   Not inexpensive, but very good quality in terms of food, service and surroundings. Overall the best restaurant in Buxton. Not least as it’s possible to actually have a conversation without shouting - somewhat unique nower days.

   The evening was a bit disjointed and seemed like the staff were not communicating well with one another. The food was good, but portions were smaller than expected and the menu had not been updated on OpenTable. The starters and mains were slightly overcooked on the meat and undercooked on some vegetables and the panna cotta was too firm, in my opinion. It was still a good meal despite some of the drawbacks.

   Lovely food and great service. They catered for dairy free with a choice of 2 cakes and very tasty scones. The only thing was the room was small with no atmosphere. We thought we would be in the main dining room with some ambiance. Would still recommend though.

   Very good food and very good customer service throughout. The hotel reception area, the lounge bar, and the restaurant were all attractively furnished, and the hotel team were busy in keeping things ship-shape through the evening.
