Food was excellent, loved sitting outside. An enjoyable evening!
The food was only ok. My bacon was limp and french toast was slightly burnt. Service was incredible slow. It took 2 hours for 5 of us to eat. Coffee wasn't initially available because they were out of cups. Even getting our check took a very long time.
Danielle was an excellent server and the food was great. So great that my mom went back the next day again :) .
Not a bad place to go and hang out and grab a drink and some good food.
It's alright. Not much else to say. The food was okay but a bit overpriced. The drinks were good and you could taste the alcohol. Service was great.
Just ok. Won’t go back. Wouldn’t recommend.
Timmie Metz on Wednesday nights is the best entertainment!!!
All restaurants seem to believe that the nosier they are it means they're more popular. Some I have turned around and left. Fortunately SF hasn't reached that level but with more people inside it could.
It will remain one my "go to" places.
Loved the live music! Sam Teller was a great show. Service was spot on and so were the Food and drinks.
Customer Service, atmosphere, entertainment was great. Food was basic… just ok. Drinks were good. I will return.
Music was awesome, food was outstanding. Service was slow and not consistent. They need to work on service.
Ordered a Caesar salad. The kitchen sent a regular salad with undefined dressing. It was ok but not what I ordered. Ordered crab cake which was good. Curry chicken salad sandwich also good.
45 minute wait for food was really bad
The food was okay, but not worth the money.
They were moving tables and equipment around and making tons of noise. When I complained to the manager he was extremely rude. I said that should be done on off hours - not when you have a restaurant filled with paying customers. He then started to argue with me.
The website makes it look better than it is. Don't your $$$
Great patio area for enjoying dinner and live music.
It was a hot day and I would have preferred to eat outside because of Covid. Perhaps some large scale fans would do the trick.
I was able to make my reservation the day of our visit. Locals told us how amazing the restaurant is. We were pleasantly surprised. Great food, atmosphere and service.
Bridgett was phenomenal! Very kind, attentive and professional. The food was amazing and came out very timely for how busy it was. Highly recommend to all!
This was my first time eating here. Friends and I came for brunch. We wait ones almost an hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive. The place was not busy either. Meanwhile tables that were sat after us had been given their food. When our food did arrive, more than one order was either missing something or wrong. Waitress was apologetic and offered to have us speak to a manager which we did. He apologized. I may try again because it seemed like a nice place and I’ve known other people who have been and had good experiences.
The chicken in the Cobb Salad was dead, dead, dead. Order it grilled; you might have better luck. The homemade Amaretto Raspberry cheese cake was good. Service was fine.
Everything was good (Food, service). However, I do wish they had more selections of entrees & side orders.
This place was recommended. I decided to take my husband here for Father's Day along with our kids. Everything about this place was mediocre at best, would not return and would not recommend. We had reservations so there was no wait, which was nice. The service was okay, we sat inside but the outside service seemed to be running alot quicker than inside.I ordered honey old bay wings which were fried extremely hard and had little to no old bay,the crab cake sandwich which was just okay.
Great Menu! Our server was attentive and loved all the space outside.
Fathers Day dinner (early)
Thanks for a good time
The MD club sandwich could use a signature sauce. The wings were okay and the drinks could be better
We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and it took nearly an hour for a salad and club sandwich. The waiter apologized one time for the delay, but it was very difficult to get anyone’s attention for an update or drink refill. Manager seemed overwhelmed. Would not return or recommend
Thank you State Fare for getting Sunday Brunch so right! Best chicken and waffles I've ever had. That raspberry jalapeno jam is EVERYTHING! And John is thee best server! He kept our grapefruit crushes coming like clockwork. Best way to celebrate my best friend's birthday 🎂🎉🎈🎉🎁You're our new Sunday Brunch Spot! ❤️🥳🔥🎉😁
I had the chicken, egg and cheese biscuit with hot honey and it was very good. I thought the potatoes that came with it could have been crispier. They were kind of soggy and unseasoned but the rest was excellent.
The food was not up to my standards. I ordered a Twisted Turkey sand. The meat was not the freshest and the bacon was uncooked I ended up eating half the sandwich & tossed the bacon. Appetizer was the crab dip and it was good but a bit salty. The best thing was my blueberry crush that was tasty but the presentation was pitiful and the French fries. The waiter was great so if your looking for a good waiter & good French fries I recommend them and a descent drink.
The tent was built for Covid but I hope they can keep it erected. Loved being outside.
Always top notch service. Rob was gentle and patient and always at the ready. The food was quick to arrive and just plain yummy.
First time at State Fare, and I would return. Food was reasonably good but a bit overpriced. Very energetic crowd. A bit too loud at times. Worth a visit, if you haven’t been there before.
Born and raised in Cville. My family getting together for lunch. 7 in total. 2 from Fla, 2 from PA, 2 from Woodbine, one from Cville. We could have went to Catonsville Gourmet, Jennings, but we chose State Fare. From our angry greeter, to wrong order, to the restaurant being in disarray. Very disappointed. $200.00 lunch, we will think twice before coming back.
Great food, good service. Visited with a friend, and would go again.
Food, service and wait time for our reserved table were all great! Had no idea every Friday is band night. Young band with loud and screechy music was not our thing. And we had hoped to have more time to talk. Will know to check on this next time.
The Shrimp and Grits were very good, and I like to way they created additional outdoor space under the tent.
Service slow. My entree was wrong and needed to be sent back. Drinks not refilled. Took an hour to receive lunch. It was obvious there were issues in the kitchen and not enough servers.
Second Sunday in a row to enjoy the State Fare atmosphere. Last week, we ate outside, but yesterday the rain kept us inside. The service was great both times - friendly, willing to retrieve our special requests, and to bring them in a timely manner. The other servers thanked us for coming. There was a waiting line. It's popular. The brunch choices were enjoyable and served hot.
Noise level was beyond “energetic”. They were playing extremely loud dance music at 6:00pm. It was just weird and not pleasant.
