* The Iguana Restaurant is an open-air restaurant, that overlooks the city of Puerto Vallarta and serves contemporary Mexican cuisine in an elegant ambiance. Retractable walls take advantage of gentle coastal breezes and crystal chandeliers add soft light while water dances in the adjacent courtyard fountain. The dining room wraps around an outdoor patio with shady palms and another central fountain. In between is nestled the boutique Tequila Bar, serving a wide array of top-flight tequilas and mezcals.

    The service was outstanding. There always seemed to be someone there at the exact moment you needed them. The lamb was delicious and so was the short ribs. The mountain views was a nice backdrop to the restaurant, and the house is simply beautiful.

    For Michelin star - I really wanted to love this place. But it wasn’t great - in fact I have had significantly better meals elsewhere. The cerviche was very “fishy” tasting; the steak was pretty good but nothing special; vegetables were under cooked. And pork shank “decent”. Really wishing it would have been better as the ambience is amazing.

    Atmosphere is really beautiful! Staff is very helpful, efficient, professional and friendly. All the food was superb. To start we had pumpkin soup and the octopus. I am a fan of octopus and the chef did a great job. For the mains we enjoyed short ribs and fresh fish. The sauces were very tasty.

    Beautiful scenery. Very romantic. Highly aesthetic location and restaurant. Service was good. Food was good but underwhelming for the price. Was not a bad experience but would not recommend unless you value aesthetics over life-changing culinary experiences. Felt touristy and overhyped to me. Will not be returning.

    Service and ambiance were perfect. Food presentation was excellent but everyone had Something wrong. The shank was cold in the middle, the lobster was so tough it was hard to cut w a steak knife etc. Our bill was over 700 usd and the experience was great. Food taste needs improvement.
