the crab dip did not taste like crab at all. The amount of bearnaise in the "Oscar" plate was ridiculous (barely 2 TBSP) and served on the steak ans the seafoods directly (it used to be served beside) The cheescake was way too sweet (I also tasted of the brownie - tasted like a cheap desert) - drinks were just OK and the mashed potatoe tasted like a mix of fresh and powdered (instant) ones. Steak was good, not great. Not the restaurant fault, but they was also some issue with our gift cards - They tried to relsolve it (took a while) but were not able. I could call the Keg the "St Hubert" of Steak houses. Out of price and juste OK.

Le tout était excellent, par contre j'étais du coté bar et je trouvais la musique forte. Je ne comprend pas le pourquoi d'une musique aussi forte!! ce n'est pas une piste danse après tout, nous avions de la difficulté a s'entendre et devons nous aussi parle plus fort. Mais bon ca doit être moi qui se fait vieux hihi..

We had a fantastic time. The service was great. My partner really enjoyed his steak. I had the vegetarian meatloaf and it was like eating pure salt. But everything else was lovely.

If you are looking to eat at a great Steakhouse, The Keg is the place to go. The appetizers, the Filet Mignon and the twice baked potato are just incredibly delicious and the service is 2nd to none. We truly enjoyed our supper experience last night.

Food was excellent. For starters we ordered the Spinach Parmesan Dip and the Tuna Tartar and they were both excellent. Tuna was very fresh. For our main meals we had the Keg Burger and Steak & Shrimp. Both very good. The steak and shrimp plates was full of cooked vegetables and the steak was cooked to perfection just the way I like it. We recommend this restaurant. Staff was attentive and well spoken.

La serveuse nous a demandé si on était déjà venues puis on allait répondre et elle nous a coupé puis a commencé à dire tout son speech robotique, après on commande une purée de pomme de terre moi et mon amie, elle revient et dit qu’il y en avait pas puis met l’assiette entre nous après elle me le met dans ma facture à moi quand on l’avait mangé ensemble. Elle se soucie pas pas des clients. Nous a même pas offert de dédommagement. Après quand Cets pour payer j’ai laissé la monnaie sur la y’a le et elle a juste dit ça Cets pour moi puis la pris de la table bref on retourne plus c’est sur . On avait demandé à l’entrée si il y avait tout dans le menu pour pas rentrer pour rien. Il y était supposé avoir des calamars puis il y en avait pas decue ..

We had planned to eat with friends… months ago. Happen to be on a special week for both couple! Eating at the Keg feels like we are treating ourselves and that it was well deserved. The waitresses was genuinely good at her work and it did add to the experience.

With a few exceptions it's rare I'll go to a chain steakhouse even a high end one. The Keg was unbelievable. The ambience was in keeping with Old Port Montreal. The servers were friendly and attentive. Their recommendations were spot on. I couldn't decide between two entrees and the server had a logical reason for picking one over the other. Given the early dining hour the prime rib will be at its rarest. Sold! I wasn't in any way disappointed. I don't usually comment on pricing but the total for dinner was actually quite reasonable given that we ordered the top end entrees as well as apps. Good Job on every level.
