The Clifton NW8
Excellent friendly service with great staff and meals
Really good find in the locality. Excellent staff. Will be back
Had the roast dinner. The cut of beef was excellent, cooked to perfection. The carrot and swede and swede mash was also excellent and so was the Yorkshire! Potatoes were slightly hard but still nice. Gravy was tasty but watery and the horseradish was runny and tasteless.
Dessert was the salted caramel brownies. Excellent, but not for the faint hearted! Wine was nice, slightly expensive.
Beautiful small plates in a chilled out atmosphere
Fantastic lunch with great friends a great occasion
good combination of food and pub - menu has improved
A lovely place with great food and staff
Terrific gastro pub. Imaginative food beyond the standard fish and chips which seems to have taken over the food offering at many pubs. Not to say they don't offer fish and chips- they do- but several choices in addition. The service was friendly and informative. The pub has a pretty open plan feel, so if you are looking for a city pub that will make you think you are in the country, this is not it. But if you are looking for a pub with excellent food and drink with a casual friendly feeling, this is the pub for you. The owners also have a pub (with jazz club downstairs) in Hampstead which i will be checking out on my next trip to London.
Had a fab night in a fab pub would highly recommend
The pub was pretty empty for a Friday night creating a subdued atmosphere. The food was good, though it was a shame the restaurant ran out of green beans, one of the side dishes, even though there were so few diners! Excellent French fries and the hot smoked salad was very nice.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The pub is a favourite and I'm a regular.
Lower scores this time for the missing beans, and the lack of atmosphere for a Friday night!
Very cute, cozy, homey atmosphere on a residential street. Food was good and server was warm and friendly. Would recommend for a casual meal or drink if you're in the neighborhood.
I really enjoyed my experience at this pub, however, it was very noisy outside as some families bring very savage children that only shout just out of control and this is extremely annoying as we adults outside get disturbed and can’t have a regular conversation without losing the attention.
On the other hand my dog was very well treated by the staff and I really appreciated it.
A great meal served with speed - best fish and chips for me. My guests were equally impressed.
Excellent Sunday roasts with great atmosphere and staff

An excellent meal with friendly and first class service
Great meal, great place to dine - special thanks to Emily.
Love this place. Such a lovely local. The food is always fresh and tasty
Clifton is a great pub that avoids the sameness that infects 90% of the pubs in London. Good gastro pub menu and a nice array of craft beers. It’s a gem tucked away in St John’s Wood.
Excellent dining in every way
First class in all ways
Excellent food and friendly service
Excellent meal and service
Its always a great experience and the food is always great
Cutest and coziest pub, tucked away on quiet street. Great for drinks with friends or family!
We came for an early lunch with our kids. As we were early we had the place to ourselves, the kids were happy to play around the table. Food was tasty, the ginger and carrot soup was particularly nice.
Great food and service as always
Thank you for a lovely evening. Great food and service in gorgeous surroundings
