Very expensive for what you get. There were 4 of us, and all just had 1 main meal each and 2 drinks each and the account was $398.00
While I'd recommend The Ivy to a friend for the food. The service was subpar at best. I waited tables for years in my early 20's and the service and attitude of the waiter was extremely weak. They need people with more personality and attention to detail. I shouldn't have to ask for a refill of my Ice tea or water. That's restaurant 101.
Fabulous all around. Loved it second time I will return.
I love the food, the drinks and atmosphere. I had said before said I will be back regardless of the waiters (all)being rude. I thought it was an Isolated incident but no I had the same experience
I came with a friends for a breakfast and it was so bad, and the service was the worst !
I’m definitely not going to come back
Although we made a reservation, they kept us wait about 30 min at least. Service was slow but the food was quite nice.
With my beloved wife. Greatest human ever.
Calling the Manager do to a horrible experience. klasflkajsvljaslfjalksdjlkasjflkajsdlkfjasdlkfjaslkdjflkasjdflkasjdflkasjflkjasdlkfjalksdjflkasjdflkasjf
Food was good, but it was so noisy and crowded (screaming babies and little kids included), that we couldn't even enjoy ourselves. Tables are way too close, service rushed, wait staff impersonal and not even an acknowledgement of my birthday (which I noted in the reservation).
Would never go back.
Whenever I come to LA, I must go to The Ivy 💕
Really delicious enjoyable experience as always. Being offered complimentary champagne because it was my birthday was totally unexpected and at least new to me. We shared the appetizer size Caesar salad which was good and enough to share. Our entrees were the salmon, fried chicken and filet mignon. Everything was very well liked. My filet was perfection, but 58 dollars seems a bit unnecessary.
This was my Best experience ever at the Ivy. From the complimentary champagne and strolling around looking at all the beautiful flowers and cute decor to our nice table sitting next to lots of other nice customers to the incredible waitstaff. Everyone was on their mark. The food was timely and delicious and perfectly prepared. Get the Ivy gimlet and you will not be disappointed especially in its presentation. I just can’t describe it but it was pretty incredible
We love The Ivy! Food is excellent, cocktails out of this world, service fabulous.
The food was amazing. The table set up was fabulous. The complimentary champagne prior to be seated was such a treat. The entire experience was completely worth it. May go again while we are still here in California.
Husband disliked his salad. Food is very expensive
We love the place! Beautiful day. Food and service top tier as usual. We look forward to our next visit! Cheers,
Visiting my son in Los Angeles and I wanted a special breakfast. The Ivy is the place to go. Spectacular setting, delicious food and the scones are fantastic. Loved receiving a glass of champagne when I walked in. The roses and the decor all tie it together.
Louder than usual tonight/ but that’s the diners not the restaurant. One thing we really live about The Ivy is the way they mix a simple cocktail (G&T for example) — at your table. Very classy.
Fantastic food and service.
Food was good not extraordinary
The food was great, the environment was unique and beautiful customer service was definitely a no. I was waiting for a good 20-30 minutes for my tab my host never came back and sent someone else 🙄
Hands down one of the best dining experiences in weho, I was shocked at how great the service/food was.
I read some of the reviews on OT before our visit, and must say that I don't agree with the many negative comments. Our service was great and prompt. Food was delicious with layers of flavor. Loved the vibe, flowers and overall opulence of The Ivy. Wine list was perfect - and included many of my favorite California wines that I don't typically see on east cost menus. I would highly recommend and visit again.
It was everything I expected it to be
Went for my birthday. Such a wonderful experience!
Be prepared for high prices for your meal. They offer a nice touch of complimentary champagne as you wait for your table. We were presented with freshly made scones and delicious raspberry jam. The dishes are tasty but not exceptional, especially when you compare the prices. It is all about the ambiance and the idea that you MIGHT see a celebrity or two. The decor is random, each room has its own vibe. I like the outdoor seating area, although on this particular day it was quite warm, so it was nice we were seated inside. The wait staff are all very accommodating and attentive.
Beautiful dining rooms, delicious food, attentive professional service, though a bit rushed. Definitely a keeper.
