A welcoming contemporary restaurant with a touch of rustic charm, State Street Provisions is today’s answer to the taverns that once offered respite to the fishermen and tradesmen who worked in Boston’s bustling Long Wharf. Historically inspired but forward thinking food and drink menus feature fresh ingredients from near and far, while the comfortable space meets the needs and passing fancies of residents, workers and visitors alike. State Street Provisions is located at the intersection of State Street and Atlantic Avenue on Long Wharf, one of Boston’s most storied landmarks. Breaking ground in 1710, the Wharf was a vibrant hub for the Colonial U.S. shipping industry and originally extended nearly half a mile from the shoreline at Faneuil Hall.

                                                            From the moment we were seated to the end of the meal, we had a great experience! Our server was attentive and very accommodating as we took a bit to order meals. She was very pleasant, offered a second round of drinks as soon as she noted ours were getting low. The oysters were some of the meatiest, briney, cold oysters we've had in a long time. Everyone enjoyed their meals, pizza, lobster roll, Serrano ham wrapped cod. All prepared well and served piping hot. A very nice experience. We will be back.

                                                            Great spot!! Wonderful service, and delicious food. Not overly expensive either. Drinks were so good. Seated right away. Our waiter brought the birthday boys caramel/chocolate pudding for dessert. Great food, great outdoor seating, went around 6pm and wasn’t crowded outside. They have strong heaters as the temperature cools at night, easy to adjust. Would definitely go again.

                                                            A modest menu but the portions were large and the food was excellent a little of something for everyone we sat on the heated patio which had a great feel and made the noise level easy because the street is relatively unbusy at 8 PM I’ll definitely be going there again

We were celebrating my cousin's engagement, and when the restaurant heard, they brought our Prosecco for the newly engaged couple - such a thoughtful touch! Food and drinks were also outstanding. Fresh oysters, Salumi platter, pancakes, pizza, and corned beef hash were all delicious, as were the Bellinis! Would definitely return again.
