This was my second time visiting the restaurant. The space is beautiful and the service is excellent. The ambience is nice, but perhaps the room and energy were a little too quiet for my taste. I did like that they play interesting music though. While I found the food to be very good both times, I didn't find it overly memorable or anything that I would have a need to rush back for. We had the venison tartare appetizer along with the rolls, both were very good. Had 2 pastas--one with rabbit and the other with crab. Both were interesting and tasty. Also ordered the tri-tip and the chicken. These 2 entrees were both fine, but wasn't blown away by either. Again, this is a very good to great restaurant, but at this particular price point there are a lot of options for the money.
Can’t wait to go back
Must try the oyster pie, its amazing, the fois gras could be a dessert it was so good.
One of the top restaurants in Chicago. The food was delicious, creative, but not too complicated. The service was professional and cordial. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you.
One of the best restaurants in Chicago.
We went to Bellemore for our wedding anniversary and had such great night! The service was outstanding, food and flavors were delicious and we got many surprises from the staff, complimentary appetizers, anniversary card, cake and some sweet treats. Thank you so much to everyone who made our night so special!
Amazing food, attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff. This place has it all. Five stars!
Our experience was beyond exceptional! In a city full of great restaurants- Bellemore went so far above and beyond with their service. Hospitality at its finest! And the food was magnificent. The perfect place to celebrate a special moment! Wow. Can’t wait to go back!
Bellemore is easily one of the most elegant restaurants in the city. Perfect for that high level business lunch in a quiet dining room or a fancier night out (or both on the same day, depending on your schedule). Chef Jimmy Papadapolous' dishes are meticulously crafted, balanced in flavor and texture and sublime to behold as well as eat. Chef Leigh Omilinsky's pastry kitchen excels as well -- making them one of the best 1-2 punches in the city.
Food was absolutely spectacular along with the service. Would have prefered the lighting to be dimmed a little more for ambiance, otherwise beautiful evening.
An amazing experience!! The food, the service, the ambience is incredible.... Fernando made our evening so special! A must go.....⭐️🌟✨⭐️
My vegetarian entree was so salty, it was inedible. The farro was also hard, and undercooked.
One of my ATF spots in chicago. Casual elegance. Refined and creative menu. Gracious service. Always a remarkable experience.
AMAZING! Service was impeccable, as was the food. We celebrated our first anniversary and received a signed card from the staff as well as special treats for the occasion. Wonderful, 11/10 - Everyone should dine here.
Waiter was outstanding. He gave us Champaign and cake to celebrate all our events. Love Bellamore!
Excellent service, delicious food, exquisite interior. Will be back next trip to Chicago
Delicious food in a beautiful setting and impeccable service--a bit pricey and the wine list was somewhat limited but other than that, fabulous.
Everything was fabulous! It was a very special dinner! Every detail of that evening made it superb!
I've been to Bellemore a number of times for drinks but this was only my second time for dinner. We had the tasting menu and every single dish was amazing. Everything about this place is amazing - the decor, ambience, food, drinks - you name it! I look forward to coming back soon!
Nice room - lively atmosphere - limited but varied and interesting menu - well conceived - same goes for wine list. Everything very tasty. Not crazy expensive. Service ok - not exactly friendly - a little cold.
Beautiful Bellemore! Wonderful meal, great service.
The complexity of the each of the dishes I had surprised me:
The Gem salad was great. I have to recommend the Asparagus, that farro! The waiter said it was harvested early and flash roasted to remove the husk, the nutty texture and flavor were terrific. For entree I had the Wagyu Tri-Tip, followed by the desserts! Tres Leches Cake and Canelè de Bordeaux! each were full of surprises. Though I had read about the restaurant recently, I wasn't familiar with the desserts and had no idea how multifaceted and delicious each would be. A wnderful way to close the meal. Almost forgot, I loved the Amaro Daquiri. My husband enjoyed the Fois Gras, Hokkaido Scallops, and his entree, Monkfish.
We will return!
Bellemore was phenomenal. From food, ambience, to service. Would definitely come back. One of the best restaurant in Chicago!
The decor, the music, the food and the drinks. All amazing!!!
Food was inventive and good! All was great.
I would rate Bellemore the lowest in the Boka group. The menu is trying too hard to be exotic. Every item on the menu had strange ingredients and combinations.
Amazing wait staff and great service!
Beautiful, creative food impeccably prepared. Outstanding, attentive, engaging service at the perfect level. Great cocktails (try the Smoke and Berry, trust me). All sanely priced. We had a delightful experience and we'll be back.
