Taverna is a warm and inviting neighborhood restaurant that offers a truly Italian experience without having to leave Texas. Our Italian chefs strive to create the perfect menu using seasonal ingredients for their surprising entrees; every day we present a variety of northern Italian delights from simple comforts such as pan seared sea bass to delicate pasta and fabulous risotto.

Risotto is indeed our flagship dish. We only use Carnaroli rice – the “king of the rice”; thanks to its particular characteristics and firm texture the Carnaroli grain maintains its shape during the slow cooking required for a perfect and creamy risotto. Our broad offering includes truffle oil and Parmigiano risotto, bay scallops with home made pesto and an inspired Vin Santo risotto with asparagus and prosciutto.

Waiter was extremely rude did not want to explain anything about cocktails or pastas. Either he didn’t know. I wanted pasta with little sauce almost dry like in Italy. He recommended one filled with red. Sauce. Was in such a hurry to rush us out horrible experience

As always, our experience at Taverna was exceptional. The food and service were wonderful. It's a bustling, noisy atmosphere, so not the place for a quiet dinner. My only negative comment was that, when making our reservation, we indicated it was my birthday (and a special one at that). In the past, there has been an offer of dessert or other acknowledgement. This time, nothing. Not even a Happy Birthday wish from our server. As I had specifically picked the restaurant as a special birthday treat, it was a bit disappointing.

For my first experience here. I was very pleased. The food and the service were top notch. Our server (Chris) was exceptional, being the it was Mothers Day the place was really busy but Chris was very attentive and made sure to see to it that we were taken care of. We will for sure be back

We used to love this restaurant but very dissapointed yesterday for mothers day. Service was slow, drinks and food took a long time. Quality was ok, averaged for the price. Also, we were seated next to a condense unit .

This was our second time to Taverna. We sat in the patio and the weather was perfect. Service was excellent. Millie was our waitress and she was friendly and attentive to detail. We ordered the mushroom truffle risotto with side of salmon cooked to perfection. The Gnocchi ans short ribs also out of this world amazing. The cocktails were awesome and we were too full to try dessert! Johnny the jovial Italian manager checked on us as well. Highly recommend Taverna! We’ll be back next week with family from out of town!

I wasn’t too happy with my entree, but they did work with me and tried it make it more suitable to my taste. They were even willing to bring something else, but I don’t like to waste food so I was ok with it. Servers and manager were very nice. Our spot in the patio was kind of cramped as if that table for two had just been put in the way. I like the inside much better

Met a buddy for an early dinner. We each had a glass of wine to wet our appetite. Irina, our server, was exceptional. I had the Cotoletta Di Pollo Alla Milanese. It was fabulous. My buddy has Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare. He loved it. Very pleasant sitting on the patio before the restaurant got really busy for dinner. Highly recommend!

Solid experience. Great food. Only nit was ordering meatballs as a main (instead of a starter to share) which came cold (maybe sitting while the other starters were enjoyed?). And the bread that came with it was too hard to enjoy. The other 4 in our party had great food, except there ought to be a gluten free mashed potato option with the filet. Server was fantastic.

No idea why they are pumping sports bar music in there at full volume, but everyone is having to shout to talk with their table. So a room full of shouting and club beats is a pretty stressful experience. We were not expecting that at all. The food was delicious but we were just trying to finish and leave. Lower level music would be a game changer for them.

Very nice place - excellent food. Only negative was the seating. We had requested outdoor seating and ended up in an ally like area. Lots of foot traffic and kids running around unsupervised. Nice night but the ally and noise did take away from the experience.
