We had booked a table for 11 adults and 1 child, received confirmation that would be ok. When we got there the table was only for 9, when we asked the staff member on getting extra seats as per our booking, they said there was nothing they could do and they wanted to split our party up into two groups in order to accomodate. The staff member really had zero care factor and said we just had to deal with it.

Terrible service. QR code ordering was the only option. Advised mains would be 40 min wait, but they came while we were still eating starters. Food was bland and overpriced.

Food was not that good with parts of my meal stale. Can’t pay for food at the bar unless you have cash but you can get a drink and use a card. What’s that all about.

Food took ovr an hour and half to arrive and we had to order via the app which is painful cause you don't have the option of speaking to a waiter at all. Nice place but the food when it did come out was cold and the service wasn't great.

Normally enjoy the food at James Squire but this experience in Broadbeach was underwhelming. We both ordered the BBQ pork ribs which were serve warm and seemed reheated. The coleslaw was off and neither of us could eat it. The chips also average floating in gravy and the 5 small onion rings very below par. Would not eat here again for the cost of the meal. I did inform staff and there was no attempt to rectify.

We have been to the Lucky Squire about a year ago and loved it. This time was completely different. The restaurant has adopted an "Ap-only" ordering system with no hard-copy menus available and no wait-staff. So it's impossible to ask questions about the meals or request things like sequence of meals, sharing or a pause between courses. There were 4 of us and the meals arrived sporadically over a 20 minute period with some of us close to finishing before other's meals arrived. I you're the kind of person that dislikes human interaction and don't care how or when the food arrives with guests recieving meals randomly, you will love it. On the positive, we could order drinks at the bar when we wanted them and the food was mostly delicious with very generous portions. But, we won't be returning until they reinstate a normal service model which used to be superb bubbly, helpful and engaging wait-staff.

We could not hear each other talk due to the trivia night that was happening next door to the dining . The staff turned the speaker down and was much better , but was still very loud and annoying.

This is a great location to have a birthday or event at as there’s booths and a quieter dining area inside and a busy atmosphere outside. The food was alright- my friends had steaks which they said were 10/10, my partners pizza was good but nothing special 6.5/10 and I’m a vegetarian so there weren’t many options and I got the gnocchi which was yum but again nothing I would be racing back to get 6.5/10. My friends and I had a good time there, there was some acoustic music but at 8pm they were playing kind of soft tone songs that were making us sleepy, especially paired with some beers. Something more upbeat would have been great especially for a Friday night. I would book here again for a birthday as it’s a nice venue and a very close walk to the casino and bars in Broadbeach :)