Wanted to like this place. Had the tasting menu. 3 courses came before any of our drinks. My guest ordered wine from menu and 2 of her choices were unavailable. Waiter said he’d bring tastes for her to try and instead just brought a random glass for her without explaining what it was or even bringing back a drink menu. Waiter didn’t offer wine pairings with tasting menu. Pace of meal was odd, 3 dishes came out in rapid succession and then slow. Tasting menu—the foie gras dish and beef dish were yummy, really enjoyed them. Left though still hungry...I’m a 120 lbs woman so I feel bad for bigger dudes. Ambiance is gorgeous. Wouldn’t recommend or return. Maybe if service had been better I would have over looked a few things but with poor service even the food starts to be disappointing
Quality of food and experience matches that of restaurants with better known names and higher prices
Our friends got there early and hung out at the bar. They were very impressed with the cocktails, the bartenders and the whole ambiance. They went back to the bar after dinner to thank the bartenders for such a wonderful experience. They felt they had really connected and made friends! Everything was delicious. Many thanks!
Really lovely dinner. Menu and experience is carefully curated.
Staff and managers extremely helpful and courteous. Enjoyed everything about it.
What a delight! Food choices were inventive and tasty. How often do you get to eat fiddle heads and LOVE them? I wish we had had more time to enjoy our meal as we had a show at the Lyric to attend - no time for desert. I enjoyed a dill waffle with goat cheese, scallops hors d'oeuvres and finally an asparagus (with fiddle heads) entree. Next time my only entertainment will be a Bellemore meal (so want to try desert)!
One of my favorite spots in Chicago. I almost hesitated to review it because I don’t want everyone finding out about it. You can still usually get a reservation last minute and it’s not overly crowded— but it’s still fun and full of guests. Food is great. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Tables are spaced out so you’re not right next to other guests. Just all around fabulous.
Inconsiderate noisy people at the next table can ruin an evening of otherwise excellent food. Great service should include intervening to maintain an excellent experience for all patrons.
We enjoyed a delightful lunch at Bellemore this past week. We were greet warmly and shown immediately to our table despite the fact that we were more than a bit early for our reservation. Seated in a beautiful banquette with menus and a wine list and with water glasses filled, we settled in for a relaxing lunch for two. The waiter was at hand with an offer of something to drink and there were several very nice options by the glass. We each chose the Sancerre and were not disappointed...a perfect summer wine. The diner has the choice of the ala carte or the 3-course meal menu. Both feature many of the same options so it really depends on how hungry you are...which is nice. One of us had the creamy Green Garlic Soup and the Garden Salad and the other had the Steak and Avocado Salad with an amazing sesame and chopped cashew vinaigrette both delicious and filling. Other enticing options included the Bellemore Burger and a Veal Ragout Pasta. I am hoping to return soon for a chance to sample the dinner menu. This is a wonderful option for a quiet, peaceful meal in the midst of a bustling city. I recommend the food, the wine, the service and the ambience without reservation.
Run, don’t walk to this place! Lives up to everything you may have heard or read! Spectacular is not enough.
Very attentive in answering questions. Device was top notch. Friendly. Insured we enjoyed ourselves
I came a few months ago and thought this place was terrific- one of the top restaurants in Chicago. Now, I don't have the same conviction. Most of the problems we encountered were service related. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time. We were offered complimentary cocktails for the wait which I appreciated, but they didn't come out until we reminded the staff about them. The restaurant and staff just seemed overwhelmed.
I had called ahead of time to tell the staff of dietary restrictions. When we were seated, I asked the waiter if he had received them and he said yes. I also did remind him that I was 7.5 months pregnant. When we asked for recommendations, he suggested a dish was raw.... We were able to flag down another waitress and asked for her recommendations. She was infinitely better and ended up taking over our table. It's not a huge menu and I had pregnancy related dietary restrictions myself and my friends also had dietary restrictions as well so it limited our options. The Hawaiian rolls and sunchoke salad were great. My friends ordered the chicken dish (dry, bland) and the grilled asparagus (they liked it). I ordered the monkfish- I didn't care for it to be honest. For dessert, we had a strawberry tiramisu which tasted more like strawberry shortcake. We also had a dark chocolate trifle dessert (I don't remember the name) and that was nice and decadent.
I definitely do not consider this restaurant to be the best that Chicago has to offer. I was also disappointed to have this experience replace my first impression of the restaurant (which was very positive). Lastly, I would recommend that this restaurant also change up their menu every once in a while! I wish the best for this restaurant but it will be a while before I come back!
