Good Monday night pub food. Chef Ethan does a very good job
We’ve eaten here many times, inside, takeout. Food is always on point.
Great beer, wine selection. First rate bar/cocktails. Food and beverages all very inventive without being ridiculous. Leisurely and unrushed experience. Staff is adjusting to being busier now that restrictions have been eased, but still very attentive.
Kelly and Lily are both wonderful.
Food excellent as usual! Service was great!
The previous time was better
Over priced and paired choices of sides was odd. Not that good.
Hi, Thank you for giving us a try! We are sorry to not be up to your expectations.
The Hamilton is a welcome respite from the typical burger/pizza/wings restaurants you find in The Poconos. The food was outstanding and the portions were huge (perhaps too big.) We loved the tuna nachos and the scallops on the risotto were perfectly cooked Service was fantastic. Our waitress Eliza had a smile on her face the entire time and was very enthusiastic. We hope to return during our next trip to the area.
Hi, thank you for giving us a try. We are so happy you enjoyed your experience dining with us. We look forward to serving you again!
Outstanding find, ambiance and atmosphere is rustic but romantic. Service was fantastic and the food was out of this world. I will definitely be back!
Hi Anthony, thank you for giving us a try. We are very happy you enjoyed your experience dining with us and look forward to serving you again!
This is a cute restaurant tucked away in a country road. Some of the food(ie more traditional dishes ) were quite tasty but I was disappointed by the lobster risotto. The lobster was not fresh and the risotto had no creamy quality so just a bust. Our waitress was lovely and the staff seemed to be friendly with everyone.
I would go back but I would not order anything but traditional American fare.
Very good food
Everything was perfect, best kept secret in Saylorburg.
We were in the area celebrating our friends anniversary, and had a sudden change of plans for dinner. Hopped on Opentable and we were able to get a table for dinner. So glad our travels brought us here!! Amazing service and delicious food and drinks!!! I had the steak of the day which was a perfectly cooked filet with melted blue cheese, and my husband had the smoked duck breast which was equally as yummy. Had the chocolate truffle dessert to-go (because we had a bit of a drive ahead of us) and it was delicious, completely devoured it in the car.
First time there we will be going back food service and price were excellent
Great food & service .. would like to see more food
Wonderful service and the food was fabulous.
Always amazing food and great atmosphere. The ahi tuna nachos are incredible. Happy they are back on the menu.
My first time there, but will not be my last!
The service, food and drinks were outstanding!!
I ordered the surf and turf. The filet came out just a little undercooked to my liking.
The chef came out and apologized and graciously took it back to the kitchen to cook it a little more.
Not only did it come out cooked perfectly, but was accompanied with lobster claw meat and roasted vegetables!
The Hamilton is my new go to place while in the Saylorsburg area!!
Amazing food & service . I would recommend to all my friends
Love this gem in Saylorsburg . My favorite meal is the Chilean Sea bass.
Unfortunately we were seated at the same time as a table of 17 people. As a result, the service suffered greatly. We received our appetizers after our entrees were served and drinks from the bar were slow to arrive at the table. Our entree was served hot, and the food was excellent, however the expectation of a smooth Thanksgiving dinner served as described on the menu was not achieved. The chef did come to the table and offered his apologies and only charged us for 2 rather than 3 dinners. As this was not the normal experience we have had in the past when dining here, we will continue to patronize the establishment in the hopes that we will not have the same type of service.
Very good food, interesting menu, well-spaced tables
The food and service is amazing. The Ahi tuna nachos are an explosion of flavor in your mouth.
Dinner was Excellent!! I recommend the Seafood Risotto and the Lamb 1/2 rack!!
Our waiter (lily ann/Lilian) was very attentive and knowledgeable! We was only in a town for a few and enjoyed discovering this place!
We visited on a Saturday evening during COVID-19. The restaurant was fairly full, mostly older people. The waitress, who looked about 15, messed up our order — didn’t put in the appetizers, and then when we asked after 40 minutes about where our food was, she barely apologized and said that our entrees are almost ready and we can have more bread in the meantime. Seriously?! It took the entrees another 10 minutes at least, by that point we were hungry and cranky. My short ribs were delicious but small. My daughter’s fillet was burnt on the outside and bitter. My husband’s lamb shank was good. When we commented on the fillet bring pretty bad she again didn’t say much... the “soufflé” is just you’d old hot chocolate cake, not even molten inside.
Overall very disappointing.
First, it was a rainy, cold night that I went to this restaurant. My wife and I came to the Poconos to celebrate my birthday- 10/16, we stayed in Lake Harmony but I found this restaurant on Open Table. This restaurant was located in Saylorsburg off of a lake and upon arrival lowered expectation due to rural setting - keep in mind we were from the NYC Area. We were quickly greeted by the host who sat us immediately at a socially distanced table- greatly appreciated. The food is superior and pleasantly delicious, I had chilean sea bass and my wife had bacon wrapped chicken. My fish was well cooked and had a good balance of moistness and taste. Also I had the pork belly appetizer which was tasty as well. The chocolate flavored dessert was impressive but not too rich in flavor. Both my wife and I shared dessert and we enjoyed together. I would definitely recommend and plan to return on my next visit to the poconos.
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Good food nice menu raspberry jalapeño margaritas are great!
To say the service was terrible is an understatement. We kept having to remind the waitress that we needed water, or she would only fill 2 glasses leaving 2 empty. When we ordered drinks, she came back twice asking again what we wanted. We ordered appetizers and after getting the waitress's attention, reminded her we still needed to place our meal order (an hour later).
Large number of menu selections. Enjoyed having a large number of specials to choose from. Would like to see roasted baby brussels sprouts as an appetizer. The beef filet in the beef wellington was tender, flavorful, and well prepared. Soft shell crab appetizer was a pleasant surprise.
Ethan the winery and chef can out an dpoke with us. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and that we could dine outside. It was relaxed and enjoyable. We will return and found the qysliry very high.
A very good choice in the pick is.
There was a party of 6-8 people having a good time. So it was a little noisy. Our waitress was obviously new to the skill, but she got our drinks and the food order correct!!
Great menu. Expertly prepared and presented. It is fine dining in a casual atmosphere.
The food and service is fabulous. The margaritas are also fabulous! The menu is small however the do offer pub fare and entree’s so there’s a little something for everyone. We loved it!
The food was amazing! I had the pork and it was so tender it melted in your mouth! My husband had the stuffed chicken which online said crab but was mozzarella when we got there. Still delicious. They had not updated their online menu. Prices were a dollar or so more expensive when we got there than the previous menu. A glass of wine was $9 instead of $8. Overall a bit pricey but the food was really good. Would go back for a special occasion.
Had dinner here tonight with my husband. The Chilean Seabass and Pork Tenderloin were fantastic. My martini was delicious and the service was top notch.
Food was great, bartend was awesome. Really nice and comfortable inside
Great staff, very friendly & amazing food! The pork just melts in your mouth. Dessert was delicious as well. They had acoustic guitar playing for the evening, was lovely music.
Service was very nice and timed well. Oysters on the half shell were excellent. Everyone that ordered the scallops entree loved it, as well as the sea bass. The person who ordered the duck said it was good, but would go with the scallops or sea bass next time. Those that ordered the salmon and chicken both commented they were a little overdone/dry. The vegetable napoleons and tuna nachos were a hit. Overall our party of 8 had a lovely time and are happy to have a place like The Hamilton in our area without having to drive to Easton or Bethlehem (or be overcharged).
We have had great entrees and really enjoy the menu. The wine list is really reasonable for bottles. And I love the frog leg appetizer.
