Taverna is a warm and inviting neighborhood restaurant that offers a truly Italian experience without having to leave Texas. Our Italian chefs strive to create the perfect menu using seasonal ingredients for their surprising entrees; every day we present a variety of northern Italian delights from simple comforts such as pan seared sea bass to delicate pasta and fabulous risotto.

Risotto is indeed our flagship dish. We only use Carnaroli rice – the “king of the rice”; thanks to its particular characteristics and firm texture the Carnaroli grain maintains its shape during the slow cooking required for a perfect and creamy risotto. Our broad offering includes truffle oil and Parmigiano risotto, bay scallops with home made pesto and an inspired Vin Santo risotto with asparagus and prosciutto.

Great food, excellent service and nice patio seating. I highly recommend this restaurant. We were seated next to a very loud and boisterous group who had too much to drink, so it wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been. Overall, it’s a great place to have lunch/dinner and people watch. It was 90 degrees outside, but the patio area was cool because you can feel the AC from the inside. I plan on returning.

Went for Mother’s Day and my mom and I sat at the bar, we like to do that. Had a great bartender she said she had only been there like two weeks and you never would have known she was so sweet to us and very attentive. We had the calamari and it was good. It would have been nice to have more veggies and maybe some peppers like pepperonis, that’s what I am used to from other restaurants with calamari I love. Other than that no complaints here. We also had my bday to celebrate so they offered us tiramisu which was nice but it was maybe a bday portion which was a bite or two. I would never look a gift horse in the mouth and appreciated the sentiment but I’ve been to a few places for my 50th bday and it is normally a full sized dessert, my mom didn’t want to even take a bite cause it was so small I of course said she had to. I’ve always said that Not taking a bite out of bday cake is a bad luck. So great experience but that was a little funny. We were full from the calamari and drinks. We were going to get a pizza but between the calamari and focaccia we were full. And you know then the bite (literally) of tiramisu which was ok cause I don’t love tiramisu and that explains why they said no when I asked if I could get a different dessert. Again y’all have a great staff and your new bartender, both of the Bartenders, so nice.

They were very busy so some of the points I reduced ratings for may have been due to that. Otherwise it was a very good choice. The food was delicious, especially the polpo. The service was good. The prices were on the high side, but not unusual.

The service was outstanding; our sever Gabriel, was attentive and made great recommendations. The branzino was delicious and the calamari and shrimp appetizer was enjoyed by all. The gnocchi was very soft and tasty! Don’t miss the blood orange margarita either!

This place is simply amazing. The staff was great, and very engaging. I was pleased with how my husband and I was taking care of. The food and drinks were great. I tried the California pizza, zucchini chips and summer in Venice, chopped salad…. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to return and try other things.

We had a great evening at Taverna. We chose Beef Carpaccio as our appetizer and it was a great choice. The waiter had good knowledge of the menu and he made great suggestions. It was my friend’s birthday and they also gave us a complementary dessert with candles with was very sweet. Highly recommend this place!

The food was awesome and the service was outstanding. Just be aware if you want that pasta that they bring out the cheese wheel for they don’t do the presentation anymore because of an accident that happened a while back. At least that’s what Service said but other than that amazing food and quality service.

5 star service AND food! The mussels, The bolognese, the lasagna and the ravioli are what we ordered and everything was delicious! Even though the restaurant was busy, our server Samantha was excellent and attentive! We ordered a bottle of Moët which they were out of and the manager Jonathan literally walked outside of the restaurant to find a bottle of Moët for us!!!! I have never experienced service like that before! This is our new favorite Italian restaurant!!!

Wonderful dinner. We got the Taverna focaccia as an appetizer and it was so delicious. Drinks and entrees were wonderful as well. Love their patio dining, it’s so beautiful. Service and the management were perfect. It was a treat to meet Giani and Pepe!

It was a typical Saturday night at Legacy West, very crowded, and it was Prom night for one of the high schools. We had a reservation at Taverna, and our table was ready right at the booked time of the reservation. We were seated at the perfect table on the outskirts of the indoor tables. It was just far enough outside, but not right where people were walking through the shopping center. The food was delicious and our server, Alexa, was very good. It was a really enjoyable evening!

All restaurants at Legacy West are good. What sets each place apart is their customer service. I have been to Taverna a few times. For most of the times, the service has been good. Although my last visit left me with a distaste in my mouth due to rude service starting with the hostess to our server. I gave it one more try. This time, the hostess was very friendly and not on her phone and our server, Sam was very attentive. She was busy with several tables but her willingness to try her best showed. We enjoyed our food and the service we received. Hopefully, if we go back, we can continue to have the service Sam has portrayed this past Saturday.

We got 5 different items. Risotto, lasagna, Alfredo, a shrimp dish, and chicken rotisserie . We were not impressed. We didn’t finish the food, it wasn’t worth the calories. We ended up eating somewhere else.
