About the Menu -
Like Japan, Peru has a millennia-old history. They are two great, ancient civilizations with two major culinary traditions. These traditions complemented one another, and neither of the two sides absorbed the other to the point where one disappeared. SusherÍa menu is the result of this great union and the experience/vision of Mauricio Fraga-Rosenfeld and his dedicated culinary team lead by Peruvian Executive Chef Javier Angeles-Beron.

Service was a little slow but still good food and experience! Delicious pisco cocktail.
The food was mediocre as best. Nice atmosphere but the music was too loud.
Always a great time at Susheria! Loved the pink seaweed and the customer service is outstanding.
The restaurant week menu was incredible. The service and waitstaff went above and beyond. Definitely a great experience!
The service was great from start to finish, yes we belong to that loutish group of Americans who slather their sushi with wasabi and ginger, though we are perfectly aware that you are not supposed to do that, and our desires were graciously accommodated. There are a few items with interesting twists but it's not too crazy and we like that too, sometimes you feel that the kitchen is trying to be inventive just for the heck of it, but here it all made sense.
My only complaint, the tables are really very close together and we felt slightly nervous all evening, one has become used to a bit more distance. That said, we did notice the tables being scrupulously wiped down between guests. I would go again, but probably not until after covid, assuming that ever happens...
Excellent Food. Excellent Location. Excellent vibes.
Excellent!! It’s great good and very good service
Both food and drinks were bad. The sushi is the same as the one sold in Whole Foods but more expensive.
Not coming back
All in all, very good. Outstanding service. Superb meal; amazing drinks. Will be back
I had never eaten Peruvian-Japanese, and this was a lovely first experience! The sushi tasted fresh and delicious (and this is coming from someone who isn't the biggest sushi fan), and the aji de gallina was 100% a can't miss item on the menu! We sat outside, and the outdoor seating area was very cute and actually not very loud, when you consider we were next to the street. We had no trouble hearing each other or peacefully enjoying out meal. Overall a great experience and a pretty solid price for the high quality food and drinks we got! I would recommend this restaurant for anything from a casual dinner to a special date night.
a man tried to lick window while we dined, food a little pricey but good.
Food was fine, the sashimi had good salmon, Escolar and Hamachi, the tuna on the contrary was just OK.
The Ceviche was OK too.
Service was great.
What an incredible experience! We went to celebrate our anniversary, and we were not only able to be seated early but we were greeted with 2 flutes of champagne. Everything we ate was incredible, and our server had the best recommendations. Our server was so attentive and also just hilarious. We’d highly recommend Susheria to anyone - we’ll definitely be back!
Good food, slow service
Horrible meal horrible service
We really enjoyed the music and the food was really good, the only problem is that they spent a lot of time to give us food cause our waitress forgot about us
Absolute favorite sushi spot in DC! Sebastian roll is a must try!
We had absolutely excellent sashimi and Peruvian ceviche. Great place for fish lovers and the Peruvian/Japanese fusion that’s emerged from Lima Peru.
The service was impeccable, which added to the wonderful food we had while enjoying the relaxing space. We will definitely return to explore more of Susheria’s menu. Enzo made sure our overall experience was great. He makes wonderful cocktails.
They were out of some beers and appetizers we wanted to order
Excellent sushi. Fun atmosphere. Only complaint is that it was really loud.
The meal was amazing. Every dish was so yummy and cannot wait to go back. It’s the best sushi in dc hands down.
Omg! The Volcano Roll was magnificent. The drinks could have been a bit better, bit the service, food and atmosphere was superb. Will definitely return!
I had a great dinner with my friend. It’s a very laidback atmosphere with music. The food was good and fresh. Everything I had was delicious. The drinks were also good. I highly recommend the Lychee-Tini. The waiters and hostess staff were all very attentive and friendly. I made a reservation I didn’t have to wait for my table upon arrival. The waitress was soo nice and sweet. I can’t wait to come back and visit.
Just a wonderful experience in all aspects.
Of the five drinks we ordered, only one was correct. The others were terrible, and inconsistent from round to round. Drink service was exceptionally slow, and we got our entrees about 20 minutes apart from each other. I understand some restaurants bring dishes as soon as they are ready, but this went a little too far. Half of our party was finished eating long before the other diners received their meals.
Creepy guy from restaurant hitting on everyone walking by kind of ruined the vibe. Food was okay nothing special. The service was not great our waiter was no where to be found a majority of the time.
Love everything about it. Greta food, great service, great atmosphere and amazing spot. love being right by Georgetown but still out of the way.
It was nice atmosphere. Sometimes a bit loud with the music and people around.
The food and drinks were delicious!
The cocktails were delightful and the sushi was tasty. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Great find in Georgetown.
Best of the best
I had high expectations for susheria given my experience with Latin/Japanese fusion restaurants in Miami.
I was not disappointed! As the reviews mention, the fish was fresh, and the Lomo Saltado sushi roll was on point! A great blend of flavors. I am a big eater and was full after splitting the tuna tataki(so good), a spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and the lomo saltado roll.
The service was great (thank you CJ) and the Latin music was lively and made for great *vibes*. We also ordered a few rounds of the hot house sake. Great all around. I wish they had a brunch! Maybe we just missed It.
Very noise outside. Some of the plates were missing. Waiter never told us kitchen was closing.
This place has terrible service. Our waitress was slow and necessarily sassy. She seemed annoyed when approaching our table. Maybe because we weren't ordering a $500 meal (we were just two people), she deemed us less. That said, we ended up spending over $100 on a simple meal because the prices are very high, especially the cocktails.
The food was good, but not enough to trump the terrible service.
Great dinner with great service. CJ was our waiter!
Restaurant needs to be cleaned... floor was very dirty! Food/ sushi was just OK, not much favor. Would not recommend.
Servicer was not familiar with the drinks and forget our requested sauces.
Overcook calamari. Too much sushi rice and also terrible textured on the rice it was mushy, 125 for 1 round of drinks 2 apps and 2 awful rolls. Way too noisy, will not come back.
