TGI FRIDAYS - Gainesville
Unfortunately sometimes there are off nights. The food was great but the service was incredibly slow and disconnected from the host to the server.
The half-price special on certain bottles of wine was especially beneficial to us.
I went there for my birthday and the experience was great . I felt like a queen on my special day.
Slow good time
They didn’t care at all that I had a reservation on this app. Had to wait 1.5 hrs to get seated after reserved time. Food was quick, but underwhelming. Service was great, no complains about service. But food and time was really really bad.
As my experience, it was great, food and service was very good, I will be back
Hard to find a restaurant to satisfy a vegan, a pescatarian, and a meat eater. Your place accomplished this in a major way. My husband and I had never been here before, but my son, the vegan, assure me, the pescatarian, that I would love it. He was 100% correct. The Beyond Meat Cheeseburger and Sweet Potato Fries were the best I have eaten. I wished I could have eaten a second cheeseburger, but it was so big, there was no way. Thanks for such a great meal!
Filets were not tender - chewy - and one had to be returned. Very nice server - Kadeen.
Order was wrong and cold. Redid and was ok. Mgr did no extra.
The food was terrible. We were seated next to the kitchen, which was very noisy. I can't help but say again, the food was terrible.
Does not honor reservations. Don't bother.
Had a large party for UF graduation and the server was outstanding. Had to wait for a table for about 30 mins but with a party of 13 that is to be expected. While waiting we enjoyed drinks from the bar. All in all the experience was a good one and will definitely be visiting again.
Food was fine but we where quite confused regarding the 2 for 14.99. Our server seemed confused about when to appear with the birthday sundae, coming in while we where still eating our dinner. Additionally, one of our meals arrived well after everyone had been served and it appeared that someone did not get our complete order correct and the manager had to intervene to get things correct.
There was no table ready. This rendered this reservation service useless. We went nextdoor to eat and they got us in .
Celebrating the UF win over LSU
Friday's did not honor our reservation. I had reserved a table for 18. I called 3 times and spoke to managers to make sure they would have our table. They told me they would have a table for 12 and a table right next to it for 6. When we got there (exactly on time) the manager said we had to sit at 4 tables not even close to each other and they do not hold tables. We had to find another place at the last minute who wanted our money and could accommodate our party.
It Was Wonderful
Was in town for my daughter’s graduation and initially was disappointed that I could not get a reservation at one of the “finer restaurants” in town. So glad we went to TGI Fridays, because we had a terrific experience. We had a larger group (including a service dog) and the entire staff was great in accommodating us. The GM (female) and Beverage Manager (male) were very helpful, but I don’t recall their names. We sat outside and the ambiance was really nice with great view of TV’s to watch the Kentucky Derby and Gator Baseball. Food and service were great. I believe our server was Melanie. New location. Will be back on next visit.
All good. Always a stop when in the area
Absolutely awful experience. First, I made a reservation for a reason. I showed up on time with over half of my party in tow. We checked in and waited for 20 minutes to find out that our table had been given away because "We thought you weren't coming because of all the people." What the hell kind of excuse is that? Then we had to wait another 10 - 15 minutes after that for them to get our table cleared and ready. So, I made a reservation, and still ended up waiting for half an hour. Second, the bartender made a Crown on the rocks with coke or soda or something. It's literally just liquor on ice. Our service was slow, and our food was subpar. Getting refills of anything took 20 minutes. On top of this, we were never checked on by a manager in spite of their error. We will not be back to this location.
Depending on who the hostess is that night, they may either accept your reservation or simply say they aren’t taking reservations that night, although you won’t be notified of this until you arrive.
The waiter was had very good customer service skills. She made sure everything was correct.
I sent in the reservation several days ahead of time. When we arrived the hostess was not happy because no one had told her we had a party of 11. We arrived at 11:15 as planned and had to wait for a section to be set up for my party. Most of the people including myself are short so sitting on stools and the bench seat was very uncomfortable.
It took over 40 minutes to have our food served and there were numerous empty tables so, it is not because it was busy!
Our food came out cold after over 30 minute wait and there were a bunch of open tables so I know they were not that busy
This was a much better meal than I was expecting. The Bourbon Salmon and sides were delicious! My only complaint (and my 20-somethings said this too) is that it is very noisy.
Food is incredibly lackluster. Had the pretzels and beer cheese but the cheese was cold. The chicken and cheese dish was way overcooked and had no flavor. The cheese was just slices of american cheese from plastic wrap. Even the server admitted it was a lazy dish. However the lemon broccoli was very delicious. Overall yhe store is brand new, new logo, new branding. This is a good opportunity for the store to change is bad reputation, but they just serve the same bland food. Waste of my time.
