Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.
Very authentic Italian food prepared properly. Reasonably priced. When full the sound level is high.
Reservation at 8:30. Were not seated until 9:20. Finally eating food at 10:00pm. Were ‘out’ of my order by the time I ordered. Service was spotty - waiter seemed overwhelmed by number of tables. We were hosting another couple - embarrassed and disappointed by the whole dining experience.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service outstanding. The only real downside to the experience was the noise level. I left with a headache from straining to hear our guests.
It was lovely!
Great food and ambience but took forever to get seated even though we had a reservation and then took a long time for the waiter to come over to the table.
Very simple dishes but so very delicious! I had the bucatini with neck clams and it was to die for! Jennifer, our server, was so sweet and attentive! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
Fantastic creative and delicious the best way to describe our meal. The service was fun and relaxing and our waiter was very knowledgeable. If you have not been a must ..
Italian Dinner experience to remember! Will be back often !
Great evening! Food was excellent and so was the service
True Italian. Fish was prepared perfectly. Absolutely delicious!! Great, varied menu. Will go again and again.
Female bar tenders attitude seemed edgy. A more friendly approach would be appreciated. Food was good but pricey. The restuarant was extremely loud given the restuarant was full for a 9 p.m. reservation. Overall, would recommend dining at Storico Fresco.
I hate leaving bad reviews but I really can’t recommend for a date night. Might be fun for a more rowdy happy hour and apps type of thing. It was incredibly loud and you basically sit on top of neighboring tables. Our main server was not very attentive and missed a few things but the bus service was good. Pasta was really good (very small portions for price) but app and salad were not great. The artichoke app needs a sauce and the spinach salad was bland. Probably would only do again for the take out/prepared food.
I always get the cacio e pepe and the chianti. Fabulous, the guy who owns this place is from Italy so you know it's going to be good. all the pasta is homemade and you can tell!
it is unbearably loud on the weekend....do not go to have dinner with conversation. Food and service is great. Just pick lunch or pick non-weekend night. They need to figure something out. When you are yelling as if in a club when eating a meal, something is amiss :-)
Very, very good Italian food!!! I’ve been here once before, a few years ago but I think I just had a glass of wine. So glad I came back! This place sparked my memory of going by actually seeing it on the Travel Channel. The pasta was so good and fresh, you can definitely tell it’s homemade. Great selections on the menu. They also have take home items which my husband and I plan to try. We will definitely be back over and over again!!!
Difficult to find! They’re really not on Peachtree St but rather on the side street. They do have valet parking so that’s a big help. The food is very good but it’s also very noisy. Will go back again.
Can't say enough good things! The food was incredible and service as well!
We decide to try out this place for a early New Year’s Eve dinner. A lot of friend rave about the food and the atmosphere. It’s tucked away on a side street in Buckhead . We started off the night with a blotter of wine. Since it was Monday most of their bottle wines were half price. Ever if you don’t drink the bottle it’s easy to cork it and take the rest home. We had the Fried artichokes as a appetizer. They were delicious , flesh and the lemon wedge that comes with them makes the dish.
I had clams and white wine with fresh pasta . I really want to drive by and pick up fresh pasta to take home . I would love to cook it as great as they did . The pasta wasn’t over cooked and mushy. We finish the night off with the hazelnut brownie and the Burnt ricotta pie. Both were great and I would order them again.
I will say the service was one thing that stood out. She was amazing !! You could tell she loved working there . She wanted you to experience the restaurant not just eat there. Love a server that takes the time to talk about the place and the food rather than just asking what you want.
She ended the night by telling us to have a happy new year in Italian. Something she just learned how to say .
Can’t wait to go back again for dinner. Would love to run by and take home some of their prepared foods .
Food was top notch. Service was super weird until after we got our salads. There seemed to be a bit of disappointment that we were not ordering alcohol. Thankfully, that server did not reappear, and the experience improved. Had the cacio e Pepe and my wife had the linguini with pesto and shrimp. Fantastic food, but I don’t see us coming back.
Everything was so so good. Best meatballs in the city.
Perfect spot for a quiet date night. Food and service was great. We got the meatballs as an appetizer. It was enough for two people to share. I got the tagliatelle alla bolegnese for dinner. It was delicious. My husband got the linguine al pesto e gamberi, which he also said was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Service was terrible but food is great.
Posta was overcooked and underseasoned while also being over sauced. Most of the food seemed to be lacking salt.
Bartender made me a great wine recommendations. Would probably give it another shot
Terrible waitress. So rude. Tried to take plates before we were finished eating. Hardly spoke and just threw down plates when they came out.
Where to begin...Second time to this particular place. The first experience was on a Friday night and for the most part it was OK except my veal was very undercooked. Last night we had a 7:30 reservation and weren’t seated until 8:15. Then it took two hour to complete the meal because the service was atrocious. The food was fair, but again they can’t seem to get temperature of meat correct; one of the party had a hangar steak come out well done rather than medium. Couldn’t replace it, because the kitchen was so backed up. Needless to say I will be venturing to other Italian places in the future.
Birthday ... Bravo!
Delicious and service was super. On Saturday night it was very loud.
The food was great, our service was good and their font of house staff were very accommodating and friendly when one couple in our party unexpectedly brought their baby to dinner. They were able to rearrange a little bit to give us some extra room and still keep our reservation time.
LOVE the food. It is worth enduring the extremely loud noise level for the eats!!
Always great food. It was busy tonight but the food took over an hour. Not good.
The server did give us a complementary desert because they were out of cheesecake.
We had a group of 5 and had a table in the front corner off the bar. It is by far the quietest part of the restaurant, great for conversation. Food was fantastic as it always is. Service was great. Love this place.
Love the food and atmosphere
Amazing!!! Best meal I’ve had in years. Great staff. They even wrapped up some fresh pasta for us to take home and make ourselves. Everyone recommended this place, and now we know why!!
Absolutely amazing Cacio e Pepe!
Great food that is authentic Italian! Super service, actually outstanding service. Our waitress Kelsey, did a wonderful job. This will be our "go to" restaurant.
Came in a little after four on a cold wet Saturday and was told to pick a seat. We obviously got there at at shift change so after 10 minutes I got up to ask the bartender for a server. A young lady emerged almost immediately and a wonderful experience ensued. From there on we were treated to a complimentary artichoke appetizer(for having to wait)and then we ordered a veggie plate and a delicious pasta accompanied by a reasonably priced Chianti Classico . The food was awesome and the server was very professional and knowledgeable as well. If you choose to eat at home or need gift for someone you can choose from cheeses, charcuterie, fresh and packaged pastas, olive oils sauces and much more. A must visit if you want a good Italian dining experience.
Delicious Italian food!
Very, very slow service
Little bit Too much noise for my taste -Which was primarily attributable to the music being played as opposed to people talking.Food was excellent. Service was reasonably quick given how busy it was. Overall I would certainly come back
Great service. Great food and wine. It was crowed/very busy Friday night. Relatively small venue with outside seating. Highly recommend and will go back to try more dishes.
Pro tip: when a patron brings a Cabernet and pays a corkage fee, please ask if they would like it decanted to breathe instead of opening it and pouring into glasses. Very unprofessional. Other than that, the food was nice.
