The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
A number of tables remain unreserved throughout the day allowing more people to experience a taste of Ivy magic in both our dining and service. You will be able to sample our extensive range of quality food and delicious cocktails at your leisure, seven days a week from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident or work close by.
For those looking for a little something extra to celebrate with friends or impress at a business lunch, The Ivy Cobham Brasserie also offers a semi-private dining area, seating up to 12 people.
Attentive staff, nice atmosphere with a buzz not a drone and surprisingly good food—surprising in that it was much better than all our previous experiences in The Ivy chain. As a value for money proposition it showed Coppa up to be underwhelming and overpriced.
As Cobham residents we shall certainly be back—well done.
We had afternoon tea for a friends special birthday / the tea didn’t arrive until after the food had been there almost eaten. Three sandwiches wasn’t enough and four cakes for £27 and there was no offer of refill of tea / The staff were completely rushed off their feet and everything was delayed / not a great experience when usually it’s so good
We had such a nice experience. Beautiful food and gorgeous ambience.
This was the first time we have visited on a Sunday lunchtime and were pleased to see how lovely and busy and buzzy it was.
My very fussy brother in law said that his meal was the very best he had for a long time and both my sister and he loved it in The Ivy - their first visit.
The food was as always excellent and the service faultless.
Thank you very much for making my birthday so special with my Happy Birthday Profiterole - a very nice touch indeed!
First time trying The Ivy in Cobham having only been to The Ivy in Guildford & did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious food. Will definitely go back & highly recommend.
Perfect all round. Service 10/10. Food & drinks spectacular.
It was a lovely evening. The service was good and friendly. The food was delicious as was the wine. We will definitely be back.
Varied selection on the menu. Mostly well cooked.
Contrasting ambience. We were seated indoors by the entrance. The garden was much more lively. Would want the garden next time
I've eaten in the garden area twice and have to say think this is a really lovely space to sit - much more so than the bustling interior
We have dined at The Ivy Cobham on several occasions and they never fail to meet our expectations for the finest food and service.
Lovely setting but a little too close to other diners. Not much room on the table. Service could be slow at times. Great food but afternoon tea was a little expensive once you added a non-alcoholic drink each. Ended up at £40 per person which for what you got was bit steep in my opinion. Wouldn’t have afternoon tea again but happy to have something off the main menu.
Service was very good, but personally I was a bit underwhelmed by the food, although my companions liked theirs more so maybe I just made bad choices. I felt everything I had (salt and pepper squid - nicely cooked, not very salty or peppery; blackened cod - beautifully cooked fish but could have been more tasty, apple tart - actually the best dish), was ok, perfectly adequate, but just not very special or exciting. More seasoning, use of different spices, or ginger or something, would have been good!!
I had felt The Ivy Cobham had become a bit average. However yesterday’s visit was exceptional, great food, a new autumn menu with a few new additions and the sublime ‘chocolate bomb’ but above all it was our server ‘Robert’ who made the visit. I was surprised to hear it was his first week in the job as he had an old school, personable and very professional nature and it was illuminating to be served by someone who clearly enjoyed his job. He was so busy, but made us feel special still. He could teach a few others a thing or two about great service!! Thank you Robert. Keep doing what you are doing and being you!!
Booked a birthday lunch- had requested a table near the garden but was able to be setae outside… which was great but everything else went downhill from there.
Waited an hour for a 1 course meal which when it arrived was just very average- great place with the potential for so much more. Won’t return but have always had great ivy cafe experiences
We booked at this time to have breakfast in IVE but we discovered after settling down that the restaurant had removed the breakfast menu and replaced it with a Brunch menu which is not suitable for that time of the day, we were very upset.
It was lovely but I think the tables were a little too close considering we are still effectively in a pandemic situation. The food was nice and the caramel sticky toffee dessert was divine.
Location and food was perfect . Waiter was aloof , didn’t explain all the menus ( there were a few ) and wine took ages to come . His humour was limited abd made us feel like we were the poor guests. We treated ourselves as it was both our birthday treats and whilst we are not rich , we can afford to treat ourselves but we weren’t made to feel special . This spoilt our experience.
A warm welcome, great service and best ribeye steak ever! Thanks we'll be back.
Great food, service and the atmosphere was lovely.
Another outstanding meal, lovely sitting outside in the beautiful garden, not cold as heaters on. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and professional as always. Going back next week!
