The Ivy Winchester Brasserie offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, holding back a number of tables each day for locals, visitors and passers-by wishing to drop in at their leisure
Very good service from very attentive and welcoming staff.
Food was really excellent and well presented. I will certainly be booking again and recommending to friends and colleagues
Fabulous meal, great atmosphere, overall a super celebration meal.
Great food and all the staff were superb…Really professional and friendly.
It was a lovely atmosphere, busy but the staff were still attentive. The decor is just beautiful and the food was divine.
Birthday! It was amazing beautiful place nice food and very attentive staff.
First visit to The Ivy, what a brilliant evening, will be booking again soon.
Excellent food and service, even though it was a busy Saturday evening.
Wonderful time at the Ivy, fabulous food and service excellent
Perfect, visited for my birthday. Will return and recommend to others!
Brilliant experience for my 30th birthday. We had an afternoon tea. Thank you!
The cream tea was the least enjoyable I have ever had in a quality restaurant.
It cost over £60 for a medioca selection of food. The service was almost non existent once the tea had been served. Very poor value for money.
My wife and I were planning dinner there later but we will not be visiting the Ivy again
Absolutely amazing fantastic well worth a visit I’ve booked again
Great food, great service.
Will highly recommend.
Can’t wait to go back.
From first walking in the door, the staff were polite. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was impeccable. We had afternoon tea and the food was exceptional, the cocktails were amazing and we enjoyed the personal touch with the happy birthday profiterole at the end of our afternoon. A super happy lady had a fantastic birthday; we will be returning to dine again.
The only downside was that we would of liked to of been given the choice on our service charge fee, but that said I would of happily left a healthy tip for our time there.
Probably the best service we have ever encountered in a restaurant. Medina our waitress was friendly & professional. Observing the team all doing their roles was like watching a swiss watch they a need each other to work. The food, drinks ,& service was excellent. Well done, Team Ivy. Thank you.
Delicious food, stylish restaurant and 5 star service. Only slight criticism is that the portions were on the small side for the premium prices, however, I am a particularly big eater!
Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and remained attentive, polite and courteous. The food and drinks were sublime the atmosphere was relaxed and intimate and the toilets... Well you'll just have to visit to see them.
It was my friends birthday and previously a little chocolate tart has been given - it wasn’t, a little disappointing but that’s ok.
My extra hot wet latte was just a normal latte, with froth, disappointing.
And my poached eggs were hard boiled - as my friends were too, but they made fresh ones when I said which was good.
The server seemed new, but was pleasant enough.
I’ve been to The Ivy many times and this visit was poor.
Always a delight to begin the day with breakfast at The Ivy. One of the reliable things in life! Sat outside in the late summer sunshine with my daughter and new (well behaved) Labrador pup. All my favourites things in one place. Thank you x
Great venue , staff we’re very helpful and would highly recommend
A lovely evening, food was amazing and we were well looked by Henry. My only criticism is that the tables were to close together
Great evening, the service was first class and the food could not be better.
As always, difficult to fault, however one of the plates was chipped which should have been noticed. For some reason it was noisy, not Ivy's fault, perhaps people were just happy to be out. We ate from the set menu and the main menu and everything was high quality but the set mains were, for the first time, rather limited in scope.
The drinks were rather expensive, 10.95 for a gin and tonic and 9.95 for a glass of wine but overall 4.5 stars. (Service was good, although we had to ask for the set menu and were pushed to place our order which to be honest made us feel a bit like we shouldn't be choosing it.) Minor things, we still love eating at The Ivy.
Took my girls to you for the first time. They absolutely loved it. Great service, food and experience. Will definitely be back without a doubt! 🙂
We had a lovely meal here for my sister's graduation celebration. The restaurants decor is beautiful particularly the ladies toilets. The staff were very attentive. The food was very nice and great value for the 3 course set meal. I have already recommended to my family.
Arrived for a late lunch pre booked table.
Front of house lady a little frosty as we arrived 10 mins before our booking but waitress beside her was perfect and took us to our table.
We were then attended to by a very charming waiter. He brought us all of the many menus but beware, he did not bring over the special lunch one and I had to ask twice for it.
Our food from the special menu was lovely and I would strongly recommend it. I have an allergy to chilli and so they were able to accommodate that.
As we were later in the afternoon we were not rushed at all which was nice as read reviews of the tables being abruptly cleared for other patrons whilst diners still eating after the 1.5 allocated time!
A nice dining experience.
Had a lovely meal, helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely be recommending to friends
Our second visit and yet again terrific food. We will be back
This is a top restaurant with top service. You get what you pay for in life I think!
Really efficient but friendly staff. Found out that it was our wedding anniversary and brought out a really tasty chou bun. Lovely lunch. Thank you.
Perfect in every way. Delicious food, impeccable service, and a beautiful setting. We shall be eating there again.
As usual everything was very good thats one of the reasons I love the Ivyits cpnsistent
Very enjoyable lunch with great service and atmosphere
Good customer service and I would love to visit Ivy again.
Food and service was excellent. It was noisy and rather packed. For some reason there was no toilet paper in the loos! A good experience which we shall try again.
Lovely food as usual at the Ivy, a favourite place to eat.
My brother in law’s birthday
Our lunch at the Winchester Ivy was great, very tasty food with wonderful, knowledgable but unobtrusive service from Jasmine and Jack. We very sad and disappointed to see my husband’s beloved Rum Baba has disappeared from the menu though - please bring back The Baba!!
The staff were so attentive and made so much effort to wish my friend happy birthday.
The food was incredible so tasty and overall the atmosphere was great.
Another wonderful evening enjoyed at this fantastic restaurant. We always receive first class service here and I highly recommend The Ivy.
The only point I would make is that the Aromatic Duck Curry would benefit from some additional sauce.
Thank you once again for the lovely Anniversary surprise you presented to us and for the amazing post dinner cocktails!
If you are visiting Winchester then book a table here (notice required) as it’s a truly special dining experience.
