   Started off questionable, but end up fine. The 2 dishes me and my husband ordered where being taken off of the menu the next day, so we had to make another choice and both were good.

   Really amazing service. We dined during the brunch rush but the entire staff was so polite and attentive!! Drinks and food came out quickly and were delicious. The champagne flight and cotton candy were such a cute touch!

   It’s gone downhill in my opinion, our server was nearly non existent and asked us multiple times if we had ordered after we’d given her our order. Didn’t offer us anything (specials, drinks or desserts, etc.) and it was always someone different that brought our food/drinks. There are much better places in Baton Rouge especially for the price you pay.

   Loved the food, loved the waiter Daniel he was so nice! The Hostesses were very sweet as well! But I can't give this restaurant 5 stars the vibes, ambience, and atmosphere were all off. This is definitely where the preppy rich people in BR eat or at least that's what the owners want you to think. The ambience felt like rich farmhouse b*tch. If that's you go off here queen.

    There to have a birthday brunch with my mother. Reservation was for 2:00pm but wasn’t seated until 3:00pm for a party of 3. We were able to stand at the bar until the table was ready.

    Great food and great service always, just alil loud inside with so many guests inside but, that is out of their control at the restaurant if guests don’t use their inside voice, overall great experience as usual every time I go!! 9.5/10

    An attractive setting and good food with many choices. Kate was our server who answered questions about the menu and she was knowledgeable about preparation. Service was paced nicely and all dines at our table were happy with the experience. Except for the noise level. The music is not in the background since there are many hard surfaces in the place. Lower the music for a more comfortable occasion. We will plan to return to enjoy the Lent menu.

    Love SoLou food. Gave it just four stars for value because of the $17 burger we bought to bring home for our son. Even by today’s inflationary standards that’s a lot for a burger, but it was big. Overall I gave it a 4 because I don’t like the wine selection. But it’s a great place for friends to meet and hangout. Service is superb as is the food.

    Ask for beau! He was amazing and a natural server. SoLou was the perfect restaurant for me and my girlfriend's 1 year anniversary. They were very hospitable at taking care of us as customers and being flexible with changing my table from outside to inside. As well as changing the time I was supposed to be there. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you want a cute spot for a romantic sit down or a chill place for a good meal with friends and family this is it. Prices are fair and food is great. I will definitely be back to this place in the future. The only gripe I'd have is the parking lot is small so if you go at 6-7 it is tricky to find a spot if you have a SUV like me. Otherwise go try this place.

    Shared several appetizers and desserts. It was good! Not great! I thought the shrimp corn dogs would be delicious but they were undercooked. Raw shrimp n the middle. I might give it another try the ambience is very nice!

    We have gone to Solou many times and had great food and a good time. This time we went to go celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was terrible, and my chicken was not cooked all the way through. The service was not bad. All of us had bland food and couldn't wait to leave.

    This was our BEST experience @ our first dinner at SOLOU!!! My husband and I took our 20yo daughter on a valentine’s date last night. She has been to solou with friends & just raved about the drinks-food-atmosphere. It was a perfect night, the service was amazing, the bar staff were friendly & served us promptly as we waited on our table. We were originally to be seated on the patio, I requested a table indoors which they accommodated as our party size changed. Our waiter was outstanding & he catered to us like we were his family. He deserves a bonus!!! He was professional-friendly-always at our table making sure all dishes were satisfactory. This is a young man who has a strong work ethic & a positive personality! The atmosphere was awesome. We give SOLOU 2 “thumbs up” & an A+! Thank you for a memorable valentine’s experience. We will definitely return in the future!     Disappointed in this visit for sure. Made reservations for outdoor seating, when we arrived they said they were not seating outside. 10 minutes later people were seated outside. Ordered Shrimp Corndogs appetizer , they were very undercooked. Cornbread batter was soggy. Ordered lunch Shrimp Tacos, the waitress returned a few minutes later & said no lunch specials were being served but they did have a special pasta dish for the day for $15. We ordered that. Lacked flavor and I only found one piece of chicken in the whole dish, mostly thin sliced sausage. When the bill arrived it was $19 a plate. The waitress said she must have miss understood them. Not worth $15 and definitely not worth $19!

    We went for my friend's intimate 'sprinkle' for her second pregnancy! They brought out a complimentary dessert with 'expecting at SoLou' on it. That was very kind and they went the extra mile to make our brunch even more special.

    We were so cold. The heat was inadequate for the temperature outside. After waiting over 15 minutes in the cold we asked for a waitress to wait on us. Someone came in about 3 minutes. Our food was served. We asked where was our appetizer (crabmeat dip ) and also asked for some pork skins. Our appetizer was served when we were finishing our meal. When it is a damp cold day people outside need to be given priority in getting orders. I was miserable & overall disappointed in the service. Appetizers should be served before the meal.

    Every time I go I place a reservation and every time we have to wait for our table. The wait has been 20-55 minutes long for a table that I reserved weeks in advanced. Noise level is off the charts… have to yell at the server and people at your table. Food was excellent and our server excellent, but that’s where it stops for me. Out of things on the menu, overpriced menu, my husband’s plate came out with like 10 fries… it’s just not worth the trouble to eat there.

    They were out of the first two items I ordered. My wife ordered an entree that was supposed to be served with grits and a vegetable. When questioned, the staff said the dish had been changed although there was no change on the menu or webpage to let the diner know. And, her order came out luke warm. The waitress was trying but it was expensive for the disappointing meals we received.
