One of my favorite local spots, wonderful view, delicious food, lovely staff and relaxed, fun ambiance!
Great service, delicious cocktails & seafood. Thanks
Everything was wonderful, apart from the noisy dogs barking outside (tied up nearby whilst a patron ignored them as they dined inside). I understand this wasn't in the restaurant's control but it dampened the otherwise lovely atmosphere.
A wonderful meal to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday
Great location ! The food was fresh, I would recommend the Seafood taster .
The menu had a a lot of choices to suite our 8 people on the day .
Service was also great , thanks to our Fab waitress .
Best food and cocktails, service and views. We highly recommend. We'll definitely be back!
Can’t beat a wonderful outlook like the ocean view from the restraunt
Delicious food from a diverse and interesting menu. The staff were attentive and friendly. A lovely spot for a long lunch!
Great spot by the water with very nice food.
Food was excellent, lovely selection of wine to choose from.
Service by wait staff was friendly and helpful.
The food was not near as good as I expected it to be for the price or the location.
Would happily sit and have a few drinks but will not be eating dinner there again.
amazing food & ambiance ! the jackfruit tagine was absolutely amazing !!
Best food on the peninsula, great location, lovely view and friendly service
Amazing location with a view and good food, was really impressed with the quality of the cocktails especially. Service may be a little slow but staff were polite and overall is a great place for a romantic dinner, would definitely recommend going here if you are in the area.
Our group of nine people all enjoyed their delicious meal. Staff were also wonderful. I'm sorry I didn't get names, but I think our waiter might have been the proprietor. He was very friendly and enjoyed a bit of a joke. Our waitress was also very nice. Just her second shift working there and a little nervous I think, but did a wonderful job.
Beautiful setting and great service. Food portions not huge but didn't leave feeling hungry. Very accommodating staff. Will go again.
My family ,friends and I have shared this restaurant experience in numerous occasions and have really enjoyed it every time.
Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Thankyou so much we all had a fabulous day
Love this restaurant. Everything about it is great - the staff, the food, the location. Thanks Box for a great night.
Food was great, staff were helpful and friendly. Cocktails were very pricey and tasted very dull/ watered down.
Great location, great service and great food. Most enjoyable. Thank you
The food was very good, we all enjoyed our dish. Promt yet not too fast of service. One complaint is that I had specified a few dietary issues and requested that the chef accomodate my needs, and it wasn't followed through with, so I couldn't eat a few things that I had ordered and paid for.
Good food, great service and location. Will definitely be back.
We had the degustation. Most of the food was great. Pork belly was way too greasy, the Rip Brie, we were expecting lavosh or something similar to have with it but no, we had to ask for it. The most disappointing thing was on every course we had to ask for utensils to serve the food. As they were share plates, we couldn’t use our utensils to serve. The best part of the lunch was the view.
We four had seafood , oysters , mussels , flathead and barramundi
All delicious and beautifully cooked , or just shucked . The service was unobtrusive , and perfectly timed by Nathan
A well celebrated birthday
Fabulous food and a great location. A wonderful way to enjoy lunch. Their rose spritzer was delicious
Some dishes were a little disappointing. The outstanding dish of the day was the Barramundi. We had 9 adults and felt a little rushed by the waitresses always reminding us the limit was 1.5 hours per table. Considering the choices in the area it was one of the best and the views were amazing !
Always a great place to have dinner looking out over the calm waters of Ettalong Beach and across to Pittwater and Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Pleasant outlook accompanied by pleasant staff.
I hate to say it, but, I was so... disappointed in my dinner. We went on a Sunday, after having such an enjoyable dinner on a Saturday, about 3 weeks before. I chose the very same dish - It was a grilled fish ( which the staff were kind enough to do for me, since the menu item is battered) with salad, no chips. The fish was great, but the salad, supposedly Watercress and Radish, had barely a trace of either, and was filled out with limp generic greens and peas. The dressing, which last time, was citrusy and light, was oily and unsavoury. The sauce platelet had changed also, from a lovely aioli, to something, chunky, and once again, generic.
At this point, I must add, my children had taken me to the venue also, on my Birthday I might add, on a Friday on that occasion . I’d missed out on the Vermouth Mussels, due to my chosen dining time the week before, so, that was my choice. Well, I was off sick the next day as I’d been up to the amenities countless times. And Alex (my son-in-law) , who shared a no. of the Mussels was also queasy, ( he didn’t have many, just at the bottom of the bowl, but he said they were a bit slimy)
We don’t, as a family have weak bellies, so I was a bit taken aback, however, I put it down to a one off incident, because of the other wonderful positives of your venue- the position, ambiance and staff - noting the attentiveness and courteousness of your waiter Nathan, on my last visit.
Another positive was my friend’s meal choice of the Seafood Teaser, very imaginative and fresh, without blemish. And the local Gosford Beer was a Malty delight.
But my meal, what do they say? Thrice bitten ?
Bad cocktails, overfried chips and unclean restaurant
Great location, great staff and the food is excellent
Beachfront casual in an indoor/outdoor setting. Very busy on our Sunday visit but service was friendly and efficient.
Good menu with emphasis on seafood with a selection of standard but well prepared dishes at reasonable prices.
Always great service and the food is good too, what a great place !
The experience was great, the table was in nice location overlooking water. Food was well presented and innovative. My partner made changes to order that was on menu and this was accommodated, no questions asked. Service and attention was excellent.
Ordered an 8 course menus
Plus wine ! Spend over $230 to be told we only got
Ten minutes left and we still had two courses to go. At one stage we waited over 15 mins between courses to be told at the end that we are asked to take our desert in a takeaway box and finish our wine at the bar !
Will never come back again ! Waiters don’t even know names of dishes !
Shocking service !
Great food! Nice view! Lovely atmosphere! Well done ! Congratulations !
Waiting staff mixed. One girl nice the other guy with the pierced nose had that didn't want to be there vibe.
Food overall poor. Picky starter food fine. Mains: Burger - tasteless meat. Guest ate a quarter of it. Fish & chips - batter not cooked through with the inner half of it mushy. Chips overcooked & dry like they'd been sitting under the hot lights in the kiosk at the back for some time. Wine & deserts were good.
Service was brisk, efficient and friendly. Best all-round seafood platter we have had in years. Great quality and variety. Highly recommended.
The service was fantastic, food excellent which made for a great experience.
Really good paella. Children's menu excellent & very good value for $15.
