The Food and Staff, (Thank you , Lola), were all Amazing. Will definitely revisit.
This was our first visit, and it was ROUGH. We sat outdoors on a 60 degree day where heaters were running. We asked if they could be turned off (as we were sweating and fairly uncomfortable) and they said of course, but it never happened. Most of the menu wasn't available. There wasn't a drink menu (even though drinks were available). We were told of a 10% covid surcharge (which is fine) and then auto-grat'd for an additional 20% (we were a party of 3 people), so we paid an additional 30%, without being given any option otherwise. The server repeatedly pulled his mask off AT the table. The food was mediocre. It was truly a disappointing experience, especially for our first visit. I doubt we will return.
The location seemed understaffed. Our waitress came to our table once to take our order and never returned. There was no cocktail menu, and we were only able to order 1 drink from the brief list the waitress recited to us. Lastly, we were charged a $10 “COVID” service fee. They must have not been too worried about service because gratuity was included.
The waiter was not attentive. Thankfully the manager saw we had been waiting awhile and came to take care of us.
Bad service, mediocre food. Not worth going to in general
First time @ Row Harlem for brunch. While the food & service were exceptional, was not pleased when we received our check that included a 10% "covid fee" and a 20% gratuity automatically added to our bill.
I didn't see a mention of the "covid fee" on the menu or anywhere else. Maybe I missed it. It would probably be a good idea to let the diners know of this in advance. As for the automatic 20% gratuity, that amount is usually tagged on for parties of 6 or more. There were 4 of us...didn't appreciate that much either.
While I appreciate the hardships the restaurant industry have suffered during the pandemic, having diners who are coming out to support them incur multiple fees, may be offputting. BTW, I tip generously when service is good. I would have done so in this instance. I just don't like not being given the option.
I love The Row! The food is always amazing. Our waitress gave great recommendations and was very attentive. The ambiance is cozy and the food is reasonably priced. My only qualm is that it was cold and raining outside and I had to wait in the rain until the other person in my party arrived.
I went to the Row Harlem to celebrate my 47th birthday with family and friends. My contact Alex was great and my waitress Lola was great as well.
Food and drinks were awesome.
I will be returning soon.
The food is fantastic! The staff is so welcoming!!! Love this place!
When I tell you we were so pleased!!!!!!
THE FOOD! THE PORTIONS! THE SERVICE! THE AMBIANCE!
They get 5 stars for me
The FROZAY WAS AMAZING
CHICKEN & WAFFLES AMAZING
JERK MAC AND CHEESE SO GOOD
JUST GO CHECK THEM OUT!
Valentine’s Day brunch was a success!
Outdoor seating on a 23 degree day is never the wisest idea. But was determined this day. There’s only so much the outdoor heaters can do in that situation so I don’t necessarily fault them but maybe close off a
Great staff, good atmosphere, great happy hour, great Asian wings, great service
Really good food but the wait staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Nice people but completely unprepared and overwhelmed by just 7 tables of people (not even crowded)
Great food, great service, great atmosphere, loved Malita
Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. Staff was pleasant. I will definitely return
The music was awesome. The staff friendly. The food amazing. Will definitely be back!
Great experience, delicious food, music could have been a little lower and they were out of dessert but other than that great!
I absolutely loved my experience at The Row Harlem!!! The brunch and endless mimosa was bomb!
The food was really good, I've already told others about it and plan on coming there before the end of the month.
Very disappointed. I come here often. And more times than not, items aren’t available on both food and drink menu.
The portions reasonable and food quite tasty. The service was great as well. Small spot great for a intimate meal.
The food was on point . I had the escovitch fish and my husband had the steak. The place is really small but loved the atmosphere . Music was playing .
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We waited for over two hours for our food, which never fully came. My crab cake Benedict ended up being two crab cakes. No English muffin. No egg. No hollandaise. There were no home fries with the steak and eggs. One person in our party had to leave before getting any food because 30 minutes went by before they came to tell us they were out of most of the menu. It took two hours for two pieces of cornbread! If it takes that long to make it red velvet then it’s definitely not worth it. We got extra mimosas, but in the end that didn’t close to making up for everything. It’ll take a lot for me to go back to The Row.
