This was our first visit. There was no one at the Ground Floor to direct us, but we found our way easily.
Staff was excellent - from reception to seating to server.
Food was very good. WE had a selection of Exchanges and 2 Large Plates.
As first-timers, we were delighted with the amount of food on both Exchanges and Plates, but ... we really did not need the Plates. The server might have given us a head up about the generous portions on the Exchanges. That would help us to order better.
We will return!
I had out town guest for the weekend and wanted to take them somewhere nice. We waited 20 min for server to come to the table, We finally got our appetizer 30 minutes later, we were going to order dinner and more drinks but decided to go elsewhere.
Great place really nice. Staff were great, food was delicious view and atmosphere was great
My favorite place to go out in Lancaster! Beautiful views and great food and drink.
With my parents for a night out as a Christmas gift to them, but we requested a table outside and when we arrived they said they could not sit us outside. I booked my reservation 3-4 weeks in advance snd it was very disappointing. We had dessert and drinks, but my mom and I wanted coffee, but they did not have coffee or tea. That seemed strange to me. I think this is the first bad review I have ever put on open table, but the whole experience was totally frustrating.
Our server was great and the food was good. According to COVID precautions, there was a 90 minute time limit which we had no problem with. With 10 minutes left on our time, we were given a “warning” that we would have to leave soon. Also not a problem. The irritating part came when we were leaving and noticed a couple who had arrived at the same time we did and were seated just before us still enjoying their (full) drinks. It looked like they had no intention of leaving any time soon. Not sure why the rules don’t apply equally to everyone.
We had an amazing server named Maurice. He was attentive, personable and provided outstanding service. The food was awesome! We had the crispy rock shrimp which was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. We also had a pizza, I believe it was the spring Bianca and that was amazing as well. I would absolutely recommend this spot. The vibe was awesome as well.
Part of the draw is sitting outside but high winds made that impossible. I had the Margherita pizza. The crust was soggy not crisp. The tomato sauce was pink & runny, not red. It looked like watered down sauce from a jar. Not sure what the cheese was. If it was mozzarella, it was grated so finely that it lost the texture I associate with that cheese.
Won’t be back
Excellent service in a very nice and interesting restaurant. The menu is a bit limited but the food was very good.
Beautiful scenery all around.
Loved it! Great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to others.
The Exchange in Lancaster was an excellent venue to sit and relax. The food, while good, takes a long time to be cooked and come out, but was very enjoyable. Do not go there with the expectations of having a full meal....instead, the idea is to sit back, drink a little, take in the sights and sounds, and as an added extra bonus, enjoy the food.
Took my dad out for his big sixty-two. We all had a great time enjoying the pizza and cocktails. Definitely one of the best views in Lancaster city.
Loved the vibe and thought the price was very reasonable.
Best sunset! Great place to share with your girlfriends
Awesome food! Great views and ambience. Wait staff rushes you out. We were halfway through our drinks and someone asked us if we wanted to go bags. No one was behind us and we probably would have dropped another $100 on alcohol. Pretty dumb
Food was mediocre at best for the price. The atmosphere and view is worth every dollar.
Spectacular experience from start to finish. The outside rooftop is heated, the appetizers and drinks are exceptional, and the server was attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Awesome views, great drinks! Service was good.
Will definitely be back
The food tasted good. The waitress was nice but it was overall the worst customer service I've had at a restaurant in a very long time, even during this last year of COVID. Just a terrible experience I'm sad to say, as if they were doing us a favor by letting us eat there. I guess when you are fully booked you don't have to care about customers.
It was really nice to go there and celebrate a 21st birthday party. The servers were very accommodating with balloons and bringing our own dessert. The food was great but the cocktail options were lacking. Realizing that they have a full bar and can create really any drink, it would have been nice to have a longer and more varied cocktail list with more than 5 options.
Fabulous vibe and location. Love the ever-changing menu so you can try new items every time you visit. Very fun place to celebrate a special day/evening.
The view and service was amazing. The food was ok. Drinks were great! The pizza was good, plenty for 2-3 to eat and reasonably priced. Loved the atmosphere, tables/chairs, and view. Menu is limited. Definately a cool place to check out.
Went to get pre dinner drinks for my husbands birthday. Made reservations for outdoors but was not able to sit outside due to the wind. Was slightly disappointed when we got seated indoors in the corner by the bathrooms and not near the view. I went to ask to get seated elsewhere but then all the tables were taken. Not a huge deal. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly, personable, and accommodating. Drinks took a little bit to come out to us. We went there an hour and a half before our dinner reservations but only had time to try one drink each. Overall, I would recommend this place to others.
the atmosphere is very quiet but very limited food menu.
Could have been more on menu, prices were a bit high. Otherwise good
Do to social distancing We were seated at a cocktail table right next to the hostess. It was like we where at a place while our table was getting ready. We could not order to much food as it would fit on the table. Jessica our waitress was great. We may give it a try again when restrictions are lowered.
Went here for a girl’s dinner with my daughter. We loved it! Our waitress was friendly & attentive, the food was fantastic as were the craft cocktails. We can’t wait to come back!
absolutely wonderful experience, can't wait to return!
Outstanding view, wonderful drinks, and delicious food.
Great food, phenomenal cocktails, and views. Will be back for sure.
Had a lovely anniversary experience with complimentary champagne. Highly recommend
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s Day as our first experience at The Exchange. The Brussel sprouts were amazing, the margarita pizza delicious, and the s’mores dessert so tasty! Our server, Jessica, was so awesome!
Staff is not friendly and gives a bit of attitude. Menu is nothing impressive and is very scarce. We went for lunch and they were already out if what seemed to be the only thing eye catching on menu. We ended up leaving but not before the waiter told us that the appetizer was already put in . Rather than apologizing for the bad experience we were forced to pay it and take it to go. The restaurant is nice with a nice view but it is more of a lounge. No dining tables. Also expect to feel pushed to buying a drink cause they wont stop asking.
All in all would not recommend to anyone unless you want a good photo op
My only complaint is that they hurried us out. I understand that they are trying to accommodate as many people as possible during Covid but felt a little rushed. Waitress couldn’t have been nicer about it and I understand but bear in mind the clock is running from moment you sit down
The waitress Jess was amazing!!! Thank you so much for everything!
Everything was fabulous except that my husband’s meal came out long after everyone else was served.
The rooftop view is stunning restaurant is unbelievable. A very small menu but very well done. Excellent choice of cocktails and wines.
Simply fantastic. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday lunch. We had originally reserved an outside table for safety reasons, but it was exceptionally cold and windy, but even sitting inside, there is plenty of space to spread out and not feel unsafe. The food was exceptional. We started with a brussel sprouts app, with bacon and candied pecans which was phenomenal. She ordered the hot honey fried chicken plate and loved it. I had pasta alla vodka and it was simply perfect. To boot, they brought out a wood fired s’mores pizza with a candle for her birthday. That dessert is heaven on earth. You won’t regret dining here.
Everything was decent, they just need to maintain a solid level of consistency and no resting on laurels. As an example, the doorman needs to be a bit more attentive, and not respond as he’s doing me a favor!
it was very good with a great ambiance. the pickled chicken nuggets were to die for
