Great brunch location
The only slightly negative part of our dining experience was the bartender who waited on us, while we were waiting for our table. Our party had a few questions re: some of their signature drinks and the bartenders responses were very condescending, as if we were bothering him. The four of us were all a little taken back. The bartender was new to, behind the bar, as I heard him tell the customer sitting next to us. That was not a great first impression to the service, but everyone else made up for it and the food was amazing!
Loved The Love. My first time there (I was celebrating my birthday) and found it delicious and the service outstanding. The cheese plate was amazing (although might have preferred less crusting abc more jam/fruits). All appetizers, entrees and desserts were superb. We were with another couple at a table. My friend sitting across from me at the table found it too noisy but I had no issue hearing anyone in our party or the servers. Highly recommend.
Robert was wonderful & very attentive! The vibe was energetic. Our meal was delicious fried tomatoes & fried buttermilk chicken yum!!! We will definitely be back ❤️
We had a wonderful birthday dinner. Everything was top notch and our server was very attentive. Highly recommend the Parker House rolls to start. We both had the autumn pumpkin soup that was excellent. I enjoyed the filet and my wife tried and really enjoyed the spaghetti with lobster (lots of lobster in the dish). It was a very enjoyable evening.
The food was really good and you definitely get enough for the price you're paying. We dined for brunch and the prime rib roast sandwich was "out of bounds!" Potatoes were nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, and I love how they serve a little side salad with it. Perfect balance across the whole plate. We also enjoyed the chowder which was delightfully split into two bowls without an extra charge. The tuna melt enjoyed by other party members was filling and delicious as well. Atmosphere was right and service was perfect. A must go!
Nice place for brunch, with good food, but a bit expensive.
Special birthday brunch - loved it !
Staff was great ! Food was awesome !
Can’t wait to go back !
The Love provided an outstanding experience! The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was seasoned perfectly, leaving us wanting more! Parking was easy with a short walk to the Restaurant. I would highly recommend visiting The Love any time!
Bustling Friday evening. Seated half hour after reservation time, but no biggie, good cocktail to pacify us. Fortunate to get a corner table with cushions, so comfy dining. Sweet waitress (can't remember her name :/). I had the halibut which was awesome! My friends had the salmon and fried chicken. They loved as well. The warm Madelines are to die for. We had a great evening. It is expensive, but worth it.
Loved it! We had the best meal. Service was excellent and super helpful with suggesting dishes. We were a group of 4 and tried about 10 different dishes. It came to about $140 a girl with tip and drinks. Not bad in retrospect. Each dish was excellent. The only underwhelming dish was fried green tomatoes. The best were definitely the salmon poke, mushroom toast, short rib pasta, and the halibut. The filet was good too. I need to go back to try the duck salad.
Great service. The other couple that was meeting us was late. In spite being very busy they were accommodating. Food was excellent. Restaurant was a bit noisy. Enjoyable atmosphere and meal.
Great Place!! Never disappoints. Staff awesome! Awesome cheese board
Lovely ambience, excellent bbq ribs, perfect veggies, wonderful wines, attentive service. It was noisy when we were first seated so some attention to acoustics would be helpful in the dining room. Otherwise, we enjoyed it immensely.
One of my favorite lunch places in the city.
I love the homey feel of this place . I definitely would return to try more dishes. The salmon poke was amazing. The Hot and Sour Halibut was outstanding! The pumpkin ice-cream dessert was bland but the flavor of the ice cream was very good (especially with an Irish coffee). Our server was very knowledgeable and spot on with suggestions. Wines were marked up a bit and not to my palate but I did find a moderately priced one I liked.
We enjoy The Love. The food was delicious, scallops were flavorful and well prepared. Dessert was the best!!! I’ve cream butterscotch and cashews. Caitlin, our server, was wonderful, pleasant and informative. Brian, the GM was responsive and interested in our comments. My only suggestion is to improve the cheese board- too many crostini and I would want it to be similar to those at talula’s garden. We’ll be back:)
The staff is nothing short of amazing here at The Love! Could eat her morning, noon and night!
Food was amazing! Thank you!
smoked branzino is best whole fish I have had anywhere-to me better then the best dover sole I have had--actually came with 4 friends and had again to see if they could replicate two nites in a row--they did--the poke was awesome as well
We had a fabulous family dinner with our Daughters and Maro was our server. He made us feel very special. The Love is now our favorite Philadelphia restaurant
The food here is always delicious, fresh and generous. But something was off on Sunday night. When we arrived, no one offered to take our coats, so we took them to the table and hung them over our chairs. And drinks took forever. Both rounds. It clearly was not our server - she was delightful. But seriously, how long does it take to pour a glass of wine? Not the usual Stephen Starr experience. But still a great meal
Great food and service. Tons of vegetarian choices. Dessert offerings felt weak. Excellent beer and cider options.
It was a bit loud because we were seated near a party of 12.
I will definitely go back.
Fried green tomatoes with pimento cheesr👍🏾
Food was very good. Go for the crispy duck salad alone. It's worth the trip. Reasonably priced for the quality
Great service and food. Always great!
The service was excellent but the food was mediocre at best.
LOVE The Love!! Continue to make it our favorite Sunday Brunch spot in the city!
Great experience will definitely be back again and again
We loved everything we had from drinks, apps, entrees and dessert. Just a little pricey for my taste but I would go back.
Great food Great Service. Perfect for an anniversary dinner.
My mom came to visit me in the city and this was a great lunch spot! Yummy cocktails too!
SUPERB! Ambiance-amazing. Staff-kind and conscientious. Food-delicious. Loved the Crudités with Green Goddess, the ribs and the “Lovebird.” Also. the best Sazerac I have had outside of New Orleans!
My daughter and I really enjoyed our dinner at The Love. We are vegetarian, and I have an allergy to sesame. Our server, Christine, was excellent; very patient and thorough. We had a delicious pumpkin soup and a stuffed acorn squash entree and vegetable plate that were fantastic. Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Philly.
From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing!
To top it off, the food. Yummm! Would 100% recommend this place. The price wasn’t too bad at all. 100 bucks included a $17 drink, two entrees and an app! Pretty happy with our experience! Our waitress was adorable and sparked up a good convo. Her name was Lauren! Can’t wait to visit again!
The duck in the duck salad was possibly the best duck I've ever had. The rest of the salad complimented the fine fowl. The smoked Bronzino was different from other preparations I've had and was unexpectedly superb. A lovely place with great attentive service.
This was a wonderful dining experience! Servers were skilled professionals, and our waiter had a great personality. Each dish was appealing, and everyone in our group of 6 loved every app and entree. Wine was on the pricier side, but we enjoyed a local special. I regret being too full for dessert!
The food and service were exceptional! We will definitely go back.
We are loyal to Talulah's Garden but had a reason to celebrate on a Monday night. So glad we ventured here - every dish we ate was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was wonderful.
First time at the Love. It was absolutely terrific! Food and service were outstanding. Can not wait to go back.