First visit back since covid, delightful setting outside, I thoroughly recommend. The Food was delicious as always
Booked afternoon tea to treat my daughter. The room quietened after larger groups of people left after having lunch.
Attentive service, food good, especially the sandwiches, we took most of the cakes in a box as couldn’t eat them at the time.
Would definitely book again
Very good lunch experience for two ladies meeting up. Parking, dare I mention, disappointing and we both used the public pay and display car park. Is there an opening for Valet parking, Los Angeles style?
Overall expensive for what it was had the rabbit and lauganstine pie not a proper pie and not seasoned at all disappointing
Service by Luca great
We dined here for my fathers 80th birthday. I wanted it to feel special and memorable for him. It didn’t disappoint. The staff were very kind, attentive and efficient. The food was as ever, beautifully presented and excellent quality. Would thoroughly recommend for any occasion. 😁
Very nice as usual but we didn't appreciate the table being cleared while we were still having coffee.
I chose Shepherds pie, was a miniscule baby portion, I felt short changed.
Very disappointed… not sure why the portion was so small, I didn’t quiz this at the time…..I just ate and spoke with my friend…it was her Birthday so went with it,,,just think for what they are charging it should be a bigger portion….would have been ok for a small child or a starter option….
On the other hand my friend had a very generous portion of fish and chips, she gave me her mushy peas to booster the plate!
Chairs were sticky on the arms and on the sides🙁
Daughter over from the states!
Very slow service. We waited for 20 minutes for drinks order to be taken. Over an hour for starters to arrive and then my son’s starter arrived late which meant we all ate our first course out of synch. The children were starving and we all became deflated eventually. No acknowledgement was made for the long wait. Another long wait for the mains. My daughter found a spider in her drink and while I can understand that these things happen sometimes, instead of going straight to an apology and offer of replacement, the initial response was defensive ‘we can’t control spiders’. That part was unnecessary and rubbed me up the wrong way especially since we had gone to some length to bring the matter to their attention discretely. We arrived at 6:30 and left at 9:00 without bothering with dessert because that was how long it took for us to be served 2 simple courses. Not the usual Ivy experience. Won’t be coming back to this outpost and will be a while before I book in any of the other branches. This was supposed to be a celebration of my husband’s birthday. He loves the Ivy and we have visited several branches over the past 20 years. While this was a particularly uncharacteristic experience for us at an Ivy restaurant, it does make me lose trust and I’ll find somewhere more reliable for special celebrations in future.
Great food. Service lacked a bit of attention to detail in terms of wine waiting, clearing glasses etc.
Excellent food and service as always
Afternoon tea which was excellent for an anniversary event
We have been to the Ivy Cobham about 6 times and have always enjoyed it. We decided to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary there we our family and unfortunately did not have such a good meal. The portions are smaller and my £39.00 Rib Beef was awful. Lots of sinew and no flavour.
I feel it's now over priced and over rated. Was a lot better before. What a shame.
The main course had clearly been sitting on the pass a bit too long as looked dry (lobster pasta and shepherds pie) Was ok once “stirred up” a bit so carried on as there to enjoy ourselves - but really not great at a place with such high standards to live up to. Should really not have served up.
Shame because good quality cooking and service by waiting team was good.
Will still keep going back but management be aware you’ve a clientele who understand what good looks like.
Always wonderful at Ivy Cobham! Great staff, food and atmosphere. Keep coming back.
Really fantastic and accommodating customer service from the team as we mentioned on the form we had a baby and were celebrating our anniversary. Lovely food. Highly recommended
well presented restaurant with very welcoming staff and not too intrusive.
fabulous food very reasonably priced for breakfast
thoroughly enjoyable, thank you
Love this place. We were lucky as moved to a quieter table away from bar and garden area. Still very noisy (breakfast) with 2 noisy children in our area. Food delicious. Couple of mistakes with order. I ordered toast and it arrived last and wrong item! It was simplest thing we ordered but arrived last! Expensive full English. Pot of Coffee could hv been a little stronger. I always ask for a quiet table as my husband is hard of hearing. This time there were 3 people with hearing problems. Each time when I arrive my request doesn’t seem to have got through! But staff always very helping. Overall very pleasant experience- will be back! Thank you to the wonderful staff. 🙂
Fantastic food, fantastic service & great ambience. Will be back very
I can’t fault the food or great happy service and we will certainly return if we can get booked in??
