Wonderful dining experience. The manager greeted us when we came in and was so polite. The server knew so much about the menu and was very attentive with drinks and anything we needed. The main meal was wonderful and the dessert was to die for! Can’t recommend this place enough!
Jo Jo and our server Brandon were amazing! They made my birthday dinner a special one! Brandon made excellent recommendations and he was spot on! He was attentive and polite! What an experience, will absolutely be back!
I was pleasantly surprised at my experience. I picked the restaurant based on the online menu. When I walked up to it, I assumed the inside would be very casual due to the signage. I was pleasantly surprised, however, that the inside was rather chic and everyone we encountered was extremely pleasant. Our server, Kay, was so knowledgeable of the entire menu that we basically let her plan our meal. We did the pre-fix menu and we were tremendously stuffed! We loved everything but particularly enjoyed the appetizer salad, and the bacon wrapped dates. The steak was tender and the grilled pineapple cake was delicious--yet not too sweet. If we could give any feedback is that I wish the cake was warmer upon serving. Other than that I can't wait to go back to The Grill. It was the outing we needed after not getting out for the past year.
Super waterfront dinner outside with Brendan--highly recommend the prix fix "Mixed Grill." Justin & Joe-Jo were the managers with the most. Friendly, fun all around.
Date night.
Everything was top notch. We ate outside, but inside the plastic. It was warm enough, and a beautiful day to boot. Lovely lunch in every respect.
This was the 2nd time we have eaten at The Grill. It will not be the last. Everything about the experience was great. Jojo goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special. Great job to all!

First time, everything was delicious. I was saddened to hear my server didn't have the opportunity to actually taste the different steak. At this price point, I expected him to help me decide between 28 day dry aged and 48 dry wet aged.
We had a great dining experience . Our server Maurice was fantastic . The host Jojo was very professional , attentive and had the best drink suggestions .

I was disappointed in our service at the Grill. Our waiter was inattentive, he did not recommend anything for dinner. When I told him about my dairy allergy, he did not offer any special consideration or seem to care at all. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the money. I will not go back to this restaurant.

Our waiter was great!!!! The food was terrific and it made for a special evening. Make sure you dre4s warmly because even with the ceiling heaters it and be cool inside the patio area. We would go back again!!!
Really enjoyed our first trip to The Grille. Our waitress was great and the GM Jojo visited us a few times and was awesome. The food was also very good. Get the grilled cheese app!!!
First of all we were sat 20 minutes after our reservation time which isn’t bad except the fact that you can only have a drink until 10pm and last call is at 9:30. We were sat after 8:30 pm. My steak was cold and terrible quality meat for $54! My friends chicken was extremely dry. I ordered a bottle of wine and it took FOREVER!! We literally had one glass, had to cork it and take it home! Restaurant was extremely over rated! Very disappointed for over a $400 bill.

I made a reservation for my girlfriend and I for date night. We arrived to our reservation early and got seated right away. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated outside (covered and heated) it was nice bc it was in January and still very much cold in DC. We enjoyed the service from the knowledgeable waitress and she helped us pick the best wine for our dinner. I ordered the salmon(honestly is wasn’t all of that) but my gf ordered the ribs which was OFF THE CHAIN!! I ate most of her ribs and fries. Overall great experience and would love to go back

Always great! Be aware that right now you have to sit outdoors to eat. It is heated and comfortable but if the wind is blowing it's a little cooler so dress warm!!

One of the best dining experiences in a while. Angel was our server and he was absolutely fantastic! I’m big on customer service and if you looked the definition up, his picture would be right next to it. My girlfriends and I met up for a safe “socially distant” dinner, and Angel suggested the best drinks and entrees. The man knew his stuff! We ordered the bbq ribs, salmon, and the lobster bisque soup w/mussels. Superb. The ambiance is wonderful and the heater fans outside were clutch. We enjoyed it so much that we will be back in two weeks. Thanks, Angel!
Great location in the Wharf District with view of the River. Nice heated outdoor seating area. Service was excellent. I thought the food was overpriced — you kind of pay a premium for the location. Ribs tasted like they were reheated and doused in bland bbq sauce. Fried calamari tasted frozen and also covered in a supermarket level sauce. Would go back for drinks and the view though

This was a horrible experience. When arriving at the restaurant at 9:30 pm per my booking: the host and service staff were rude. They forced us to seat right away, and then said if you want to order an alcoholic beverage you must do it now! All drinks will need to be removed from your table by 10 pm. We sat down and within two mins the service team said: hey we told you once... order your drink now or you won't get anything! Also, order your food within 10mins or the kitchen will close.
I understand there are new laws and rules changing every day due to COVID-19 and such. However, this staff could have framed their reasoning in a different way. If there were rules about eating and drinking, the restaurant should have updated their hours of operation to meet these new rules and inform guests prior. Even their manager was rude to the service staff when they asked questions on behalf of our table.
Sadly, the service was poor, the overall staff was rude, and not welcoming. I went to this restaurant for a special occasion and it was ruined. I will never go back or suggest this place to anyone.
I have worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years and understand at times things get stressful. However, it is important during these times you do not let this stress be seen or felt on the customer.
Their overall stress was seen and felt by my group that came to this establishment. In fact, most of my dinner party did not order food nor wanted to stay. We only stayed and order two small bites due to the fact we have been traveling and working all day.
