                                                                4yrs ago we stayed at the Fairmont and the 2week was perfect. The team, room (beachfront suite) and restaurants were great and we ate at Taboras almost every lunch with nothing but praise for it. This time we stayed elsewhere but visited Fairmont for lunch as we missed the place but the experience was a different hotel?! Cocktails before food took one hour and no apology for delay. Then the gazpacho came and was not gazpacho but tinned tomato puree that tasted identical to hunts tinned tomato. Kids pizza was poor and the salmon main courses were underwhelming. Out server vanished halfway through lunch on an apparent emergency but watching her leave she seemed very relaxed getting her stuff together and slowly walking away from restaurant. Perhaps after we told someone else the gazpacho was no good it was still on the table 30 mins later. I’ll email the current GM which is different to the one 4yrs ago so this one has some work to do!

                                                                First waitress seemed like she was having a bad day, and didn't want us to be there, once we got passed her the rest of the service was great, food pretty good. Nothing amazing tho.

                                                                We were expecting a la carte rather than a buffet. Although the food was good, the dessert choices were very limited, with a crumble that was almost tooth cracking and a mousse that was delicious, but thats it; 2 choices. Tables were too large for that intimate feel. Capped with a bill of US$235, I didn't think it was worth it.

                                                                Easily the worst dinner i have ever had in barbados and it was expensive too. It was a complete disappointment. Not even the dessert was good.

                                                                Haven’t had service this slow in years. A long time.W waited 30 minutes, just to get a drink, and it took about an hour to get an appetizer. My wife ordered the spring roll with chicken and stirfry and vegetables in it, and there was almost no vegetables .

                                                                A perfect place for a perfect date. Service was excellent. We had a live band during diner. Food was excellent with a good portion. Glasses were filled up as soon as they were emptied. Nothing more to say than 10/10 for us.

                                                                The setting on the beachfront is stunning. Poor welcome, the hostess lost interest half way through seating us when somebody she knew arrived. Seated in the corner (we are also hotel guests), with staff and guess needing to brush by. Waitress did not know what fish of the day was. The food was average but not at five star hotel dining level. Entertainer on a stage quite remote from the restaurant, with no audience did her best to entertain diners in difficult circumstances. A manager did ask about her experience, and to her credit listened intently and said she would pass on our feedback. Would not return.
