From beginning to end our experience was excellent. We are on vacation and luckily chose among many options to dine here. The hostess surprised us with a complimentary shrimp cocktail after our very pleasant and efficient waitress Vanessa discovered we had never dined at a Keg restaurant. From the salmon to the filet mignonette, everything was perfectly prepared.

If you are looking for a good steakhouse, look no further than the Keg in Montreal. The service was impeccable! When I was being seated, the host asked if I had any allergies (which I do). They made sure twice to inform both the server and the kitchen of my allergy. 1st time there and they comped a yummy shrimp cocktails. The portions are large, the salad could easily feed 3 people. All in all, a great meal and they didn't bat an eye that I was dining alone.

Lounge music is a bit loud for the dining area, but I was there during happy hour so that may affect the volume levels. It was packed, but the service was fast and the food well prepared. On the minus side, beer selection is rather poor, and some fairly standard steakhouse items (i.e., Steak Frites) have been removed from the menu.

The service was good. It didn't take too long to get our food and we were given some really good bread while we waited. The portions were large, I barely finished mine and my friend couldn't finish hers. It was well worth the money.

Everything was really good on my plate but the steak was over cooked I said medium well but the steak come out well done. My brother ordered his steak medium well and his was perfectly done. So I’m not sure what happened with mine.
