Waiter was great but both steaks were trash... drove from Kenilworth nj over a hour away to just throw away 300 plus dollars on my fiance bday . Was better off stopping at ruth chris I swear. Steak wasn't even hot
Jacob our server made the experience amazing. He was attentive and thoughtful.
I’ve had better food at a diner it was also cold. Restaurant has a few floors it’s much nicer to eat inside than the rooftop where we dined. The rooftop was very tacky.
We had such a disappointing time here. We went to this place specifically for the fun atmosphere. We had friends coming into the city and we wanted to show them a fun time. We arrived for our reservation and were told to take the elevator to the 3rd floor. I was disappointed because the 1st floor ambiance was why we came here, but open to perhaps there being another great space on the 3rd floor. Upon arrival upstairs we were seated at a wedding hall looking table for 8 (large, square, two seats on each side) that probably could have fit even more people for our party of 4. This was such an awkward set up for our party and the ambiance of the third floor was nothing compared to downstairs. I asked for a different table and was told there was nothing available. I then asked if we could move to the rooftop and they told me they were full. I signed on to open table and saw a reservation open for 15 mins later on the rooftop and I took it. We then moved up to the rooftop which was beautiful and got a lovely table perfect for the four of us. About 20 minutes into being seated the hostess asked us to get up and move to a different table because she had a large party and needed to combine our table with the one next door (Yes seriously we were already seated and relaxed and they came and asked us to move) We ultimately ended up refusing to move because we were already settled in the table we were in and the other options were not as nice. The food was pretty good, The bone in filet was a standout, the tomahawk was cooked well but very fatty. In general I think this place has gone down significantly since our last visit here and we will probably not come back. For a group of four the bill was about $600+ dollars after tip which again was what we expected, however there are much better options at this price range in New York City.
Ambiance was great, food wasn’t worth the price tag and the timing between bringing out the appetizers and main course was only 5 mins (they make you place the entire order together, otherwise they don’t bring out your apps - which would be fine if they actually waited the time that they should between the two courses). Even though we spent over $600 for our meal they rushed out my husband when I decided to use the restroom as he was still finishing his drink and the waitress stated I’ll give you a to-go cup. (We ordered the last round of drinks before she brought the check out for us). Overall not worth hefty price tags as they’re plenty of great rooftops for the ambiance and good food in NYC
The place was great. The rooftop is beautiful with a great view. Our waitress, Janice, was amazing. She went through the whole menu and recommend us the best choice. We enjoy the porterhouse and the ceviche. Even the dessert was great.
Great food and views!! The stark was perfectly cooked!
The food was okay. Not worth the price. Service was good.
The food was really over priced and poorly done. The sliders had no flavor.
The bread was stale and overall just terrible.
Drinks were watered down and mediocre.
I will not be coming back.
Twosome attending Meatpacking district flower show. Early postpandemic outdoor dining experience. The restaurant and staff were clean and complient. The food was excellent as were all servers and greeters we interacted with. Bravo!
The lady at the check in very rude ,food not great ,cocktail very low quality and after 1 hour and half obliged to leave quickly the restaurant. Ridiculous considering we paid more than 100$ for a low quality steak. Never again!
Extremely over priced and food was below par would never go to this restaurant again
I had an amazing time. The food was very good. My boyfriend filet mignon w/ the STK bold sauce was delicious! I asked for my salmon well done but mine was like medium rare. I sent it back & they fixed the problem & gave me a free side of mashed potato’s. It was a lovely experience. The service was great and the rooftop view was really nice.
It was our anniversary, they tried to accommodate us, the rooftop was very loud, not really outside, we moved inside, the food was good, however, not for the price, we ate at Capital Grille the night before, total was less and we had more food. Not what we expected. Probably wouldn’t return.
everything was perfect. the service was great. the food was great. everything was wonderful
I went for my birthday, gorgeous place, the food was okay but i expected more, apetizers were good except fish food (Not big on calamari or srimp) they should include frozen drinks and margaritas.
