You need to put my review in context, I was a regular customer at the old Prime Rib. Perfect place for a business meeting. So, having somebody fly in for a meeting, on a Sunday, I figured, haven’t been there yet so let’s go! Huge mistake. First, the place is a chaotic noisy wreck. No carpeting and an acoustic nightmare. The old Prime Rib had no TV’s to speak of. This might as well be a sports bar. Add to that all the drunk bodies laying all over the place because the Eagles game let out and, well, if it’s any indication of what this place is like on any game day… thanks but no thanks and never again. Then while we’re waiting for our car, we were accosted by another drunk game day’r trying to bumb a cigarette. Really? And this isn’t even the worst part. The prices were a joke. $27 hamburger. $56 cut of Prime Rib. And the food is mediocre. Like somebody bought the name but forgot to get the chef. Just did not feel right in the least. No way this is the Prime Rib. And it’s sad because I had such high hopes. So, where would I refer a friend or family member if the asked the top 3 steakhouses in Philly? 1. STEAK 48 | 2. HUGO’s | 3. Del Fresco’s on broad. The old Prime Rib used to be #1. The casino is no Borgata. Not even as nice as the Nugget or even Rivers. I still managed to let my wife lose &100 on slots and our business partner $200 at blackjack. So mission accomplished Live. If what you are looking for one visit. And a bad review.
Our server was fabulous. The food was Devine. You get what you pay for! Quality! Amazing will definitely go back if in town again.
My wife of 30 years and I were having a night out at Philly Live and while at the Prime Rib we were accused of stealing one of the square things that the silverware sit on. We were told we had to have it because they could not find it and if we didn't return it we would be charged $25.00. We informed them we had no idea what they were talking about and went on with our meal. Then the Man proceeded to watch us and hover around like we were going to try and take the other one I guess. Either way that was the only bad part of out night out and we moved on, we just won't go back to the Prime Rib.
Love the brunch here! Nicole our waitress was great as well as the whole staff.
This restaurant is pricey but worth every penny the service was above and beyond every dish from appetizers, dinner and desert was fantastic I can't wait to go back FYI the crab cakes are the best I've ever had
Sadly, this is not the same Prime Rib that used to be in Center City. The food was mediocre, but the service was impeccable. Overall, we had a very nice experience, we were just expecting the same high-quality food as the restaurant in Center City and Baltimore.
Food and service was excellent. It was also nice having a piano player/singer. You dont find that much anymore.
I went with a good friend of mine and besides the absolute most delicious foods & desserts, our waitress, Daria, was so knowledgeable and down to earth she made the experience absolutely More amazing. The live music was great, especially since I’m usually not a fan. Overall would recommend for any occasion.
The caviar set up a joke...and the caviar not fresh. Filet too carded on the outside for medium rare inside. First bad meal ever there...and with my
Bill alone for one person...I should have had to flag down the bartenders to refill my champagne...I am in the industry and still tipped 30%. Had to be an odd night and new staff.
Food was very good and service was also for the most part. We did order a round of drinks in between appetizers and our steaks, that were not delivered until we were basically finished our meals. It's also absurd how hard it is to use comps here. They have to make it easier for the wait staff to use the various types of comps the casino offers its players.
Food was amazing!
Our waitress was Alissia and as always went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!! She is passionate & sweet to all her customers & she made sure our meal was cooked to perfection and that we enjoyed ourselves. It was a very difficult time for me losing my dad and she didn’t know but just made me smile & forget about reality for a couple of hours. Definitely something that I needed. Thank you Alissia for always making it special for us!!
Beautiful everything even our server I forget his name
Great food! Best steak ever eaten!! Awesome customer service
The food was excellent!!! Our waiter was awesome! I’ll be back!!
Daria was an awesome server!!!
Our waiter was awesome. All of the wait staff were very nice
Would have been a 5 star experience with a different server. Our order wasn't placed correctly and everything went downhill from there.
We went there for brunch was our first time there it was absolutely delicious from the avocado toast whith poached eggs plus eggs Benedict and great cocktails
Beautiful meal. A little surprised the waiter did not know what sugar free maple is.
Restaurant needs to get sugar free syrup for diabetics to enjoy French toast.
