren't cleaned properly, the black vein was still in and very unpleasant.
Service was brilliant.
Big portions of Yu Sheng! Lamb Shank is a must have! Overall, great!!!
Calamari was a very disappointment because it was hard to chew - like a rubber! My fish and chips was fine, my friend's barramundi was nothing special too. However we both enjoyed our gin & rum.
Concierge did not remind me that members are entitled to 10% discount
At $68++, it's a very steep pricing for a buffet dinner. With the dishes available, you can skip this buffet venue (E.g. No sashimi, sushi, fried kitchen etc), comparable to another venue: Food Capital (Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel) which I thought was bad too. There are better venue elsewhere with the pricing and value-for-money. The saving grace is the ambience and view from the hotel.
Good: Beef rendang, BBQ pork ribs, Lamb rack, coffee, attentiveness of service crews
Bad: Salad selection, cold cut section, dessert
The place is not well decorated - feels like a cafeteria. Food was not impressively delicious. I ordered a crab pizza. The small pieces of crab meat were simply placed on top of the pizza.
first they ahd me for no show, then they missed out on reserving window seat for us - and scrambled at last minute to squeeze us into a car next to the trash/clearing station. not what we expected for a mariott hotel. disappointing.
Very nice ambience for a business lunch...feels like fine dining but with buffet spread of salad, dessert and coffee/tea. Quality of food was good, everything taste so fresh. Outside view surroundings was fantastic. It is a good place to go for a quiet and cozy place to eat. Will highly recommend to business associates to go for business lunch as well as colleagues get-togethers.
Was my second visit but this time round very disappointed with the service.
There's no kind of friendly n welcome spirit upon arrival. Simply just put me next to a big table of 10persons when staff could have the IQ to give me a better sitting. The noise generated by the group was deafening.
Staff also not sure of the given voucher ,take so long to verify n don't seems happy to do the extra work.
Semi buffet needs to improve. Most of the items are sweet. Will be better to have some savory stuff
little selection of food, does not worth the price
Although we are apprehensive after reading the reviews which generally not too positive but still proceed with the reservation.
The dinning experience is good amid limited selections (one main course from Semi buffet menu) over shine by the choice of desserts and variety of greens from the salad bar. Dinning at 22 level is another plus point.
We ordered 4 main courses, all except one is satisfying. The worst was the pasta, totally bland - although it was offered to be changed, we declined as we believe it wouldn’t make much difference and my daughter didn’t want to be disappointed again.
Overall, it was quite a disappointing meal.
Not worth it what you paid for foods.
But environment is neat and clean.
Service stuff forgot our order and we waited more than 30 minutes. We were understanding that Lunch time is busy, but want to request stuff must take attention to customer. Other things were good!!
Nice Gesture of all the staffs to sign a Father's Day card and include a family photo of the lunch taken by their staff.
Seafood was replenished regularly.
Online reservations were made in advanced for a 1 for 1 dinner buffet with card promotion but was told that they were fully redeemed upon arrival. Turns out the dinner buffet was only a mere semi buffet spread with a very limited selection for mains, truly disappointing. Even our table next to us was making complaints about the promotion deal upon making payments. Terms and conditions should have been more specific in future to avoid disappointments.
2nd time round for korean buffet!
Thus time more korean pancakes. The ginseng chick soup was quite nice but the galbi jim needed more stewing as the meat was tougher than my previous visit- meat at the first visit was easily flaked by the fork and the sauce was thick and rich.
The Korean menu was great!
However, there were some inefficiencies with the a la minute dishes e.g . korean pancakes. The production was very slow during the start of the meal.
I am a regular at the place and I do find a wide disparity in the quality of the wait staff in terms of attentiveness and hospitality.
Semi buffet food hopefully will have more or change quarterly the choices. Flavor wise is ok, average.
The buffet was nothing like marketed on the website. We brought our friends thinking there would be a decent variety of food but it was an embarrassment that we even brought them there. Will not return back again and certainly never recommend to friends
Great service, flexible staff and really enjoyed time there. Great view too.
Hidden gem, amazing view, high quality and fresh food
The service was good as they were polite and attentive. My request for a birthday cake to celebrate a friend's birthday was given although earlier notice was not make known. Overall, it was a pleasant experience on the restaurant ambience and food.
Seems like the number of service staff is too lean.
Taste of cooked food from the buffet line is below average from a hotel that of such status. Cooked food from the ala carte order of the buffet was cold to my surprise and there is no consistency of the same food. Really bad.
Selection of cheese and bread was ok. Quality is good. Dessert was ok too.
Overall, very nice restaurant!
Good service and fresh vegetables and all desserts were very delicious.
If I can point one thing, the salad bar which was inside of cooler were difficult to take out.
But surely, I will come back again!
Chicken rice is blend and tasteless.. laksa was not rich and overpriced.
Booking was done through opentable pretty early before the actual dining. Hotel staff call to confirm once and later sms to seek email address to send authorization form but didn't receive any email. SMS the same number a few days before actual day dining but didn't get a respond. Keep receiving email on the reservation and once receive an email on the same day of dining that it was cancelled but I didn't cancel any reservation. Ended up at the restaurant and they mention is due to change of sitting that I receive the email which I felt this should be sorted out backend instead of giving customer a fright that the reservation was cancelled. Would be happy if they could arrange family with young kids to be place at the bench area instead of being in the center of the restaurant which I was allocated during my experience at the restaurant.
Service is simply excellent! This alone is worth patronising!
The weekday lunch was satisfying and the selection of main dishes was enough to impress. The buffet appetizer and dessert were a draw and worth going back for. Service was attentive, thank you!
I was going for thanksgiving brunch, but no turkey, beef, nor ham was served, despite the advertisement for thanksgiving menu. Disappointed from that perspective. So, my survey rating is a bit bias.
Had a nice semi buffet lunch at Sky 22 with my wife . The choice of the main course was adequate and varied, so you have a good choice of meat, seafood or local delight. We had beef cheek and chicken and both courses were excellent. Salad, soup and desserts were nice. Service, which is equally important was really good with friendly staff like Cathy. Have recommended a few friends already to dine there.
The spread was just nice and not too intimidating . Love that everything is cooked on the spot and served piping hot. Good for small gathering away from the Orchard scene. Value for money .
The view is great, food is very good value but the desserts could have been less chilled.
From the ground floor concierge (staff relieving concierge) to restaurant servers and cashiers , service was excellent! My friend requested for a wheelchair and it was provided promptly.
Great view, good for small gathering for dinner as it was quiet. However, staff wasn't very attentive though there wasn't any crowd. Room for improvement.
The semi buffet salat and cakes were ok but the main dishes not much varieties to choose and the beef cheek was tastless.Convert to international buffet might consider.
The restaurant is bright and clean. It is spacious with a very nice view, good for group gathering. Food and service are above average.
Sky22 is rated 3.6 stars by 70 OpenTable diners.
