Our experience tonight was wonderful. We haven’t been here since February 2020 due to the pandemic. We were hesitant to return due to some negative reviews. I am glad we went with our past experiences. Everything was on point. We started with drinks, the Knockout, the Passion Fruit Martini, Southern Comfort, and a Beer. The Martinis were yummy! Our appetizers were Cheesesteak egg rolls (which are the best anywhere), Wedge and Caesar Salads. All delicious and nice size portions. For entrees we had Filets, Ribeye, and Strip Streaks. All were cooked to the correct temperatures, nothing needed to be sent back. The mashed potatoes, bread, and cheesecake also were perfect. Our server Shea was very attentive and personable as were the other helpers. All staff wore masks, seating is done so that no tables are next to one another. You will feel very safe dining here. The noise level was noticeably less due to less people which, I must say was a positive. Counting down to our next dinner here!
Excellent food and service. We have dined at Sullivan's many times and will again!
4 of us went tonight to dinner last night. 2 of us showed up early and had a drink in the bar. Ordered a dirty martini and a manhattan. The martini showed up half full (no shaker with ice and extra) and warm. The manhattan came not as I ordered it. I ordered Angles Envy. Apparently they were out of it so made me a Bullet Manhattan without asking. Our guests came and we sat down. Service was good. We ordered 2 Knockout martini's and a Don Julio. The Knockouts came half full and they were out of Don Julio so they gave me Patron instead with out asking again. Just brought it to the table then 5 minutes later, after I had started drinking it, they said hey we were out of DJ so I made you Patron. We ordered a steak salad which was great. A tune which was great. A filet medium rare and a bone in rib eye medium rare. The filet came out raw and had to be sent back. The rib eye came medium at best. Everything not steak related, besides the cocktails, was great. The steaks were sub par. Very disappointed for Sullivan's. With Covid you would think they would be on top of their game. NOT. Very disappointed for a $450 meal.
Steve our server was awesome! We celebrated our 31st anniversary dinner! Thanks for making us feel special.
My moms favorite steak house, we had her memorial service on Saturday and celebrated her life there on Friday night, was as good as every time we went there with her..
The food was amazing!
Bryce was a great waiter and made the whole experience enjoyable
Great food and service. First time back in a while and everything was perfect!
The service was terrible, my food was not prepared as asked, I will not be returning. I use to frequent this restaurant for HH at least 6x a month.
Underwhelmed by the experience. This was one of my favorite restaurants at one time, but with ownership and management changes it is simply not the same experience. Plus, prices posted on certain items are not what is charged on your bill. I will not be returning...too many other good options available.
When someone goes to Sullivan’s they expect premium food preparation and service due to price charged. Everything should be perfect to provide a unique experience.
These are issues we had and overall changes we have noticed:
1. Table was not properly set (all utilizes were in the middle of the table instead of where people sit).
2. First Stella beer was not served in a Stella glass. Volume looked to be less than one beer.
3. Ribeye steak was butterflied and ended up being dry. Who butterflies a $45 steak?
4. Fish was undercooked.
5. One of the Sullivan’s knives was bent at the tip to 90 degrees. Doesn’t anyone check this?
6. What happened to the good looking female servers that Sullivan’s is known for?
7. Attention to detail and cleanliness not where it once was.
Food and service was amazing as usual. Other than being out of stock on several of the bourbons we had a great dining experience.
Sullivan's was amazing, as always. We were seated right away, our hostess was very friendly, and our waitress was wonderful. The food was delicious and perfectly timed. It was a lovely evening away and a great escape from the everyday.
My crab stuffed shrimp arrived cold and the presentation was less than desirable, but the waitstaff was attentive and provided overall good service.
Everything was OK...not as good as some past experiences there! Unbelievable how shoddy some people dress to. One to this restaurant now...tee shirts and jeans!