Love the restaurant, live in the neighborhood and have been a few times. This visit was a bit of a mess because we had repeated and unnecessary disasters with our order. A basic request to leave a sauce off the dish due to a dairy allergy required too much intervention and resulted in side orders that we did not request.
Part of the problem appears to be the fact that wait staff is not dedicated to specific tables. I believe that three separate people were involved with our table. This works well for water but cross-fertilizing responsibility for orders causes confusion and errors.
Also, there must be a disconnect between wait staff and the chef because the request for no sauce clearly was not received by him or was mistakenly ignored. In the end, we enjoyed the meal but it took a few attempts to get the order right.
I am really happy to have this new place to enjoy in the neighborhood. The deviled eggs are to die for. And I really want you to succeed. A little finessing/additional training for the staff would be great.
I came here for my birthday brunch and I must say, I was impressed! I already reserved reservations and it was a bad rainy day so I didn’t have to wait to be seated at all. The service was quick, our questions were answers and the food was well put together. I enjoyed the red velvet cornbread. The mimosas were my favorite. I will definitely recommend and come back to The Row especially for brunch.
The place is small good place for conversation or a date. The music was 90s and 2000s which was great. The food was amazing. No complaints here. Definitely a spot I will go to again. I went for a small birthday brunch.
Ran out of food
Cute spot for a speakeasy-ish date night. Excellent bartender!
It was my second visit; first for dinner. It's a great neighborhood spot. I will visit again. I recommend it!
My new go to place for Brunch. Will definitely return to try more dishes.
Would absolutely recommend The Row Harlem. Menu is delectable. Chef Wlliams and his team know what they are doing back in that kitchen! Can't wait to return. Menu is inventive and cutting edge, without trying to hard to be over the top! Love it! Servcie is delightful! My new spot!
We went during Harlem Restaurant Week. We loved the food. It was really delicious. There was a happy hour going on at the same time which made it a little bit louder than I would have liked, but I enjoyed the music selection. Service was good. Although, it took some time for our third course to come out. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would likely go back again.
Jerk Mac n Cheese was 🔥🔥🔥
Brussel Sprouts 💯
Salmon 😋🤤
Certain dishes can be heavy on the truffle oil but overall food was good
Ambiance was amazing..........Some staff seemed unfriendly but most were great. Food was DELICIOUS! Nextime I will try the brussel sprouts....I had the Lobster roll.......very fresh! Definitely a return trip is on my calendar.
Great bartender .. Knowledgeable server and phenomenal food
This is my second time at The Row Harlem. It will not be my last. Once again the food was amazing the highlight of the evening was the fried brussels sprouts so delicious on every level. Once again my friend and I had to speak with the chef to find out how he can eat is such a delicious meal. When chef came out He was gracious and friendly and was more than happy to speak with us. Being at The Row feels like being home. I saw the familiar faces from my first visit and was treated like family.
Great pickles and chicken and waffles!!! Oh and ur damn devil eggs HELLO!! Don’t forget the drinks were so yummy!!
Amazing food, awesome drinks, delightful staff... call ahead if you are going with a large party but all in all this place is one of Harlem’s gems!
Food was good but took forever. Appetizers came out with my meal which came out well after everyone else’s...about 2 hours after arrival. They had no dessert which was disappointing for a lover like me. I was looking forward to that portion of the meal. Place was well decorated. Had a good vibe. We’d reserved a table in advance but they weren’t prepared for us, they moved people around and created a space near rest room and kitchen which was slightly uncomfortable. Waitress was delightful but slightly overwhelmed due to short staffing. The staff was nice, friendly and polite. The experience wasn’t horrific, Just need a few tweaks. I may be back in a few weeks for another reservation before I call it quits so hopefully things go better.
This particular night the chef left for the day or decided to not show up for his shift, meaning there was no food...I was not notified prior to, the waitress apologized and said that all reservations were cancelled and that the was a limited food menu and full bar service only. There were no more than 10 tables (mostly 2 seaters), very small space and not worth the time or effort. Highly disappointed, but hey Ponty Bistro is a hit right across the street!!