A special Saturday evening early dinner to celebrate our return to Los Angeles. The service. was rather rushed, and the first and second course was on the table within less that 40 minutes. If we hadn't taken our time eating the food we would have been out within the hour. The fishcakes are the BEST though.
Always the best food, service and ambient dining experience in Los Angeles! A great treat for out of town guests and business partners.
The Ivy on Robertson is one of LAs upscale restaurants that literally failed us from the first glass of Complimentary Champagne. My Cousin was in town and she had left it up to me to decide where to eat Boa or the Ivy, I chose the Ivy. Upon entering the Champagne are She had a glass poured and was attempting to take a picture for her marketing purposes and the server said "Dont Photograph Me"!!! Since when is a server that important to be in our photographs??? So once he said that it totally turned her palate off. The Next bad experience came from the same server, he sat to ladies next to us and my other halfs purse was sitting on the bench and this kid says Maam! and with his eyes looks at her LV and gestures to move her Purse. Like these two grown women couldnt figure out their LV Purse situations on their own. The next Situation we had was 2 times once we arrived i had reiterated this was a bday celebration once we are done bring the cake and sparklers. We finished dinner No cake, I ordered Key lime Pie at it STILL No cake keeping in mind this was a Bday Surprise....the cake didnt come until I made a stink about it and asked what was going on the Mgr Bryan stated it was his fault it hadnt come out in a timely manner....well it finally came it wasnt a surprise moment totally watered down. Next bad experince was i had to stand and ask for bill....then about 15 min later i had to stand and wave bill in air to pay it, and THEN OUR SERVER left work he had an emergency with his kid and the mgr told us about his kid being sick with lead poisoning etc....in which i felt bad but didnt really care to here all of that all that i was looking for was i apologize this is your new server your previous server had to leave for a family emergency so in short the IVY Robbertson failed us miserably even Chilis lets us know when there is a server change.
I reserved this table for my daughters birthday on her actual birthday. I live out of state and I sent a message and called to let them know. I asked for desert to be sent as well.
The staff went to my daughters table announcing if you want cake a slice of cake is 22.00!
So she being respectful declined.
Not one person acknowledged her for her birthday!
She was disappointed at the lack of personal service and just pushing her thru to deliver the check.:( as she dined there 2 years ago and had a completely different experience. Cake, candle, etc!
Lunch was basic pasta bowl tomato sauce with noodles and each girl had a glass of wine
Check was over 160.00!
And no-one took the time or effort to wish my daughter a happy birthday or personalize her experience.
Also servers hovered to rush them to finish and my daughter and best friend felt rushed so ate quickly and left!
I’m so angry at this and will never book there again!!!!!!!
Great food and place!
My daughter and I went today for her birthday lunch and the entire experience was top notch. They were so attentive and nice. The food was delicious and came out so fast! What a treat to have a glass of champagne to start the meal. I had the vegetable salad with lobster and my daughter the pasta. The scones to start were so good and they brought out a birthday dessert plate that was so amazing! Definitely would go back!
Visiting LA for the first time
Best restaurant ever
Amazing staff! Absolutely the best experience in town for a nice breakfast
Service is really bad, the lobster pasta I received has no taste at all! Will never come back again, the server never asked how’s everything due to service industry, all the other restaurant i have been to had asked me
Beautiful dinner and we were greeted with a glass of bubbly. The service was prompt and lovely.
We drive from Manhattan Beach just to enjoy The Ivy. We have never been disappointed. What a spectacular meal, can't beat the service. Just great.
Both Ivy and Ivy at the shore in Santa Monica are great, although I like Ivy better for the location and ambience and the fact it is slightly less of tourist place. Restaurant business is tough and truth be told, if a restaurant is around for many years - there is a reason for it. No amount of hype or fluffy stuff can sustain many years of competition- the first order of business for restaurant, it has to taste good and Ivy does, always. And then the ambience and the location on top of, makes it one of the all time great. I almost hesitate to review it because I don’t want the tourist to flood this place, but I also want to be fair and give shout out to the great ones - as much as calling out the bad ones.