My husband’s birthday dinner! Horrible! Unfriendly waitress, wine and spirits list had to be obtained from their website- OK I understand this due to Covid restrictions that remain. However my husband wanted a scotch after dinner. They had no listing and waitress came back and made a suggestion. Well no wonder!! When we received the bill we were charged $300 for a 2 ounce pour of scotch!! We felt “ fleeced”.
Not only will we dispute this but we are really disgusted with our experience!!!!
Very good service, waitress responded to my needs, food very good....will come back!
Steak was ordered medium rare and was given medium well. Partially my fault for not saying anything
Steak wasn’t cooked correctly, appetizer was over cooked,
Vegetables were cold
Great date night!
I had NY Strip 😋, my lady had Salmon
Awesome time. 5 ⭐️
I want to say that our server Tamara was excellent. We were there celebrating my husband‘s 50th birthday. First he asked for an orange crush and we were told they were out of orange Vodka and then my husband asked or a Miller light bottle and we were told that you ran out of Miller light. Although the food was good the asparagus was a little too hard to eat and my son‘s mashed potatoes were only lukewarm. There was also a party going on in the private room and we felt very uncomfortable as guests were arriving for this party they were walking through the restaurant without wearing the proper masks. In fact some of them had no masks on at all. Some of them continued to leave the room walk-through the restaurant back out the front door and again weren’t wearing masks. For the price that we paid for the food and the fact that we weren’t overly sold by the quality of the food I would not recommend or return to this restaurant.
Our server Gabrielle made our dining experience at Sullivan’s sensational!
As always, great food, great drinks, great service, nice atmosphere. My favorite place to celebrate in Delaware.
Me and my fiance came for my birthday.
Everything was amazing! Great service and food!
What the what? So disappointed. Glass of wine which maybe with a full pour might have been worth $17.00 and the worst rib eye I have ever had made for an awful experience. Waiter confessed that he works two nights a week which I think is two nights too many. What a waste of $135 for two people. I will never go back.
we were suppose to get a free dinner because of the the very bad experience we had new yrs eve we showed up and received nothing very annoyed
Olivia was our server and she is one heck of a customer service waitress. We arrived at 4:45 and Olivia told us about the happy hour snacks before 5 :pm.Very very accommodating and on the ball.Cannot say enough about the service afforded my wife and I. (The very best).
Definitely not adhering to social distancing. Tables were spaced extremely close together. We will not be returning.
We love going to Sullivan’s and will continue. However, this time the service was a bit slower then normal . Food as usual was excellent, so happy they are back to a full menu
Very good as usual.
After so many years, Sullivan's in Wilmington, Delaware is still one of my favorite places to dine, with great food, service, and ambiance.
Very nice Valentine’s Day experience. The special menu was well crafted. Steaks were awesome and the sides paired nicely. Drinks were terrific. Awesome!!
They food was great and the service was wonderful will go back
We come every year on valentines day. I don’t know if it was due to Covid or not but we were a little disappointed that there were no balloons or decorations for the holiday like they usually have. But you can’t beat the food here, we always have an excellent meal and the service is always so nice.
Very good. Service was good, not great. Very friendly bartenders and good drinks.
I had the spicy shrimp eggrolls, which usually are my favorite. However, that night, they were soggy inside and I did not like them like I usually do. Now I don 't know if I'll ever order them again. Real bad.
I didn’t get what I ordered and it took an extremely long time to even take my drink order to start. I will not return. Thank you, next!
Really enjoyed the “Happy Birthday” sign added to my table to celebrate this special occasion. It’s always the little things that matter.
I normally have a good experience but I’m going to be cautious about going to Sullivan’s again. I ordered the ribeye, medium. The steak was very thin and came out dark red almost to the edges; medium rare at best. I asked them to cook it more and also asked if it could be replaced due to looking so thin (looked like a flank steak). They did replace the steak. However, replacement was just as sad looking and taste wasn’t great for a ribeye. Use your judgement, but if this is the new quality of Sullivan’s, then it’s probably not worth the money.
