I booked the venue for Mother’s Day, we had to wait 55 minutes for the first course to come out, with young children this was frustrating. The room temperature was also too cold - we had to keep our coats on. Others in the room were the same. The food itself was ok, can’t fault the food to be fair but it was over priced for the quality served. The staff were friendly & helpful. The Resturant wasn’t busy at 12pm, we were the only ones there for the first 30/40 minutes. I won’t be booking again.

Our waiter Raffaele was extremely efficient and made our dining experience fantastic. The food was absolute 5 star and so tasty that we decided to do all 3 courses. We will be returning here again most definitely.

We had the best weekend!!! We first tried the food at the bar area and it was amazing!!!!! The best food we have had in a long time. Dinner wasn’t as good more of pub food. Although we did have breakfast and that was also outstanding. The staff was amazing. Couldn’t recommend it anymore

The only thing we had a problem with was nobody came to take away our breakfast plates away.Which was a shame as everything else was lovley the food etc . It would have been nice to have a clean table whilst enjoying our coffees.

Only 3 tables booked for the restaurant on New Year’s Eve, all 3 required the manager/head chef to attend the tables. Whilst it should be noted there was a large party in the main room with over 400 people, however if high quality service could not be provided to all customers, then don’t take the booking. The manager did, to his credit, give us free deserts and a drink each, to rectify the issues which I won’t go into as he sorted them and was really nice, however the waiter would not take a meal off the bill and then got in a mood when I asked for the 10%service to taken off the bill. He screwed up the receipt and threw it at the bar. Then slammed the new receipt on our table. Couldn’t wait to get out, never felt so uncomfortable. Will not be coming back.

Very small selection on the main course menu. They did not have all the food items indicated on the starter menu. Starters and main course were all delivered to the table together by 3 waiters, requiring us to send the main course back. Although there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant, the waiters mysteriously disappeared and it took an exceptionally long time to get the attention of staff for drinks and the main course. Food was unexceptional and we now understand why the place was completely empty at 2pm on a Sunday. We will not be using the place again.

We enjoyed the Jubilee lunch on Wednesday. Good quality food and generous portions. The children loved the pasta and chocolate brownie with ice cream. The face painting, painting pebbles and crown making activities were a big hit with the children. A big thank you to the kind, helpful and thoughtful staff. The staff are your jewels in the crown.

Not sure I want to share how good this was in case we can't get a table again. The service was great. All the staff very friendly personable and attentive. The food was lovely. The special had just come out. We had 2 courses each and 2 large glasses wine for 39.99! Great choice. Lovely setting. Will definitely go again even for Al a carte. I loved that the wine with special menu wasn't just house wine. Choice of at least 5 white or red. Excellent value service and tables. We had a booth for 2!

We booked the Stables for a meal to celebrate my mums 60th whilst on a break in Chester. It took a while to find as Google maps was trying to send us further down the street and coming in the rear entrance of Crown Plaza wasn’t great for signage. Once we were seated however it was an amazing experience, our waitress Diane was extremely friendly chatting to us making our 7 year old daughter feel special by talking to her about her day. The food on offer was amazing with good sized portions, unfortunately the lamb and salted caramel torte wasn’t available however the alternative pork cutlet and sticky toffee pudding were more than an ample replacement, they were divine. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
