The Gate St John's Wood
Great quality of food!
AMAZING FOOD but the service was standard. Felt like it could have been better service.
Great vegan food!
Very tasty excellent food but on the pricey side
Food excellent . Manager and assistant manager helpful and caring - waiting staff just not properly trained and so the lunch was spoilt by bad service
Second time in a week, this time for dinner. Love The Gate. Great attention to detail, it’s excellent. Don’t hesitate to try it.
The food at the gate was mostly excellent, although our cauliflower was rather over cooked (we think they forgot about it, as it also didn’t come until we’d almost finished our meal). The space is lovely and it’s a great place for meetings as you can hear each other, it’s light and airy.
The service was incredibly friendly, but it felt like they must have been highly understaffed. The staff didn’t stop running, but rarely had time to check in, so it was hard to get refills of water or check where our food was. Nonetheless, I would probably go back and would recommend the restaurant to others.
Food was good. Service was great and attentive especially for kids.
The only thing is, i do find it served food which is more savoury than other establishments. At least these apply for the dishes we ordered.
Tried The Gate for the first time for lunch recently, I am pescatarian/vegetarian and don’t often go to solely vegetarian/vegan restaurants. Well I’m so glad I did, wonderful selection, interesting, well presented and delicious dishes, professional and pleasant staff in a tastefully elegantly designed space. Don’t hesitate!
Food is fantastic!
Lovely staff and amazing food! We just hope they allow dogs soon! Will be going again :)
the fire alarm went off over 5 times in the 2 hours we were there. As side from that the food was delicious and we will definitely be returning
Took advantage of The Gate’s 30th Anniversary set menu, which was very good value for money.
Good sized portions & tasty dishes.
Excellent food and service. We will be back :)
Way too much garlic. Food fhastly
How better to promote healthy eating by providing exciting and nutritious vegetarian meals within a classy restaurant atmosphere.
Nice food, good choices.
Very quiet place.
A good addition to St John’s Wood
We went to The Gate in SJW for a mid-week early dinner. The décor is modern, comfortable but not elegant. The service was exceptionally friendly; everyone was happy to chat to us about the food and make recommendations.
I was there with a vegan friend (I’m only “mostly” vegan) and she was overjoyed to find a restaurant that was so obviously committed to creating interesting and tasty, cruelty-free dishes. I highly recommend the vegan enchiladas and the polenta chips are a must-have.
Don’t go to The Gate looking for “meat-like” dishes. They’re not trying to replicate meat but rather to produce excellent vegetarian and vegan food. They succeed admirably.
Their beautiful fourth location with creative, delicious vegetarian and plant based food.
Delicious inventive plant based food.