Food and service was excellent! A bit pricy but overall, the experience was great!!
The Prime Rib restaurant was excellent!!! My husband's steak was cooked to perfection. My Chilean Sea Bass was delicious. The service was impeccable. Everyone from the manager on down was very friendly and attentive. Our server Nicole and Edward were fantastic. We will most certainly be back very soon.
I want to start by saying the waitstaff and customer service at this place was really good and accommodating but the food however was not. The request for medium well was absolutely well done. Both times. The crab cakes weren’t that good so the manager offered me the suggestion to have the sea bass, also not quite tasty. There was also a hiccup with the steak selection the waiter mixed up our selection and placed an order for the $90 porterhouse steak(I’m not gonna lie I don’t know what cut of steak is what once it’s bought out charbroiled well done) I think I wouldn’t have mind paying if the steak was cooked to the temperature in which we requested. So instead of charging us for the steak we ordered the manager comes over and offers us a steak to go for the mishap. I was treating my so our for his birthday so he was ok with that deal. We open the bag and here lies another dry well done SALTY piece of steak, alongside in the carry out the not so tasty sea bass. The wedge salad and the asparagus were good. But maybe the chef was just having a bad day. If it were not for the customer service of the rest I would have pressed more for the bill adjustment but the staff tried their best to accommodate so I just paid the tab and we went back to our room
The food was good overall. I expected the food to come out quickly since their was a few customers in the restaurant. The food was out later than excepted and not warm. The service was good but a little slow.
Everything was very good. I will certainly go back.
My husband and I come here frequently and always love it, but this time was very different. We had such a difficult time getting there because there were issues with the elevators in the casino, and I also left my ID home. When I called the restaurant to ask how to get to the entrance without going into the Casino the person laughed and said “you can’t get in then”, and placed me on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. I finally hung up and my husband and I found the entrance on our own, 25 minutes after our reservation time. Our waitress didn’t come to our table for at least 10 minutes on what I considered a fairly calm night. She then told me that I could not order a martini because the restaurant did not accept photographs of identification cards(I had my son send me a picture from home). Our food took forever to come out. My lamb chops were charred, asparagus was cold, and no one even came to our table to ask us how our night was going. I had the worst dining experience and have vowed to never come back.
Overpriced food that’s not even that good my steak was cold my Pepsi was flat they had no steak sauce at a steak house best thing was the Mac and cheese I will never go back do itself a favor and skip this one
Another amazing meal at The Prime Rub. The staff, service and decor is the best. The live music was wonderful!
Filet and scallops were delicious. Wedge salad had brown spots. Surprised a fine dining establishment let this leave the kitchen.
Excellent service and food
Both the hostess Jules and our server Daria were great
Great service energy from the staff was awesome will be returning
Excellent restaurant! Bit pricey but food was out of this world, steaks cooked to perfection and service outstanding and attentive to your needs. Nice place to go for a special occasion.
Undercooked lobster tail, steaks were served well done when ordered medium rare. Lamb chops are advertised as Colorado lamb but are most definitely not domestic, and also overcooked. Also, not many options when it comes to appetizers. No raw bar. Service was slow
Service was great and the restaurant was beautiful, however my $30 entree was stone cold and be careful bc they charge more then what was priced on the menu. Also they don’t include everything stated on the menus…
The noise level as we first walked in was very high. If you’re expecting a nice intimate dinner this is not your spot. The prices were extremely high. I got the $57 ribeye (no bone) asked for it medium. It was under cooked and very tough. The dessert we ordered was a flourless chocolate cake and it very dry and inedible. The service wasn’t too bad. I will not be returning.
Celebrating a friends birthday. The ambience was nice. They had a pianist live music. The meal was delicious lamb chops steak- ribeye, baked potatoe, asparagus, and fries. Appetizer we had crab cake, colossal shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque. We left feeling so stuff with our doggie bags. I recommend for any occasion or if you want a delicious meal with a great ambiance.
Food and service was amazing!… Just wish they could enforce a dress code for people who don’t understand getting dressed up to go out to dinner.
We went for the bubbles and pearls Wednesday happy hour. The oysters were amazing, and the waitress was very knowledgeable! Can’t wait to come back!
Dinner was terrific. It was a little pricey. The service was excellent as well
