The Boiler Room Restaurant
Totally enjoyed this restaurant! Food was great! Service was great! Music was great!
Will definitely go back!
Food was great! We sat outside under an umbrella due to a light drizzle and were one of 3 tables. Service was lackluster and we were left waiting for drink refills all night.
First I'll say that our waiter, Sven, was great! The appetizers were good but when it came time for dinner to come out things went down hill. Three of us ordered the Petit Tender but all of them came out cold. When we asked, Sven said he'd take it to be warmed up but that the temperature our steaks were requested at would memore done (ex. requested medium would come back out medium well). I said I'd like mine to still be medium but I want my food to at least be warm. In the end the food was still cold and the kitchen seemed to not want to fix it. Those three dishes were also very bland. My other family members enjoyed their food.
Awesome ambiance, eclectic and standard menu choices, live music, outside seating!
The food was delicious!
This restaurant is a little off the beaten path but well worth a visit. Outdoor dining area was well designed and landscaped. Food was very good with several relatively sophisticated offerings, and was reasonably priced.
Perhaps one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. Whether it was being treated rudely upon arrival or the waiters inability to know the menu or the cold food, the place was a disaster.
Outdoor seating on the patio with very attentive wait staff. The burger was standard fare with a side of fries and was good. My guest had the Mahi-Mahi tacos and was very happy with her meal. Very little noise for an outside venue.
Highly recommend. The food was great and so was the service. A hidden gem!
Great place and great service. We look forward to returning soon. #HowDaBanksesLive
The food was good, the staff was nice. I will be going back.
We had a lovely experience at this restaurant! Our party of 8 had reservations for outside but as a storm came in, the employees hurried and got us seated inside. Our waiter and the entire staff was great!
The car show was off putting. But the restaurant itself was amazing as always.
Love the peach salad and the pina coladas. The staff is great. The place is following the civic 19 guidelines.
Great food in a beautiful building. Will go again for sure.
Great spot in highlandtown! Off the beaten path a bit but worth it.
Nice place but a bit hard to find. Also I was very impressed by the level of care they put to dining safely during the virus. Th e outdoor sitting was beautiful and the inside is very clean. Food is delicious. Staff was very caring. Would recommend.
Literally the best food in Baltimore! And I’ve been to many places in Fells and many seafood places. Best shrimp in Baltimore; the old bay onions were amazing. Mahi tacos and General Tso Bun were great meals. My only regret is that I was too full to try dessert.
Service was also great!
It is a lovely setting. What was unsettling was that our server was not wearing his mask over his mouth or nose. He had it pulled under his chin. This was consistent through the meal. We were very uncomfortable but did not feel it was our place to correct him. We saw him serve many tables with his mask this way. He might as well have not been wearing one
Sat outside at a table with umbrella. Nice light breeze, music piped outside. Social distancing in effect. Wait staff prompt and friendly. Food exactly as anticipated. Delicious! Drinks delicious! Definitely a restaurant we will visit regularly.
When we arrived there were very few people there and it was close to closing time. I called ahead a day before to confirm the kitchen would be open for our 10 pm reservation and they said as long as we were there on time the kitchen would stay open for us. I didn’t anticipate that we’d be the only one there and felt a bit bad they stayed open just for us.
But, they made us feel very welcome and didn’t seem to mind (at least outwardly) that we were keeping them there for another 45 minutes. We very much enjoyed the food and
The food was very good and drinks were made to perfection. Due to the Coronavirus there was a very limited menu of Pizzas and Sandwiches. Looking forward to visit again once they have a full menu.
The General Tso’s chicken sandwich is to die for. Can’t wait to go back again and try other things on the menu! Staff were all so nice and the outdoor seating was well spaced out and comfortable.
Ladies night was fun. The specials were awesome. Are waiter was very nice and attentive.
The Boiler room is a nice restaurant that is off the beaten path with ample parking. The out door area is a nice patio area with comfy seating. The waitstaff were really nice and helpful. The food was great, I highly recommend the General Tso chicken sandwich and the watermelon cosmo. I will be visiting this restaurant again!
Food was delicious. Had the charcuterie pizza and general Tso's chicken sandwich. Both were amazing! Especially the chicken.
