The River Deck Cafe
Nestled in the much loved Noreuil Park alongside the picturesque Murray River and iconic plane trees, the River Deck Café offers a truly unique experience with distinctive dining amongst a buzz of surrounding activity (such as bike riding, canoeing, paddle boarding, and kids playing in the park).
Enjoy the warmth of the cosy fireplace in winter or savour the fresh country air in the warmer months on the open deck – The River Deck Café offers a vibrant atmosphere no matter what time of the year or the weather conditions.
Sip, sample and savour the River Deck Café’s sophisticated and mouth watering dishes created from locally grown produce by our incredibly talented team, Mauritian head chef Ludo Baulacky and Belgian born restauranteur Alex Smit.

Services was terrible, food was absolutely disappointing. Not fresh at all and certainly not up to the standard the restaurant believes it holds.
Very disappointed overall.
Service and atmosphere great. COVID conditions implemented well. Unfortunately the prawn in the seafood basket covered by a crusty covering was not shelled and was rather embarrassed spitting out numerous shells and ended up coughing a bit due to the shell which didn't help my embarrassment considering the COVID situation.
Always a fantastic experience at River Deck, I love the different food choices, makes a nice change from the standard bacon and eggs fare of other places.
Staff are wonderful and friendly and who could beat the location??!!
Thanks again for a fabulous experience
Decent food overall. Rosti was very overcooked but the rest was good.
Great atmosphere. Great surroundings. And the best food.
Thank you to wonderful staff for efficient & caring service.
Disappointing. The QRCode system linked to menu does not work on all phones causing unnecessary delay in ordering. Significant when dining time is SO short. Ordered a main meal and coffee. Didnt get meal til 25 min into our 75 min allocation. Took the rest of our time to eat a very generous sized salad requiring substantial chewing. On ordering our coffees, we were advised we had no more dining time available and would have to collect it at takeaway window and drink it outside (in the rain!) Not impressed to say the least. Just relieved that l hadn't invited a friend from out of town to experience this obvious rationalisation i.e. to move as many customers through in the shortest amount of time for the greatest financial gain.
We realise that all dining venues are experiencing limitations due to NSW social distancing rules. However, we regularly support local dining enterprises and have never experienced this embarrassing scenario. Could l suggest a little more generosity with time allocation and set time blocks for mutual business/consumer convenience?
River deck consistently impresses! The menu is varied, food is always fresh and flavoursome. We love the outlook, it is always an enjoyable experience going to the river deck.
Would recommend the breakfast menu to anyone. The ambience, food and staff are very friendly and are extremely helpful to accommodate your needs. We look forward to going to the River Deck for breakfast on the weekend and wish we had the chef at our place full time. Well done to everyone there.
Just an amazing beautiful place to eat in our local area :)
The staff were very upbeat and friendly. The use of an electronic menu which required you to register before accessing is a really smart way of getting people to do it.
Excellent social distancing with table lay-out enabled good conversation.Waitress friendly and very attentive eg checked with us regarding additional bread
Overall a very pleasant outing...
The atmosphere, location and service was great for a small Birthday celebration and the staff helped make it special. The noise level was fine and enabled a person with hearing difficulties stay invovled in the conversation while still having enough sound for the place to feel alive and happy. The vegetarian options are perhaps not the best value for $$.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at River Deck. The food was delicious, lots of variety and great value. The service we received was fantastic.
Nice place. Lovely outdoor verandah. Really great staff.
Service was good, waiters were really friendly and tentative. The venue was really nice with a lot of natural lighting. Food unfortunately was a little bland/ average, nothing special for the price.
Great venue, was happy with most of the food except the Gnocchi, very dry, tasted just like mashed potato, a bit disappointing.
Very relaxed atmosphere, but with restaurant quality meals
Chicken burger was delicious. Food was served quickly.
Beautiful location and very friendly, helpful staff. The food was good, though choice was limited.
Great atmosphere, service and food. Ask for a table outside and they have shaded areas.
Embarrassed and disappointed in the experience my friend from Canberra and I had
A great lunch at a beautiful location.
Coffee was great - food was great - a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
We had a lovely time, unfortunately my note about us bringing our dog didn't show on the reservation.
Staff found us a table outside even with the limited seating, which we were very thankful for.
Service was really good, can't fault.
Food was good, the Market fish a highlight.
Made very welcome on arrival. Food awesome. The ambience was calming. Lovely staff.
In these COVID times restaurants and eating places all have different procedures. River Deck excelled in its concern to keep customers safe. However it was the exceptional presentation and taste of the food that leaves the lasting memories. Congratulations!
Lovely location. Food was good and staff were ver attentive
Had a lovely meal for a business meeting. COVID restrictions well handled. The seafood was fresh. Look forward to being back again soon.
Great surroundings and excellent location to dine. Service was great from the staff who greeted us, however the was an older lady who didn’t seem to enjoy her job. Once delivered our meals, we politely asked for pepper and salt, she said sure but slammed them down on the table which made us feel uncomfortable. I get that when you are at work you can get a bit frustrated, but you never should let your customer see it.
Each time we travel to Albury we try to go here, however is it usually booked out. We were lucky this time and were not disappointed. Everything about the restaurant/cafe was 5 star. We sat outside and enjoyed the view and friendly people calling over to say hi and pat our dog. The breakfast menu was special and our dishes were delicious. The decaf on almond milk was also to be highly recommended.
Beautiful place to relax with friends and enjoy some lovely food and drinks.
Great food and service as always. Love taking visitors to River Deck
We had a wonderful lunch at the Riverdeck. Everything was done so well, it was very pleasurable experience that I would highly recommend.
Absolutely love this venue. Doesn't matter if it's a coffee catch up, breakfast with the girls or a nice quiet lunch. This is the place to be..
Lovely setting by river and large trees. Indoor space has been revamped due to Covid and is warm and attractive. Food is high quality and coffee always excellent. Service attentive.
Had a lovely lunch out with my Dad outside on the deck with our chocolate labrador. Service was excellent and we both enjoyed our meals - Dad having the seafood basket and myself have the incredible gnocchi. Highly recommend, the staff were very friendly and professional, it was a delight.
Awesome food and great service, also very accommodating thanks heaps
Over priced over rated poor value and many more complaints to many to mention
It was lovely to sit, eat and admire the outdoors.
Opentable showed a menu that was very different from the one we got on arrival. The food was either too spicy, chewy or over deep fried. It was like dining at a bad country pub. New chef needs to be employed and the old menu back - illustrated on this website.
We had a lovely time on the deck on a beautiful day.
