Decent place , decent food , decent Price . Will be returning
Been here twice for lunch and was blown away by both food and service - very disappointing this time around. No toilet paper in the ladies, had to ask to order drinks after waiting nearly 15 minutes, twice my husband was told ale had run out but then was still charged for it. Food was nice but not the amazing quality for lunch. Overpriced and the 12.5% service charge not warranted - I did mention I’d be happy to pay 10% but it was removed entirely which was a nice touch and the manager did come over to apologise which again was appreciated. A shame as we were so looking forward to it and it was a let down - would return for lunch based on previous experiences but not for dinner
Food and service were excellent, however, menus very pretentious and prices over the top
Service just so professional, food great, but priced accordingly.
Another great meal at the Drumming Snipe, the standard is still as good as ever. Good to see that some of the favourites are still on the menu but that there are new choices for us on the menu. Very good service as well, although our table was a bit close to the kitchen door so we were disturbed a bit by the constant moving in and out.
Wonderful experience with attentive friendly service
Last minute booking, great discovery.
Will be back when next in the area.
This place is definitely worth a detour. Nice surrounding, good service and excellent food. An absolute find, and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Fantastic value too. What's not to love?
commend this place to anyone!
Our 2nd visit and still did not disappoint.
Lovely pub, fab staff ..but sadly the food was not very nice at all. Perhaps we were unlucky with the last of the roasts but we left most of it. Overpriced for the quality.
My first visit and I was'nt disappointed ... lovely seating, excellent service, great food and Moet by the glass ... perfect!
Excellent choice of dishes and the quality of the food is as good as you can get anywhere
The welcome was warm and the service impeccable! The food was interesting and full of taste, we particularly liked the Eccles cake and cheese. The smoked trout starter was delicious and the wine gorgeous. A memorable evening
We enjoyed our first visit with a good quality lunch at reasonable prices and quick efficient service.
This is an honest review...First time I'd been to this Pub(site)for 3 years and, much improved from the dire experience before.
The Drumming Snipe is, I think, trying a bit too hard and losing some attention to detail on the basics while trying to be a little too "fancy" with the food.
Please try a little more to give service with a SMILE and make sure that simple foodstuffs are done well.
I'll go back but to eat off the Lunchtime menu which seems much better value as Dinner for two with beer -and a hefty and unwarranted 12.5% service charge-at £60 a head is just too much
We are regular diners at the Drumming Snipe and booked for lunch yesterday. We received the usual warm welcome and there were some new staff members.
We selected our starters and mains. We had the cold tomato soup and the chicken and pigeon terrine. Both were very tasty and we enjoyed them. We both had the Cornish Cockerel with sides of new potatoes and squash. Everything was tasty and well presented. We struggled with the CockerelLegs which were rather tough but the remainder was perfect. Our struggles were recognised by providing our desserts free of charge. We enjoyed our sundae and poached peaches. We had a couple of drinks, a bottle of water and two lattes. The meal was very good value. We shall not hesitate to go again and to recommend it as a great place to eat.
Excellent high standard menu, discreetly attentive service. All staff incredibly helpful. Thoroughly enjoyable evening using a Travelzoo voucher which (obviously) massively reduced our final bill! Would definitely go again for a special occasion.
We came 6PM for a roast and it was definitely the scraps of a roast dinner. Everything was warmed up. Beef fatty
We had two soft drinks and two roasts £50 a lot money for rubbish cuts of meat tiny bit of veg and potatoe and not even offered if we wanted any sauces
My partner has the roast first time we visited you and he said it was exactly the same
The menu on Sunday is a bit drab
We will only return for drinks if anything now
Spur of the moment booking for Sunday lunch. Absolutely superb food and service. We both had roast beef which was delicious. Will be going back. Highly recommend
Excellent as always - service is well intentioned although the staff are not always well informed about dishes. Doesn't take away from the enjoyment or quality of the food. Will be back soon.
Fantastic Sunday roast. Such a lovely pub and very welcoming. Brilliant service, polite & friendly.
Food was delicious and we had a lovely afternoon here.
Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
Lovely meal the only criticism was the dried out pieces of bread served with my delicious terrine. Not toasted properly just dry.
I love this place anyway but on Saturday was one of the best meals we've had there. Can't wait to go back
Nice meal but we had to ask for the service to be slowed down as we felt a bit rushed. Food was good but slightly overpriced.
We had a fixed price lunch
Two course for £16 and three course for £19
There was a great choice and all the choices the four of us made were delicious
We sat outside under the canopy and it was lovely
I’d definitely I felt recommend it for lunch!!!
My third time visiting and, yet again, a fantastic experience! No complaints at all. I highly recommend visiting. You will not be disappointed!
The staff were excellent. Portion size good for cost of lunchtime menu. Food needed more seasoning and oomph. Skin on fish could have been crispy. Plates lovely and hot so food was hot!
Wine menu reasonable
Good idea for the format, Nice food and the service was excellent.
Great food, brill service, definitely worth going.
It’s a pity, they mucked about with shepherds pie, a shepherds pie is a shepherds pie, don’t muck about white it.
My husband and I took friends for lunch ,they had not been to the Drumming Snipe
before ,but it was our 4th time . We all really enjoyed it ,the menu was varied ,the food was delicious ,the staff were friendly and attentive . We will be coming back again.
I came across the pub through other friends so decided to meet up with a friend who I haven’t really seen since March last year.
The maitre D is so lovely so are all the servers. The Menu has a variety of good choices, it’s hard to choose as everything just sounds delicious. The food is elegantly presented and very tasty
Definitely need to introduce more friends.
CHECK YOUR BILL!!!
If you only have one course at lunchtime, you still get charged £16 for 2 courses!
We ordered one small & 1 large Sauvignon Blanc. We were brought 2 large ones! I said I'd ordered a small one, so then I was brought a small one.
2 large wines were charged on the bill. I asked for it to be corrected.
On arrival at home, I checked the wine prices to find I'd been charged for the more expensive small/175ml Sauvignon Blanc. Ok, not a huge difference, but I do not like being ripped off!!
Lovely food and service. I love that tables are well spaced. Not too close to each other .
The best restaurant in the Woking Area, lovely food and drink, great service.
Lovely food, and the female senior waitress/manager (blonde, RP accent) was just lush!!! So polite and helpful.
Amazing food service outstanding a delicious Sunday menu. Thank you
The chicken and wood pigeon terrine and halibut main were outstanding. My wild rabbit was very tasty also. The food is a cut above The Bird in the Hand and The Red Lion. Highly recommend.
My first visit here. Had a lovely experience. Food and service was excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive. I really couldn't fault it. Wide range of different foods. We will definitely be returning.
The food was perfect. The service was first class - attentive without being overbearing. The ambience was relaxing.
I have visited three times for special occasions and will definitely return.
