The Cork & Bottle - Leicester Square
Don’s reputation allowed some of the best growers to invite him in and give him access to some of the world’s most treasured wines – the type of wines that usually only find their way to a few lucky locals.
Cork & Bottle is now run by Will Clayton with just the same philosophies, all under Don’s auspicious eye. An iconic venue for wine lovers around the world, whether you’ve come to our website to indulge yourself, book a table, choose a present for a loved one or select a corporate gift, we’re delighted that you share our passion for great wine.

Generally very good with excellent food and wine, and ambience
Always great. Our waitress, Faye was especially worth a vote of thanks.
Been a regular visitor and it never disappoints - perfect mix of gentle hum of diners and friendly, helpful staff
What a wonderful place. Tiny tables, packed, noisy. But for all that it was absolutely brilliant. The food and wine were superb. Incredible value.
Great; would definitely go again. Convenient and convivial. And good food. Better than the following show in fact!!
We enjoyed our visit to the cork and bottle very much. Great service, very welcoming and convivial ambience. The food was delicious as was the accompanying wines. Perfect way to start the evening pre theatre.
We look forward to the next time.
Love this place every time I come, whether with friends or family! Always a pleasure, food and staff amazing and you cannot best the famous ham and cheese pie! Fab selection of wine too! Should be with the name of the place!!!
Lovely night out, a bit slow, but the wait staff was as friendly as usual. And the food, as always, was delicious!
Great cheeses and wines. A little hidden gem
Always have a lovely meal at The C&B. Such friendly service, really good food and interesting wines. A welcome escape from the surrounding area.
Enjoyed our dinner and the vast wine list. Hidden gem in leister square
Nice and cosy. Good selection of wine. Will definitively come again.
Fabulous service from a delightful young lady who made us feel very welcome. Food was delicious and wine fantastic. Excellent value. A gem of a place.
Such a lovely place amongst the predictable chain restaurants. \always good
I love the atmosphere at this restaurant, the waiting staff are so friendly and helpful, keen to help you get whatever kind of meal you're looking for. We got there early enough to get one of the tables set back in a kind of cellar/booth, so cosy for the 5 of us. The food is lovely and I will definitely go again, I love it
As always, a tasty, well-served, good value lunch at The Cork & Bottle.
Excellent as always. Great atmosphere coupled with good food - and let’s not forget the wine selection (and cheese!) - Highly recommended.
Family get together. Had to wait over half an hour for a table in spite of having booked, but the atmosphere and bar was excellent and once seated we had a great evening with good food
I have been drinking (and sometimes eating) at the Cork and Bottle for more years than I care to mention. It has always been an oasis in the heart of Leicester Square. Great location, atmosphere and wine list!
Lovely place and food, but the staff were overworked and not able to deal with the tables that were in. Ended up getting our own drinks from the bar to help the waitress out. Would definitely go back, hopefully they will have a full team!
Good food and wine but the tables are far too cramped together! Very bright lighting and noisy too.
Cheese and Ham pie is worth the trip alone, good service too and reasonable prices for somewhere so central.
Love this place. It can get a bit loud but well worth going. The food is really good and around 300 wines to choose from. Cheese deli fridge a big plus too.
A fantastic bar which over the years retains it great atmosphere in the very heart of London. Great wine, good food, great atmosphere. As my guest from New York said,"it was a delight"to come of a crowded street into the relaxed atmosphere of the Cork and Bottle"Long may it remain.
Family get together
Cosy atmosphere with great food & wine. Extensive choice and friendly knowledgeable service
Two of us sat in a side area where it was quiet and we could chat. Place not overly busy being lunchtime. Service attentive but not overwhelming and celery and Parmesan soup was delicious followed by spicy squid which was lovely.
Love this place , amazing !
Staff friendly, food somewhat limited in choice but all four of us enjoyed what we ordered - have to admit that my "thrice cooked chips" were excellent, but there were too many of them! Only problem was the level of the music which I found irritating - but I would still recommend this restaurant.
We have visited this wine bar many times before over the last 20 years and love its charactor and great wines. Sadly, on this occassion, it did not present at its best. My first 2 choices were sold out so I ended up with a bland salad, my husband's burger was cold and dry. Service from the kitchen was very slow. Will return, but will definitely stick with the cheese board next time! Having said that, the serving staff were friendly, polite and cheerful.
Our 44th wedding anniversary. We’ve been coming here since Jan 1975 when we were students.
Great little place downstairs that you might walk by and miss it - but don’t. Small menu. Surprised at the quality of the food. Great service and friendly, hospitable, too. Definitely would return. Best make reservations; it’s small.
Although the waiters/waitresses were extremely nice, I am afraid the service was not good. We went there at 5pm so did have plenty of time before going to the Theatre and it was good that we did. Saying that it was a Friday evening, so very busy.
I am a regular at The Cork & Bottle and do like the atmosphere there.
The Cork & Bottle is still a favourite of mine!
Ideal venue before theatre.
Lovely restaurant recommended by a relative. The food was very good as was the service. Afraid we had a very noisy table behind us making it difficult to hear over the raucous laughter but overall the experience was a very pleasant meal and would definitely go again.
Very civilised place to meet for a pre-theatre supper. Excellent wine list, pleasant service and the chocolate mousse was excellent (and I've had a few...)
I love this place. Food is amazing, the wine is amazing, the staff are lovely. What more could you ask for?
Tucked away from the crowds of Leicester Square, an intimate French place, ideal for couple, friends, family basically anyone looking for good French food and fabulous wine. I recommend it to anyone!
Food was great, but wine is the reason I love coming here - we asked for a recommendation and were served a stunning pinot noir from New Zealand. Service was a bit below par, but to be fair the newbie was backed up by very experienced and great staff.
Lovely quirky little restaurant, a real gem in the heart of London. Hard to beat for good value and an interesting menu.
