Just went for a small meal and some drinks but it was Geary. The chicken Roma was so fresh and hot!!
Food was good and reasonably priced. Drinks were strong, which is always a plus. Greatly appreciate that the restaurant has invested in treated air, but was a little put off by them seating everyone in the same area next to each other even though there were plenty of open tables to space people out.
I love Tavern 52. They have great food and service. I am especially fond of the Wedge Salad with blue cheese crumbles and dressing. On one visit to the restaurant, I lost an earring. I called and asked if they had found it. They not only found it but the staff repaired the loosened link before they gave it back to me. They are really nice people and I hope they do well after the COVID restrictions have been lifted. They installed a special air purifier to ensure that customers are breathing clean air!
Great food. Service was a little slow but was not a big deal
Great food, varied menu, friendly staff
Highly recommend for a relaxed meal
We arrived for our 6:30 reservation 5 minutes early and waited at the hostess stand - while 3 people (servers?) walked by us and didn’t acknowledge we were standing - finally 2 of the 3 said they would be right with us - we were taken to our table ordered drinks, finished the drinks after 40 minutes and no one came back to take our order so we inquired and he said the drinks were on him and apologized- food was very good - I realized during a pandemic you could have trouble knowing how to staff for a particular night but this seems to be our experience each time we have gone here and before the pandemic - hopefully things will improve
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Very easy to get to and parking great - definitely give it a try you will be happy you did!
As always, we had a great meal at Tavern 52. It was nice and hot and served promptly.
Great food! Super nice restaurant, super friendly waiter. Had NFL games playing great experience! Will return!
Great food, big portions
Great food, service and very creative on how they social distanced
We had a good experience, not great, but given the current climate, I’d go back and give them another chance.
I would highly recommend the Tavern 52! The food was outstanding, our server Toni, was amazing, and the owner was incredible! A friend and I went recently on a Saturday for lunch.
One of the entrees I tried was the littleneck clams. They were the best I've ever had! I even got a takeout container to take home my left over clam sauce, it was that good! I also had the lobster salad, which was so delicious!!!! I also tried the parmesan and garlic wings, I love them!!! I cannot say one bad thing! They have outdoor and indoor seating. Precautions are followed and everyone is socially distanced appropriately. The new owner has done a fabulous job! If you haven't tried it yet, I would highly recommend adding it to your list!!! You will not be disappointed.
I had the burger it was at least 10 ounces I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium rare best ever wife had lobster salad sandwich she loved it can’t wait to try the rest of the menu
Nice sports bar/diner. Recommended.
We love Tavern 52 - everything about the place is nice. It's also very close to our house so doing the quick pop-in is always fun.
BTW: Love their pizza.
Great food and service. The calzone and stromboli were especially tasty!
My husband's order came out with wrong pasta. Outdoor dining was a bit noisy.
Great food and excellent service. No clue why it isn’t packed! But, makes for a wonderful quiet, relaxing meal.
First time we’ve ever been there. There was music and we came late(8:30) so not many people there eating. The food was good and a lot of food for cost. It was nice to not have many there but I was surprised because the food was all good. The staff was all great.
This is a nice neighborhood tavern with lots of comfortable booths for dining.
Enjoyed! Small family dinner and food was great. Liz our waitress served us quickly. She was kind enough to reseat us after the first table was a little chilly near a door.
Tavern 52 is definitely a gem of a find. The outstanding service of our waitress, Gina alone was worth the trip. With computers down she did an outstanding job keeping up with service. We had a table of 6 and all enjoyed their meals and drinks. I enjoyed the value of the experience with fair prices, great food, but most of all, fantastic service. Thank you Gina for making our first visit definitely not our last!
This restaurant is okay. You can tell it’s a neighborhood hang out and the food definitely caters to the older palette. Everything needed salt. I had read great reviews and was excited to try it but was not anything special and I probably wouldn’t go back. One thing I did love was the Christmas decor.
We were there on a Saturday night, the food was amazing and there was live music! It was so fun and the food was amazing!
This was a first visit for both my guest and me. (Lunch, 10/31)
It was great to discover a new favorite place! Our server ( a lady...sorry..can't recall her name) was attentive and made the entire experience pleasant. I'm looking forward to returning with family and friends to try dinner and brunch! It was also quiet( minimal music) which was a plus for both talking and for my friend's hearing impairment.
All the food we had was excellent. We had cocktails, the calamari steak appetizer, spinach ravioli and meatballs, steamed clams, mushroom soup, and crab cakes. Everyone enjoyed what they ate. More casual than I expected, which was good. Service was welcoming, friendly, and accurate.
The owner, Charlie, and his wife are always so inviting! They make everything (or almost everything) from scratch. This place is really a gem and we sure hope that everyone will take our word for it and keep this family owned business alive!
The lobster roll is great, Italian sub is amazing, long hots are out of this world, homemade meatballs are great, wings are crispy, and they can make any drink that you would like. Really , the list goes on and on!
