    Improvement since the last time we were there. Food is always outstanding and reasonable for downtown Denver. Close to the DCPA so a convenient option if attending an event there.

    Their skirt steak is a best seller for good reason. Our server had to wait on a table of, like 20, but remained attentive to us as well.

    Great service on a Sunday night. Guacamole and salsa were fresh and yummy to start. Best dishes on the table were the perfectly made steak fajitas and the dessert banana empanadas. Mocktails also great for those who prefer nonalcoholic choices.

    We came for a pre-DCPA matinee lunch. The kids eat whatever they want for $12!! This I an absolute deal for 4 kids and some picky eaters...all of whom left full. The adults had a great time too. We actually had our server order for us - and everything she suggested was delish. The egg scramble and the chilaquiles were the most interesting and great suggestions from our server. Will definitely return.

    Delicious dinner with great friends. Our waitress was awesome as our friends were a bit late due to traffic. Guacamole is always the best!! Hubby loved the shrimp enchiladas and I had the Mexican chop salad. Delicious colorful and full of flavor! Tamayo is our favorite pre-show dinner place !! Always a hit !!

    Amazing food and amazing service! Our only issue was that we were sat next to a huge party of people and we could barely hear anyone from our party of 3 talking to each other. A table in a different part of the restaurant would have made the experience perfect

    Ingrid our server was great; very friendly and accommodating and willing to visit a little. The flank steak entree was excellent. Portions are large. The coin specialty margarita was a little weak on alcohol for the price. I had a reservation. On arrival I asked for a booth for my party of two and the host said they were reserved for larger parties then proceeded to fill the empty booths with parties of two. 11/8/23 5:45PM. Young man with short brown hair. Salt and pepper shakers for the table would be nice.

    This is our favorite brunch spot when I come into town. The whole staff is so amazing and so nice. They accepted our reservation even when we were 18 minutes late. The service and the value for brunch is unbeatable. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.

    We love Tamayo because of the food, service, location, and easy parking. It's a great place to go when you are doing other activities downtown, like going to a game at Ball Arena. We are vegetarians and they have enough options to make it worthwhile--and what they do have is excellent and interesting.

    Sat brunch before DCPA performance. Small plates shared at the table. Opted for endless food - not endless drinks. Took them forever to make two cappuccinos - even tho it was brunch. All the savory options we chose were excellent EXCEPT the bacon. It was like salt sticks overcooked and powdery to the palate. Seriously, Tamayo - one of the most unctuous things to have at breakfast and versatile prep options - like baked with a little brown sugar and ancho powder until almost crisp. As for the only sweet option which was supposed to be a tres leche cake - instead it was a pie shaped wedge of some kind of dense doughy, cold, like apple cake thingy that you couldn’t cut through with a fork. Very loud. Had reservations - but they sat us at the table right by the front door on a 23degree, snowy day. After sitting in a car for an hour and walking from DCPA - I was like a popsicle. I asked to be moved but was refused - then my husband insisted and voila - they moved us. Used to be a fav place to eat. I would not go brunch again.

    Lunch on Saturday-Sunday is brunch only. I don’t know if there was a different menu from the usual fare or not. Portions were small and a la carte. Taste was average. Restaurant is very noisy. Can’t imagine what it’s like during dinner.

    What a disappointment our brunch was. We had not dined at Tamayo for several years and were looking forward to our meal as it was a favorite in the past. The food was very good, but the experience overall was just okay. It was very loud and the service was inattentive and sporadic. In fairness, it was very busy with football fans dining before heading to Mile High. But, we're not sure we will return any time soon to Tamayo.

    Our first return visit with friends in sometime but landed there after seeing TINA at DCPA, which was absolute highlight performance. The program listed a free margarita with ticket stubs, so sitting in the outdoor area, we opted to test them out. Why bother! Clearly, not a teaser to experiment further. The entrees were excellent except the guacamole side order would have been far better with some real avocado included. Green sour cream doesn’t pass muster. We had two different tacos from the menu that were three to the plate, both excellent. Our friends totally enjoyed the fajitas. The veteran server working with a trainee were timely, but not intrusive. We enjoyed the beautiful evening in LoDo, but a mixed experience for the pricing.

    Very good Mexican food and value. Service was prompt at first and we were not ready to immediately order (met another couple after we had arrived). Said I’ll come back in five, turned out to ne fifty and we had the water boy get our server. Only complaint of the evening.