We did the outdoor dining after 8pm on Thursday. I am not familiar with the area and was just looking for a place that was open and had a decent menu. Great service because we were over 30 minutes late for our reservations but when we called they still welcomed us. I had a blue margarita that hit the spot and then the oysters arrived! OMG- one of the most delicious foods I have ever tasted!!! They were followed by the brisket pizza!!! It was heaven, you could taste the smoke in the brisket, just the right amount! Great experience and when I am back in town will definitely being coming back. In the meantime I will be dreaming about those oysters!
Liquor list is limited to mixed drinks right now. Liquor should be available for pours, if requested
Great food and service. The restaurant has free off street parking!
Atmosphere was great and so were the drinks. Food was ok. Calamari entree came out cold and while pizza had great flavor, the underside was COVERED in too much flour. Side of Mac and cheese as good but small portion for the price. Definitely would go back for drinks but likely not for a full dinner again. Wasn’t worth the price for lackluster entrees.
Great Food and Whiskey =) - Perfect spot for a first date night
They didn’t have our reservation. We had to wait over 30 minutes for a table. Not sure if this is an issue with open table or the restaurant but it was very frustrating. As a large group we had a limited time to eat and therefore missed things At our conference because we had to wait. Again I’m not sure if this was their fault but it started the dinner off bad. Everything else went well, everyone loved their food and our waitress was very nice.
Staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Menu offers a varied selection. Will visit again.
Came out for Valentines Dinner - restaurant opened 15 Jan 2020 - which is relevant - spot is really cool and secure - pulling up its on the edge of rougher part of town - not terrible but not take a stroll part of town either - private parking lot so that was good to go - bar was friendly and filled - bartenders are competent and capable. Wait Staff is still finding its stride - we ordered an appetizer of oysters, two entrees, and desert. Entrees came out and were really good. I ordered the wagyu tenderloin which is t Wagyu but still really good. My wife had the Scallops which were also noted as really good. During this course some how the Oysters came out - which were supposed to be the appetizer. Average at best but I was also jaded by the order of the food. We still ordered desert which was creme brûlée - which was a creme brûlée met a smore but wasn’t cooked - truly terrible - the only part I hated.
This a very disappointing anniversary meal for us. The service was a bit weird and somewhat offputting. After having been seated by the staff, the hostess came to the table and asked if we had a reservation not once but twice. The soup which was billed as a crab soup, turned out to be a heavy tomato laden minestrone with a scant two tiny crab legs. The entree was to have been a Paella was a deconstructed hodgepodge of items. Nothing in the menu description eluded to the dense fried rice cake, reminiscent of a polenta that was served to us. We cancelled the entree as it was inedible. The restaurant offed a complimentary dessert. The single dessert turned out to be scarcely more than a tablespoon of chocolate mousse piped onto a premade miniature pie crust. In all the meal was something south of mediocre and absolutely ruined our evening.
The best thing about this visit was our wonderful server Dani. Our food took over an hour to come out, and then when it did my wife was very underwhelmed by the portion size of the Wagyu Steak. I had the Paella which was quite delicious, but far from traditional (which is what the description appeared to be). Cocktails were phenomenal and well worth a trip back, but we may skip the food next time.
We took a gamble going to a new restaurant on Valentine’s Day, but the service was impeccable. The food was amazing. It was unlike any other menu we’ve seen in Baltimore. Definitely worth the visit.
Great Food, great service. Will definitely return. Brick oven calamari was absolutely outstanding very tender and the pickled onions added a unique flavor, we loved it. The reuben egg rolls were also a hit with us. The scallop dish was loaded with scallops all perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Wagu tenderloin was well seasoned and tender. I would recommend both. They offered a free dessert for Valentine's day. The service was great. We were greeted and seated right away. Over server, Juan Carlos, was the best. He engaged us in lite conversation as we ordered, answered our question and took great care of us. As we left, he came over and shook my hand, thanked us for dinning there and invited us to please come again. That does not happen in many places. Can't wait go back and try the brick oven pizzas.....definitely worth trying.
The food was tasty & the ambiance was great, especially for the occasion. Despite a great experience, the room-temperature food was a miss in my opinion. While great tasting, it could benefit from being a little hotter when served (this may be personal preference, but something I appreciate). However, I do see myself going back to the establishment. The macaroni and cheese was delicious and the staff was very courteous.
First visit to the boiler room and it was great. We will return someday to eat at the bar area.
