This was my first visit to Taberna del Alabardero. I had heard good reviews from friends and our visit did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service and value were very good. I’ll definitely be back as there’s much more on the tapas menu alone I need to try.

Our group lunch was awesome. The food was 5 star and the service was the best I’ve ever had and I have been to a lot of big cities New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston etc. it We had apps & different paellas. All we’re excellent. If we are in Washington DC again we will definitely return.

They did an amazing job. It was our 34th wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it special. Oh, the food was outstanding! The tapas and paella was incredible! Must go place! Will be back!

Had a wonderful time at Taberna with friends! Food and service and ambience are always fantastic. Wine selection was very good! It is a little pricey but especially on Saturday night with the flamenco dancing it is worth it. We will be back!

The restaurant is so gracious! We made last minute plans there when graduation ran late and they were able to seat us at an odd time ( 3:30pm) The wait staff is pleasant and attentive and they served celebratory desert to celebrate the graduates. It is a festive and elegant experience!

With no kids at home any more, my husband suggested we still go out to celebrate Mother's Day and we really enjoyed the brunch. Excellent food and service (though I thought OJ was included in the brunch but it was never offered) and the live guitar music was a lovely addition. This was our first time back to Taberna since before Covid and it did not disappoint. The rose for each mother as she departed was a lovely touch. We look forward to returning again soon.

Food was spectacular. Doesn’t get 5 stars because we had to wait for 30 min to get our table (sat down at 8:30 for 8:00 reservation) with no explanation, apology, or gesture. Service was not as attentive as you’d expect for this type of dining experience. And beware it’s very loud. It’s a fun atmosphere but don’t expect to be able to have much conversation. Still worth for a high quality Spanish dining experience.

Good was really good, music was excellent. Food took long to arrive but the live music and dancing help the time pass quickly and all the staff was extra friendly. This is by no means an inexpensive dinner so I would recommend it for special occasions

This was a real “experience,” not just a dinner. The Spanish music and dancer transported us back to Spain. The bronzino a la sal, filetted tableside and served with a delicious sauce, was a special treat.

The food was very good as always. The service has really deteriorated. They brought the last ‘tapa’ (appetizer) at the same time with the main course. There were not enough waiters.