Was not the dining experience I excepted. Loud rap music blasting, babies and kids. Bad dining for that price point.
Everything was amazing. All the guests ate every thing on their plates! The oysters are a must & add peppercorn to your steak
Overall a good place. A bit pricey in comparison to the many restaurants in the area. Service was good. Parking was worst than expected .
It was terrible. We kept getting unclean utensils. Intensive that had food/ stains on them
Wouldn’t return here again. Napkins and utensils were dirty. Waitress was inattentive and rude.
The food took forever to come and when it arrived the order was incorrect. The rooftop had one operable umbrella. While they went to correct the order the other items were just sitting there in the heat. I would've never go to this establishment again.
Loved the food and the ambience. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. It was an extremely hot morning but we still had a great time with our two small kids.
Let’s start by stating that seating was horrible for us and the host showed no internet in helping us get proper seating. As a military service member with PTSD I do not like giving my back to doors, hallways, and especially people waking around while I’m sitting. I asked for accommodation and was told that nothing they could due but with several other tables open.
I was always carpets for something I didn’t order and the excuse was “it probably transferred over from a different table” like what!? The food wasn’t that great and the overcharge in sain. Never again!
Had an overall poor experience. I didn’t have a server for 20 minutes and was served food without utensils and water.
Didn’t like that they rushed us to get there and then made us wait for at least 10-15 mins. You also need to ask to sit near the edge to be able to see the view. We were put in the far back. We were outside and it was spacious which was nice.
Steak was really good! I wish they had ice cream in the desserts menu.
The host and hostesses were v we ry hard working, setting a tone for the service. Food and cocktails were great. Food came out very fast. 10 minutes. Had a big steak and a cocktail and I was out in less than an hour.
The food was OK but for the price I thought I’ll be AMAZED!! :/ - the serve was nice but way to slow to take our order - definitely not going there anymore
When we first arrived on the rooftop my cousin and I were sitting in a table directly in the sun, which was an ideal but the staff was gracious enough to move us to a more shaded area to sit and enjoy our food. The brunch was spectacular I had the truffle steak and eggs my cousin had the chicken and waffle. I would definitely recommend this place and attended again. Five stars in my way
Great place to go with a group of friends. This place is all about ambiance! I've personally had better steak, but everything else on the menu is great!
Our experience was amazing.
The steak was excellent but the lobster linguine was only so-so. While the ambience was lovely, the music was so loud that we had to shout just to talk to each other (we were 6 people) even though we were outside! That was exhausting after a while.
It was amazing the food and the drinks were good as well
I’ve been to a few STK locations pre-pandemic and the food at this location wasn’t that great in comparison. The steak, asparagus, etc. tasted like it was pre-cooked and then warmed up. We were disappointed. The ambiance / rooftop is great.
The pictures looked much much nicer than the actual patio. The tables were way too small for a 400$ dual dinner. I think with 350-400$ you can have a much more elevated experience than STK. especially when they are charging $48-150$ for main courses. There are very limited $15-25 options on the menu.
You are definitely paying for the experience of being on the top of a 6 floor roof, not necessarily the quality of the pricey food. We had a 5:45 pm reservation but weren't seated until 6:20 pm. The appetizers were promptly delivered because they had been prepared in advance so not fresh. The main dishes were good and were freshly prepared. They rush the food out to get a high turnover of tables. The service was good but not amazing. For the price, I wouldn't go back.
High prices with fast food service. It was actually a pretty sad experience and made me think maybe all of the severs were very inexperienced or new. Had to ask for everything we needed. Table wasn’t being cleared. Everything was slow to arrive. Ordered 3 steaks and didn’t have steak knives or silverware when the food arrived. Had to wait another five minutes do silverware so food cooled in that time. Parking is terrible. Again, won’t return.
Food was delicious. Limited space and was super cold due to lack of heaters.
