   Everything is fresh and delicious, and the service is prompt and friendly, and the owners friendly and helpful regarding spice level and other questions . The tandoori chicken is very moist and I love the paneer tikka and it is particularly delicious here with lots of veggies. The butter chicken is really good with a mild nutty creamy flavor.

   The food was okay, standard fare, nothing special. The service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Had to ask for water refills, took over an hour to get any kind of food. We were constantly ignored by staff. One member even took my menu and gave it to someone else before taking my order. I was so disappointed.

   This was our first time at Swagat and are glad we tried it out. We were seated right away and drink orders were taken. We were given plenty of time to look over the menu. Our waiter was great, he asked what kind of food we were interested in and the spice level. My wife got a chicken dish that was a little spicy and I got a lamb dish that made my nose run (perfect!!). We also ordered an appetizer, but our waiter recommended the chili chicken. It was a great recommendation. All the food was served hot and fresh. And it was also plentiful as we had to take quite a bit of it home with us. If you are looking for an authentic Indian cuisine restaurant, Swagat should be on you short list of places to try.

   The food was absolutely delicious. We came on a Sunday evening and it was very quiet. The service was great! I still can’t stop thinking about how wonderful my meal was and when I can go back!

    The restaurant was short staffed for Valentine’s Day, but they still made us feel like a priority and made sure we had what we needed. The food was fantastic- best Indian food I have had in a long time. The portion sizes were great too.

    Very quiet only 2 other tables being served, I assume Covid shy still as the food is some of the best Indian I have had in the triangle. The starters came quickly, for our party of four we had a double order of samosa’s , and the cauliflower Manchurian is a home run! We prefer to order several mains and then eat family style Tonight we had chicken tikka masala,lamb vendaloo,daal Bukhara - which is awesome! , aloo Goni, and a tandoori shrimp. The shrimp wasn’t my favorite next time I’ll order a shrimp korma. The flavors are all wonderful. This has become our favorite Indian restaurant. Only complaint is tables are small when you eat family style as we do.

    The food was delicious and prepared happily to our level of spice tolerance. Service was great with very friendly staff who clearly wanted us to have a wonderful experience. The Rosemary naan was amazing. And all of our dishes were so good. Will definitely return.

    Really good, fresh Indian food and attentive, non-intrusive service. We really enjoyed the vegetarian meal for two on Valentine's night, and the leftovers for dinner the next day!

    My wife and I went here for Valentine day mostly because they had availability, we're new here and don't know the restaurants. I'm glad we went. We loved the food and plan to go back next week to bring our kids. Great value, service, and I thought the food was excellent.

    Interesting soundtrack playing in the background however that was the best Indian meal I’ve had in years! Highly recommended!!

    You need to offer something green for the plates, not just rice and a scoop of meat/sauce. It looks so skimpy. What about serving Raita to each table on a bit of lettuce ? Flavor of food good but I only got 4 medium size shrimp in my entree. The pakora were great, as were the potato pancakes.

    The service at this place is terrible! Do not waste your time going here. It’s the most unorganized restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of trying to dine at in my life. I had revs for 7:30 table of 3. After waiting for 20 minutes and being told they were cleaning our table another employee gave the table to a family that came in after us. There were other people complaining that no one had taken their order despite being seated for 20 minutes. I could go in and on.

    The food was really delicious! I spent a lot of time looking at reviews for the best northern Indian cuisine and reasonable drive from Durham, and Swagat was reviewed more highly. The five of us all agreed it was delicious and well worth the extra drive for us. We eat Indian food about monthly - this is our new favorite place with Cholanad being our favorite for southern Indian food.

    Great place for leisurely meal! Food is excellent. Table service is less than most might expect but they let you enjoy your meal without a lot of interruption. Ambiance is very nice-great for date, anniversary, or just a casual night out. Highly recommend.
